Everyone's buzzing about Trends Research founder Gerald Celente's recent interview on RT America, where he railed on MF Global for taking his money and closing his positions on gold. On RT America, Celente denounces MF Global, saying he was building up collateral in his account in order to receive gold contracts due to deliver in December. But then, he received a margin call and a broker told him his money (up to 6-figures) was with the court-appointed trustee. Celente has every right to be angry -- he's experiencing what every MF Global client (from hog farmers to hedge fund mangers)...

"Things are going to get much worse," Celente says. "Society is breaking down on every level: socially, economically, politically and it's not just the U.S. It's worldwide." Celente believes the globe is following a similar path to what occurred after the 1929 crash: Severe economic contraction, followed by currency wars, trade wars and, ultimately, armed conflict. Currency wars have already started he said, citing the recent decision by the Swiss National Bank to peg the Swiss franc to the euro. "Trade wars are next and then real wars, unfortunately," Celente predicts. Unlike the 1930s and 1940s, The Trends Journal publisher...

Famous forecaster Gerald Celente of Trends Research says the world's in the midst of another depression and that we're headed for another crash. Celente won't get specific about what he means by "crash," at least with respect to the stock market, but he's convinced that the world is going to the dogs. We'll have riots, he says. And wars. And society as we know it will continue to break down.

Gerald Celente On Collapse and Depression: When is it going to collapse? As I’ve said, I’ve never seen a summer like this. I think we’re going to see the Winter of Discontent… You’re going to start seeing an unraveling more and more every day as you watch the news. So, October is my month, and it’s only a guesstimate, that we’re going to see the big unraveling. Even if it doesn’t happen in October, because you don’t know what phony schemes they’re going to come up with, it’s going to happen eventually. And, that’s why I’m fully invested in gold.

Gerald Celente Disses Roubini After Moving 100% Into Gold Gus Lubin Aug. 30, 2011, 6:21 AM Image: KWN Notorious trend forecaster Gerald Celente has been fairly accurate of late, predicting a double dip and revolutions around the world. He drops some more wisdom in an interview with King World News: “What did Roubini say? Gold would be lucky to go to $1,100 an ounce. Where is it now? Flirting between the high $1,780s and $1,900s. There are a number of people like myself and others that believe it’s going much higher. You know I used to be in Swiss Francs...

In his latest quarterly Trends Journal (Summer 2011), Gerald Celente provides us another “history of the future,” in which he discusses global economic, monetary, and political events as they happen and what their consequences will be for months, years and decades to come. As he has said before, it is only a matter of time before a major terror attack is executed in a major Western nation. And once it happens it will send shock waves throughout the world, leading to mass global panic and a further tightening of the noose around the necks of the populace: What will another...

Leading Trend Forecaster: We Are Not Entering a New Recession Mac Slavo July 14th, 2011 Trend forecaster Gerald Celente, of the Trends Research Institute, in his latest Trend Alert to subscribers, says that media presstitutes continue to sell Americans and the rest of the world the big lie of recovery. It’s nothing more than a cover-up. We never exited the recession that started in 2008.For the second consecutive month, employers added scarcely any jobs in June, startling evidence that the economic recovery is stumbling … The government also revised downward the small gain for the previous month to 25,000 new...

Trend forecaster Gerald Celente gives a preview of his Summer Trends Journal in an interview with King World News. Celente says riots from Iran to Spain are the beginning of another world war, precipitated by food prices, unemployment and inequality. Last year he claimed that 2011 would bring "Off With Their Heads 2.0" and the prediction is going well so far. We transcribed just part of one answer from his breathless interview with Eric King:
-
Celente says the collapse is underway and hasn’t stopped. He points out that government is focused on the past and has failed to address the future. “The whole nation is basically trend-ignorant. Go to any of the universities – Harvard, Princeton, Yale – they don’t look ahead, they look behind.” “They made up the big lie that you have to make the country bigger and controlled by a few,” says Celente. He believes that revolt is ready to happen, as the people are feeling angry, cheated, and betrayed.capitalism floor is its need or the desire for greater profits that constant...

