It has occurred to me tonight that I do not remember hearing that the President had planned to have a two week long vacation. I spoke with a local (northern Illinois) organizer about the Washington DC protest on the 12th. She related that she had heard there may be over 500,000 protesters that day! This is incredible to me, but she sounded for real. Has anyone else heard any figures? BTW, I am going...my nineteen year old daughter wants to go also! You know this is important polling news, because the establishment media is pretending it doesn't exist. You can't find a relevant reference to it in searches on "Gallup" at the New York Times, AP.org, the Washington Post, or the LA Times. A Google News search on "Gallup conservatives outnumber liberals" (not in quotes) comes up with all of eight results. The news isn't just that self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals nationwide. That's old hat. The big news from Gallup is that conservatives outnumber liberals in every state in the union, including supposedly uberliberal Vermont and Massachusetts.

A federal judge approved the sale of General Motors Corp.'s assets to a new government-run company, removing a key hurdle to the auto maker's plan to exit bankruptcy. Judge Robert E. A Washington Post-ABC News poll of 1,001 Americans conducted between Thursday and Friday shows that "Overall, 52 percent now say the stimulus package has or will succeed in restoring the economy, down from 59 percent two months ago."
