We here at FR know what kooks the Animals Rights (leftists) are...the hard job is getting the word out to the young people who have forever been the tender prey of these radical groups.
I include HSUS as an Animal "Rights" terrorist group too.

I agree with you Cherry. I have raised, groomed, handled, shown, and boarded AKC purebred Beagles for years and I have seen more traumatized Beagles that were simply improperly socialized as puppies than these Laboratory Beagles appeared to be.
All Beagles can have that "woe is me" look on their face but if they are truly abused or fearful of people it takes MONTHS, if EVER, for them to come around enough to lick a humans face, etc.,
Perfect tear-jerker music added to the emotional build up of the story but I think it is a story with only one, questionable side being told.

I noticed!!! That interview has me convinced that the mother is probably a sociopath and guilty. If that were ME and my baby was still missing I would be a wreck and swearing to quit drinking and whatever else it might take, ANYTHING, forever, if I could just get my baby back. I’d be desperate and ready to trade God my own life for my baby...this woman is NOT behaving like a normal mother! I also thought that the fathers behavior spoke volumes. I think he knows she did it but is lying to himself.

I normally never post on this list but since I have actual experience, I am going to in this case.
Colorado was the first and only state to pass mandatory licensing for breeders. This came about when we were informed about a bill that was going to the legislature the following day. No advance notice, but in those days we weren't as alert as we are now. We all gathered at the state capitol, dog breeders, cat breeders, small animal breeders, 4-H Leaders and their troops, any person who had an animal and was interested in protecting their rights to own that animal. The bill requiring mandatory 10 year moratorium on ALL breeding was defeated. A meeting was held and we decided, to our everlasting regret, that we needed to write a bill we could live with.
We spent a year writing the Pet Animal Care and Facility Act. A task force representing 13 different animal groups, was formed. Dog breeders, both large scale and small, cat breeders, small animal breeders, bird breeders, animal welfare officers, veterinarians, Retail stores, wholesale suppliers, general public, etc. We met for an entire year, and presented a bill into legislature calling for licensing and inspections of all these groups. It passed into law easily as the entire industry was supporting it. A Pet Animal Advisory Committee was then formed, with the same representative groups, charged with writing the rules and regulations to go with the law. I represented the dog breeders of the state of Colorado for 4 years.
Originally, the licensing fee for dog breeders was $175, now it is $350. The original number required to be licensed was 25, then 15, and now it is suppose to go to 12. This is any dog over the age of 4 months. I have been told the age may also go down to 3 months. No legislative voting, no nothing was required to change portions of the requirements.
Originally, if you worked a normal 9-5 job, you could put on the application that the inspector could come by appointment. This year, if you refuse to take off work, to allow them access at any time, you are in violation, will have hefty fines and could even have your license revoked.
The inspector recently demanded in person and later in writing from a SHOW breeder, all her AKC records. When she refused, they have threatened to take her license away. This is still being argued, so will see how it plays out. The law only says you have to make all records available to the inspector to see. Now, they are demanding to take your records with them.
Also, at any inspection, they will not give you the inspection report unless you demand it. It is mailed to you later with any petty violations they find. You have no recourse or ability to argue the unfairness of any violation. The last inspection I had the inspector said everything was great. But, I got a report in the mail later that I was in violation because I had an opened sack of dog food on the property. And, because I had an orphan litter of puppies. When I complained loud and clear, I was told the litter should have been taken to the vet's, as they had the knowledge and experience necessary to deal with the puppies OR I SHOULD HAVE EUTHANIZED THE PUPPIES.
I filed a formal complaint with the Dept. of Agriculture and had a hearing. The open sack of dog food was dismissed but the other was not. My vet wrote a letter and came to the hearing and testified as to my ability to raise an orphan litter, no avail. The inspectors still ruled the vet was better able to care for them.
The inspectors have the right to enter ANY part of your house, garage, kennel, yard, etc. where you might maintain, raise, etc. any dog. This means your bedroom or bathroom if that is where you have any dogs. Quesiton: How many of you have a dog sleeping by your bed???? How many have puppies born in the bedroom?
All of the bills being introduced in various states are patterned after the Colorado bill. During the bill writing process we had great guys in the Dept.of Agriculture. has died, one retired, and the other got promoted out of the dog program.
The state vet, the head of PACFA, the inspectors promote and encourage the Animal Rights propaganda. One inspector has even gone so far as to say she would like to see all breeders stopped. The hen house is being protected by the fox. Do you want your state to be in the same position?? Get involved now, don't give in to any of their suggestions.
DON'T ever think you can bargain with them. That is like bargaining with the Devil. We don't know if it is too late for Colorado, breeders have rallied and are fighting for their lives and their rights to own, breed, and show dogs.