Gerald Celente Says History Is Repeating: First Comes Depression, Then World War Gus Lubin Feb. 4, 2011, 11:05 AM Trend forecaster Gerald Celente says his theory that history is repeating is coming true. Specifically he points to austerity riots and food riots as manifestations of the sort of tensions that led to the Second World War, in an interview with King World News. "The experts… are saying what's going on in Tunisia and Egypt, this is going on in Arab nations. Nah, this is the beginning of something much greater. Figure it out. Civil wars to regional wars to world...

A shocking report prepared for Prime Minister Putin by the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate (GRU) states that one of the United States top experts in biological and chemical weapons was brutally murdered after he threatened to expose a US Military test of poison gas that killed hundreds of thousands of animals in Arkansas this past week. According to this report, John P. Wheeler III, Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, D.C. from 2005-2008, when he became the Special Assistant to the Acting Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Installations, Logistics and Environment, was found brutally...

The fake "recovery" was nice while it lasted, says famous apocalyptic forecaster Gerald Celente, founder of the Trends Research Institute. But now the fun's over, and we're headed for what Celente describes as the "Greatest Depression." Specifically, the always startling Celente says the country is headed for rising unemployment, poverty, and violent class warfare as the government efforts to keep the economy going begin to fail.

The fake "recovery" was nice while it lasted, says famous apocalyptic forecaster Gerald Celente, founder of the Trends Research Institute. But now the fun's over, and we're headed for what Celente describes as the "Greatest Depression." (Snip) The crux of the problem, Celente argues, is that the middle class has been wiped out. America used to be a land of opportunity for all, where hard-working people could build their own small businesses in their own communities and live prosperous and fulfilling lives. But now a collusion of state and corporate interests that Celente describes

Why are the people expecting the government to all of a sudden become intelligent they are a bunch of politicians which are suck-ups and losers ...dogs do not make cats ...they only reason they are on the top is because they sucked their way up.....

He continued, “That’s breaking down as well. Now they’re imposing austerity measures. The entire system is collapsing. We’ve been saying this since the crash began in 2008. They’re only trying to pump it up with stimulus money and it’s not working. So, were going to see more unemployment. There is no way they can keep the system afloat by just dumping more money into it.”

Wow...this is pretty sobering................ Predictions For The Rest Of 2010 Bob Chapman First 6 months of 2010, Americans will continue to live in the 'unreality'…the period between July and October is when the financial fireworks will begin. The Fed will act unilaterally for its own survival irrespective of any political implications …(source is from insider at FED meetings). In the last quarter of the year we could even see Martial law, which is more likely for the first 6 months of 2011. The FDIC will collapse in September 2010. Commercial real estate is set to implode in 2010. Wall Street...

Gerald Celente with Max Keiser On Food Riots, Tent Cities, Mob Rule Politics / Great Depression II May 24, 2010 - 03:32 AM By: Videos "Here we are in 2012. Food riots, tax protests, farmer rebellions, student revolts, squatter digins, homeless uprisings, tent cities, ghost malls, general strikes, bossnappings, kidnappings, industrial saboteurs, gang warfare, mob rule, terror. How could it have come to this? Across the nation and around the world, it was a variation of the same theme. In the United States it was called “Obamageddon,” in the rest of the world it was “The Greatest Depression.” Did no...

The world’s top trend forecaster, Gerald Celente, who has been publishing the Trends Journal since 1991, says his Spring 2010 report is one of the most important Trends he’s ever published: “Of all the Trends Journals® I have published since 1991, this issue stands apart. Were I to rank it, I would say it is among the most important. The United States is on a path that, if not diverted, will lead the world into the first “Great War” of the 21st century. This is not fear-mongering, “pessimism porn,” or hyperbole. Though the historical and external circumstances are so different...

One of his top trends: Neo-survivalism Quote: In 2010, survivalism will go mainstream. Unemployed or fearing it, foreclosed or nearing it, pensions lost and savings gone, all sorts of folk who once believed in the system have lost their faith. Motivated not by worst-case scenario fears but by do-or-die necessity, the new non-believers, unwilling to go under or live on the streets, will devise ingenious stratagems to beat the system, get off the grid (as much as possible), and stay under the radar......

The Collapse of 2010 In November of 2007, we predicted the "Panic of ’08." There was a panic. In November of 2008, we forecast the "Collapse of ’09." In March ‘09, the global equity markets collapsed. But before they could crash all the way to the ground, a scaffold of emergency props was erected. An unparalleled array of government cash infusions, rescue packages, bailouts and incentives papered over the crisis. Today, even as government spokesmen and the major media proclaim that the world is emerging from its near-cataclysmic recession, we predict the "Crash of 2010." The rising equity markets, on...

