I’m glad to see you’re for Allen West but sorry, anyone who imagines Romney is better than Cruz ends up suspect in my book.

Remember your original statement in post #103 to which I responded. You asked between Cruz and Romney, “Which is the better of the two?” Do you actually believe that lying socialist Romney is better?

I must admit, you are way more fortunate than most of us here in Florida. You say you “saw” Romney campaign. When Willard came here, the only person he campaigned against was Newt Gingrich. After the republican nomination, he spent his time calling Obama his friend while kissing up to all the hispanic groups he could find. Telling conservatives in this state we need to change. Any common sense talk about dealing with the illegal invasion went right out the window. In other words, he did a great job of suppressing the conservative vote with his non-campaign. Maybe you didn’t get to see any of that, but I got to see it up close and personal. As much as I hate Obama, Romney made me sick.

You can never determine what Romney supports by what comes out of his mouth. You have to watch what he does. He may have said he wanted employers punished, but by his own actions, he condones them hiring illegals. So I would put zero stock in anything he “said” in a debate.

You can say all you want about Cruz. Romney is a socialist lib, a total non starter. Cruz is not a socialist. That makes him better than Romney any day of the week.

You do seem more conversant about Cruz than you are about Romney. Oh and I don’t bet, period. Bets with prevaricators are time wasting, foolish endeavors.

Here’s your post #170 which was response to my post #169:

Which speeches are you quoting, the ones before he was nominated? It certainly wasn’t from any speeches after he was nominated.
Care to make a wager on that?

I hadn’t realized Cruz was “nominated” for president. I must have missed that in 2012. You knew I was talking about Romney. Stop trying to deflect. Keep talking up your lying, non campaigning hero, Romney, all you want. You and all the rest of the GOPe know where you all can go.

There is no way a man who only campaigns against conservatives and makes nice with liberals so much he refuses to even campaign against them, will ever be better than Ted Cruz. I may not agree with Cruz on everything, but Willard and the rest of his commie, pinko, Fabian socialist backers need to leave this party and go join the party of his best buds — the dems.

As for you and your wager, it looks like you and Romney have something in common — prevarication.

Don’t have to wager. With Mitt, it depends on the audience. If he wanted you believe he was against amnesty, he would say he was a severe conservative to your face. But, if you were a part of the hispanic audience, he would ban all the reporters and tell you to forget all that other talk — you’ll get your amnesty with him in office.

Just as he wanted gays in the military and actually instituted gay marriage in this country, he wanted his illegal friends from his dad’s birth country (Mexico) to have easy access to US citizenship.

I would never bet on anything Romney says at any given time. Whatever he is touted as saying, you can find him saying the exact opposite with another crowd.

I’m not saying it’s fertility based at all. There may be a nature, age of the egg or age of the sperm component there, but as with many things, some nurture is probably involved.

Older parents who have experienced difficulty bearing children may behave differently than parents who have never experienced any difficulty having kids. Older first time parents may approach dealing with children differently and there is less chance that older parents will have large families.

Smaller families with parents used to dealing with adults primarily, who are fearful about all the dangerous things in the world that can happen to their child, may consciously or subconsciously contribute to more instances of children (predisposed to autism) developing autism.

Having your first child in your 40’s is a new thing. You’re correct about women continuing to have children into the 40’s but most of them started in their teens and 20’s. Women who did not have children by the time they were thirty to forty were considered barren if married and old maids if single.

With Romney you have to know context. As I said even, before the primary season in 2012, he was an amnesty lover. He says one thing to one group and something else to another group.

Romney is always a RINO except when he, in his own words, is a severe conservative. Remember his own socialist lib father was born in Mexico. Also, Mitt had illegals working on his yard (he was caught red handed on two separate occasions) when he ran before the ‘08 convention.

Anyone who believes that prevaricator holds a conservative position is either lying or naive. Is he a republican, yes. Is he a liberal/socialist, yes, of the Fabian persuasion. Is he a conservative with conservative beliefs, never. He hates conservatives. He hated them since he and his father hated Reagan years ago. He hasn’t shown any signs of changing. He just pretends to change in order to get the nomination. Don’t be fooled.

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

I do not believe I have proposed anything that is contrary to what has been considered Republican principle. It is at the same time the very basis of conservatism. It is time to reassert that principle and raise it to full view. And if there are those who cannot subscribe to these principles, then let them go their way.” -- Ronald Reagan

"the only other option was to put all the illegals who had crossed our border on busses and send them back to Mexico."

That was the only other option? I don't think so. Why tell that story?

    1. Have employers to use E-verify or other data base (soc. sec.) to determine whether employees are legal.

    2. Levy huge fines on businesses that either refuse to determine legal status or who knowingly hire illegals.

    3. Deny benefits to illegals. No Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), no welfare, no food stamps, no WIC, no unemployment benefits, no social security.

    4. Interpret the 14th Amendment as written. i.e. - no anchor babies.

    5. Once caught here illegally, you can never return to the US legally.

No jobs, no freebies, and no chance use their children. They will leave on their own. That is what George Bush could have done. Oh and by the way, it was done once before by Eisenhower and it worked then.

That is the other side of the coin. These types are exactly what the govt. is encouraging. These are “youngsters who cannot write, research or think analytically.” If you can’t research, you can’t discover the truth. If you can’t think analytically, you can’t logically determine the truth. All these things lead to brainwashed citizens who are too stupid to make decisions for themselves. Citizens too stupid to care for themselves need a nanny. The state will be that nanny and will take everything from you in order to do that job for everyone whether they want or need a nanny or not.

Your son and his friends will be paying for those needs to be met. In fact, the govt. would rather have more needy citizens. The more needy citizens, the more votes they can count on receiving. So they will make sure your son and friends find it so hard to make it on their own, logic will tell them it would be better to stop struggling to do it.

I guess you’ve decided to leave the baby out of the process as well. Since you’ve decided that he or she must never has a say in whether they can choose to have their brains sucked out and be torn to shreds or not.

A woman can decide not to be a mother by refraining from sex or by giving the baby up for adoption. No one is forcing her to be a mother.

You argue the man should not have a say by telling us that you would rather men abdicate their responsibility as men and fathers. Women cannot make babies alone. They need something from a male by God’s design. Also by the Lord’s design the male was to be the head of the family. Refusal to take on that responsibility is what has placed so many families and children at risk today. But here you are advocating that very thing — letting these cowardly men get away with running from their responsibilities.

You’ve got to be kidding. You think Marco is going to change? If he were ever going to change, he would have done it already. We knew about his amnesty tendencies before he ever ran for the senate. While running for senator, he came out against the tough AZ immigration laws and lost a good deal of his support. So he shut up and didn’t mention it except to say those he was running against were for amnesty but he wasn’t. (That was obviously a lie.) Once in office, he went full monty for amnesty. He turned every trick he could think of to get amnesty made law. The blow back against him was swift, fierce and strong. So Marco went into hiding again. If he comes out and says he’s not for amnesty once more, he’ll be lying, again.

Then when election time comes, they can say they voted against amnesty-X even though they voted for amnesty-y.