    Please visit this website!
Many of us dog, cat, horse, and bird breeders are actively fighting bad legislation that is being put forth by Peta's best buddy the HSUS. They are trying to abolish ALL of our rights to OWN pets. At this point they are focusing their agenda with attacks on purebred dog breeders under the disguise of ridding the country of "puppy mills" but actually they will first be destroying the devoted, small scale, professional breeders and eventually the only place a family will be able to find a pet will be from the large commercial puppy producers OR shelter dogs (shipped in from Mexico and other 3rd world type countries).
Please do not donate any money to HSUS or the SPCA. Many local shelters are also run by liberal HSUS extremist types so at this point I would say save your money. If you donate to your local shelter you are very likely supporting the importation of dogs from other countries while also helping the HSUS to destroy purebreed dogs in America.
    Now that's unAmerican!!

    2009 NH Legislative Briefing Summary

HB 337: Requires that those selling more than one cat or dog per year to obtain a temporary license for $25, valid for 60 days. No more than two temporary licenses can be obtained in a year.

A copy of the bill is at:

Attend the public hearing to voice your opposition or send a letter to each member of the House Environment and Agriculture Committee (see addresses and emails below).

Voicing your opposition at the public hearing is the most effective way to kill the bill (bring copies of your testimony so they have a written record of your concerns).

Talking Points about why HB 337 should be killed:

    - The current NH laws regarding licensing breeders and sellers as well as the animal cruelty laws are sufficient regulation.

    - It creates a new tax on cat and dog owners. A “temporary vendor’s” permit is not required to sell any other item of personal property (car, TV, pet goat or fish, etc.).

    - A similar law was enacted in Maine and they have found that the 60 day term is not sufficient. In fact, if a litter is not placed within 60 days, another permit would need to be purchased.

    - The legislation creates more problems than it solves. Those who want to avoid the requirement will advertise out of state or on the internet.

    More “Breaking News” :(

A SAOVA message to sportsmen, pet owners and farmers concerned about protecting their traditions, avocations and livelihoods from anti-hunting, anti-breeding, animal guardianship advocates. Forwarding and cross posting, with attribution, encouraged.

When was HSUS elected to represent Illinois District 11?

Representative John Fritchey (D, 11) recently introduced House Bill 198, Licensing - Dog Breeder (aka Chloe’s Bill), an overzealous, animal rightist anti-breeder piece of legislation. Every breeder in the state who owns 3 or more intact female dogs would be classified as a commercial entity, subjected to licensing, impossible kennel regulations, invasive inspections inside their homes, and excessive record keeping and reporting. Completing the assault on dog breeders is the proposed bill’s requirement for fingerprinting and criminal background checks.

A constituent emailed the following to Rep. Fritchey: “Under your proposed legislation I would be subject to a criminal background check and fingerprinting, an untrained investigator would have access to my home and could at any time inspect my “facilities” and demand that I build a kennel that meets their idea of what is appropriate as well as exceeding USDA standards.” She continues, “I certainly think that you need to go back and look at what you are proposing recognizing that there are honest, decent people who you will hurt if this is passed.”

Unbelievably, her email was answered by Jordan Matyas, the HSUS Illinois State Director!

When did HSUS take charge of answering correspondence for legislators? Was HSUS elected to represent Illinois constituents in the 11th District? Has Matyas been hired as a staff member or consultant?

In his reply Matyas does not even give direct answers, rather repeats the standard HSUS rhetoric about the need to regulate bad breeders then placates the writer with a pretended interest in hearing her concerns.

The audacity of Rep. Fritchey deferring correspondence to HSUS is nothing short of breath-taking. The gauntlet has been thrown down and dog breeding in the state of Illinois is being criminalized. All breeders, hobbyists and sportsmen need to begin a concerted effort to oppose this legislation.

HB 198 has been referred to the Rules Committee. Talking points and contact information to oppose HB 198 are now posted on the SAOVA website We will provide further updates as information becomes available.

SAOVA commends Rep. Michael P. McAuliffe (R, 20) and Rep. JoAnn D. Osmond (R, 61) for removing themselves as cosponsors.

