February Construction Activity Drops 1.4%, Lowest in More Than a Decade 04/01/2011 Associated Press/AP Online By MARTIN CRUTSINGER WASHINGTON - Builders started work on fewer homes, apartments and government projects in February, pushing construction activity down to the lowest level in more than a decade. Construction spending tumbled for a third straight month, dropping 1.4 percent in February, the Commerce Department said Friday. The weakness pushed total activity down to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $760.6 billion, the smallest total since October 1999. That was below the previous recession low set back in August.

i need some reassurance about this election. i'm starting to doubt that BUSH can win this thing. i'm not trying to be negative here. just very concerned. looking at some of these EV maps and the RCP averages - sKerry is starting to firm up some of these states. ok - i just saw this hyped up expose' on a local news channel about how these polls are totally inaccurate because of the cell phone. they are claiming that kids between the ages of 18 and 30 use their cell phones exclusively and therefore cannot be polled by the traditional pollsters. And they drew a conclusion (as preposterous as this is) that the polls should be shifted by as much as 10 (yes that's ten) points in kerry's favor. I have heard many comments about the cell phones not showing up in polling data but never heard this much...
