I live in MA and the Coakley commercials have no suddenly started playing repeatedly. Looks like the money is being mobilized by the severe left.. Brown has only had a few commercials shown compared to her because I think he’s trying to keep a low profile

  • Israel threatens to use force against settlers

When I say not enough planes, I mean Israel does not have enough planes to strike Iran AND protect itself from incoming missiles being fired from Iran, Syria, Lebanon (Hezbollah) and Gaza (Hamas). Iran’s plan is to strike Israel from all sides as a response to an Israeli attack on its nuclear installations. Moreover, Israel cannot use nukes for obvious reasons. The worst possible outcome of an Israeli strike could be alienating the Iranian people. Ironically, most Iranians don’t hate Israel, but hate their megalomaniac government. An Israeli strike accompanied by ground forces (it would have to) would possibly reinforce the belief that Israelis are “murderous” (as seen in the Gaza offensive). PLUS the biggest threat would be Iran closing its straits, AND ONLY the U.S. Navy could stop such a blockade, which is why Israel needs America to be involved. Obviously Obummer is against force, however, like the Democrats in general I feel like he will make a closed-door backroom deal with Israel (he better!). Lastly, I agree with you about the diplomatic war. The nuclear installations are all setup in civilian areas so Iran can claim war crimes like their “bretheren” in Gaza. If America doesn’t help Israel perform the strike and curb the diplomatic BS that will ensue then yes, Obummer is out to destroy America. Sadly, many in the world hate the Jews and would like to see them killed, and I fear that, unfortunately, Obama may make that possibility a reality.

How dare Jimmy Carter! The gall! The audacity! He needs to just shut his mouth. He is a large part of the reason the world is in such a bad place. And a lot of so called “Rightists” always give Reagen a break even though he never cleaned up Farter’s mess, and never made the Iranians pay for their despicable act. Nevertheless, I digress... BUT Obama learned from Farter how to be a charlatan. After all, Farter is the biggest of them all. He claims Apartheid against the Jews, and tries to wipe them from the earth. Obama’s tough talk on the Jewish state has caused anti-Semitism to proliferate at an astounding and truly scary rate in Europe. Yet, who is the Republican that can be trusted? Who has values anymore? Bush caved, and the only R I can think of who could be trusted is Palin and she has her own problems. God have mercy on our FREE civilization (currently free, we will see what Obummer does to change that though).

Why the capitulation? STOP DELAYING THE BOMBS! This strike is America’s job, and they better keep their position as the world’s defenders of freedom. This is a war of freedom vs. repression of speech and free will. This isn’t just Israel’s problem, just like Hitler wasn’t just the Jews problems... If you give these despots something to gain momentum with, the world will pay in the end. Please America don’t let Ahmedenijad enact his twisted wet fantasies and get the nuke and try to destroy Israel to be compared to his hero the Fuhrer...

Navy Patriot, that was truly the most well thought out post I have seen on here, and it is exactly correct. My opinion on Iran is far from the rest of the Right Wing’s... I feel like Obama will be forced to help Israel with Iran because in the face of his failures in all other spheres, the most imperative area for him is the military. If he destroys the economy (he has), ruins foreign policy, messes up health care, Copenhagen, etc THEN he has no choice but to be reluctantly forced into doing what has to be done with Iran. For him to either do nothing or just let Israel attack means the USA is no longer the most powerful nation in the world, and if Israel does it alone (they may not have enough planes, Obama would be trying to throw them to the wolves), it will kill the USA’s credibility EVEN MORE and Obummer will hit even lower numbers. Just my two cents

Alive and well? He is alive, but I am sure he has been maltreated. Israel should not free terrorists for his release... it will come back to bite them. Netanyahu is caught in an ugly game— all I can really do is wish only the best for the land of Zion.

Thank you. He has so far drawn a red line regarding Jerusalem, but then again he did run for election on a platform that was against a two state solution. He said he was extremely opposed to a settlement freeze and now he is working one out with Mitchell’s cronies... My point being: he talks tough. What matters most though is what actually happens on the ground. As an Israeli I would be in favor of trading the West Bank for peace if real peace were attainable but it simply isn’t. I pray that Bibi doesn’t fold regarding Jerusalem.

Yeah I agree with you... the editor of the Jerusalem Post said it would likely be in Israel’s best interest to cut the aid. However, if this were to happen, the Israeli left and media would bully Bibi saying that he “ruined the relationship with the Americans.”

The real question is: If the Israeli public views Obama so negatively, then why is Bibi in such a rush to make a deal with the Americans regarding a settlement freeze? His thinking makes no sense... Obama's anti-Israel rhetoric has alienated even the (disgusting) Israeli left. If public support is behind Bibi, then he should be blowing off Mitchell and the Americans.

Some of Netanyahu's own party is worried that he is selling out his own constituents, which he pretty much is; this is a shame and it is unacceptable. However, despite the ire of some Likud politicians, I am not sure this will go anywhere. Many Likud ministers have been backing up Bibi even though he is repeating the mistakes of his first stint as PM. Will they draw a red line? Only time will tell.