    Please share this message widely.

Soldiers thankful for kennel club support
    Published: Monday, January 26, 2009

    To the editor:

I wanted to extend my greatest appreciation for the Souhegan Kennel Club’s efforts to support our specialty search dogs here in Iraq.

Your donations to support the canines on ground here have had a profound impact on their morale and quality of life. Often this element of the military has specific needs that can be easily overlooked.

Because of your efforts, the soldiers responsible for these animals have been able to provide them regular checks between missions. These needs may seem minute to an organization of your caliber, but your support has been critical to ensuring the happiness and good health of our animals. The collapsible bowls, toys and grooming supplies provided were met with great anticipation and excitement by both our canines and their handlers.

These animals provide a vital mission and often are responsible for saving the lives of many American sons and daughters. Your organization has improved the quality of life for our animals. I appreciate your efforts and thank you for all that you do. Without organizations such as yours contributing to our efforts here in Iraq, our military would certainly have faced a more difficult time.

Dog owners and breeders have rights too. We have been maligned by the MSM and the Animal Rights lunatics. Most of us are good, decent people who love and take wonderful care of our dogs. Many of our dogs are treated better than many children. This goes for breeders like myself, and for the average pet owner as well. I hate Obama and his followers more and more every day. My 10 year old son came home all bummed out one day last week. I asked him why and he said that he was upset by a book his teacher was reading in class titled “Among The Hidden” about a futuristic American government where families were only allowed two children (similar to communist China) and there were these children called “shadow children” that people hid when they went over the limit but didn’t want to have an abortion or whatever (I am not sure how the book said they tried to control the population exactly)...My son asked his teacher what kind of an mean, horrible President could do something like that and she snapped at him “I don’t know! Probably George Bush or somebody related to him.” He told her he didn’t like it when she talked like that and she said “So what?” He said he sulked all day. I was FURIOUS FURIOUS FURIOUS but since it was “he said, she said” I didn’t call the school and my husband thinks we should let it go or our son will suffer for it, not the teacher. I had a long talk with my son and tried to explain that republicans were the party for Life and that the teacher had it backwards. I also had the lovely task of trying to explain abortion to my son without scaring the $#*! out of him...not easy.

  • Caylee's Skeletal Remains Don't Offer Many Clues to Her Homicide (duct tape might!)

“My mom thinks Casey was drugging the child and leaving her in the car while she partied (so she wouldn’t have to pay a baby sitter) and the child died. If she was drugged AND duct taped, that would certainly be a possibility.”

That makes perfect sense...and the duct tape to keep her quiet until she was knocked out...if this is true just think what a horrible selfish b*tch Casey was not to even care about the brain damage she would be giving her child. She did not care about that little girl thats for sure.

“Because first-time murderers are nervous driving/moving around with a body. They want to get rid of it ASAP.”

GOOD POINT! Also this ties in well with Casey borrowing the neighbors shovel even if she did a lousy job of burying the little body. I tend to think Caylee’s body must have been in the trunk longer than a few minutes though...I wouldn’t doubt if Casey killed her and bagged her in that trunk causing that odor to permeate the car and for the hair and some DNA to be found. It is sad and totally gruesome but I am SO GLAD that they finally found her!!!!

I think you just might be right.
I worked the polls yesterday...I could peg the dems with about 90% accuracy as they were walking up to my table. I was depressed after about an hour...this used be a strong republican suburb of NH....

    Dear Ohio Granny,
No legislation is going to stop the people who do things wrong...they will just go underground, move, and continue to work the system as usual. Unfortunatley only we LAW-ABIDING, CONCIENTIOUS people will lose. Purebred dog (cat, horse, bird, cow, etc.,) breeding and raising is an art and a labor of love.

Another thing, The HSUS is NOT a humane society like our local animal shelters. The HSUS does not rescue animals and rehome them. They are a far left PETA type organization with the main goal of eventually eliminating ALL pet ownership once and for all.

I thought McCain was great and hung in there tough until the end. I was very impressed with McCain. Obama just knows his “script” well

I caught that part of the show too...what really irked me was that Charlie Gibson had the nerve to say that some CONSERVATIVE newspapers don’t print that a person died of CANCER in their obituaries and they needed to come out and not hide cancer deaths from the public. BS! I think the cause of death is up to family members to reveal or not.
