Parents in Gilford New Hampshire went to a school board meeting to get answers as to why they were not notified that their children would be reading the book "Nineteen Minutes" which details, among other things, a violent sexual encounter between teenagers. On a day when we also hear that a California school district was trying to move forward with a "lesson plan that instructed middle school students to make arguments denying the Holocaust happened," isn't this the type of parental involvement we should be encouraging? I can understand if he was being abusive or if he kept the meeting...

Following is a letter I wrote to my congressional delegation. Feel free to use it to do the same. Hon. Sen. ----- 1. Heavily Armed, Militarized Federal Agencies I hope that you are aware of the standoff between heavily armed agents and contractors of the Federal Bureau of Land Management and the rancher Cliven Bundy and his family in Bunkerville, NV. This confrontation came very close to being another Waco. There are some that would say that it came close to starting another civil war. There is absolutely no need for Bureau of Land Management, Park Rangers, Fish & Game,...

This is a MUST SEE documentary of Obama's origins, his upbringing, his education, and his rise to most powerful man on earth. It's worse than you ever thought. When reading the "Little House" series by Laura Ingals Wilder to my children, I encountered much of what made this country a free and strong nation. Following is an excerpt from Little Town on the Prairie. I believe this excerpt is within the "legal use" limitations. It is July 4, in the 1880s and Laura, her father and her sister Carrie went into town in Desmet, Dakota Territory, for observances. A man stood up to address the crowd and read the Declaration of Independence. Here is the excerpt from Laura’s book. Laura and Carrie knew the Declaration by heart, of...

And for the support of this declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor. Where is the sacred honor of the people in government today? Perhaps a better question is, where is the sacred honor of the people who elected that government? Where is the regard for Divine Providence, that is, for the God of the Bible, to whom these men are clearly referring? Consider the opening verses of Chapter 13 of Paul's letter to the Roman believers. Let every soul be...

The Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva accused the European Union, the United States, and other developed economies of "corrupting" inefficient farmers by granting of subsidies and, with this, producing "poverty" in the developing world. In a speech in the second session of the Summit of European Union-America Latin-Carribean, Lula inquired, "How long will we tolerate this perverse situation?" Later, he afirmed that "In the international community, the feeling grows that agricultural subsidies, which we already know are immoral, are also illegal.