This link goes to several interviews with Celente, the most recent of which right now is listed as "A Corrupt System Is Failing and It Needs to Fail," from December 9, 2009 Gerald Celente discusses the economy, financial system, Ben Bernanke and future trends forming from current events.

Gerald Celente Says Bernanke Has Devalued The Dollar And Destroyed The Economy Politics / Central Banks Dec 08, 2009 - 03:22 AM By: Submissions Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute is strongly opposed to the idea of Ben Bernanke seeking and getting a second term as head of the Federal Reserve. Celente strongly argues that Bernanke is creating the “bailout bubble” and destroying the U.S. economy. But he says the Fed Chief will get to keep his job because he’s an “insiders.” According to Celente, the fact? that Bernanke is being put back in charge after royally screwing things...

Celente says we are going into a manufactured depression and in America we will call it obamageddon.

"This is a sucker's flame," Celente said from his office in Kingston, N.Y. "It's a false-flag recovery. The stimulus, bailout and buyout packages being forced on the nation, by an administration that misread how bad the economy was, will only lead to Obamageddon: The Fall of Empire America." Celente cites the global financial system as terminally ill because it has been built on endless supplies of cheap money, rampant speculation, fraud, greed and delusion. He sees a collapse coming, and predicts that by 2012 everyone will face the truth, and we will be in the midst of the Greatest Depression...

This is going to be felt worldwide (October 2009) Gerald Celente, Trends Research founder, discusses the US Dollar on Russia Today I say it over and over again. You can’t print phantom money out of thin air, backed by nothing, and producing practically nothing without destroying the dollar. They’ve been doing it for decades. — It’s more than just the demise of the dollar. This is going to be felt worldwide. There’s a major financial crisis ahead. The United State, the world’s super power, is failing on its most basic level - and, that’s the gold rule. Those who have...

The Right Scoop has Fox News’ interview with Trends Research president Gerald Celente, an economic prognosticator with a long history of prescience, in which Celente predicts an economic collapse for the US in the next few years. Despite his track record, New York Magazine pooh-poohed his predictions, calling them “pessimism porn” last February. Considering the direction of the economy since February, it seems that Celente at least has an argument:

renaissance n. A rebirth or revival It’s amazing what goes on in the middle of the night when most of us are sound asleep. After a unfortunate encounter with a Brown Recluse Spider crawling over my bed, and my misguided attempts to kill it with a slipper and then chemicals, I had to abandon my bedroom. So I turned on the radio, unable to get but 3 stations, 2 of them in Spanish, and Coast to Coast Am. I ordinarily don’t listen to conspiracy theories and worries of boogymen I can do nothing about, because as our patriot friend, Terry...

Here is video of Gerald Celente predicting what he calls "Obamageddon." Celente, of the Trends Research Institute looks into the future and gives some rather dire predictions based on what President Obama is doing. By the year 2012, Celente predicts a whole host of dire results by the year 2012. Celente has correctly predicted many other things in the past. Here is what some of the major media organizations in America have said about Celente and his ability to predict future trends . . . . (Watch Video)

Empire America is on the verge of collapse. Its social, economic and political systems are failed and failing, observes Trends Research Institute Director, Gerald Celente, in the Summer Trends Journal. “The measures taken by successive governments to save the politically corrupt, morally bankrupt, physically decrepit giant from collapse have served to only hasten its demise. While the decline has been decades in the making, the acceleration of ruinous policies under the current Administration is leading the United States — and much of the world — to the point of no return,” says Celente. The “green shoots” sighted by Field Marshall Bernanke...

It’s the end of the world as the Greater Depression hits after 2010’s failed “W-recovery” Human Events had the opportunity to interview forecaster extraordinaire Gerald Celente, President of Trends Research Institute, several days ago -- and the future he predicts looks bleak indeed. In fact, as Mr. Celente sees it, the Great Depression will seem like a mild recession as what waits for us in 2011 hits with the force of a Katrina financial hurricane. In case you’re wondering who Mr. Celente is (if this is still possible), he’s appeared -- along with his predictions -- on Oprah, CNBC, Reuters,...

Trend forecaster Gerald Celente has been getting a lot of attention lately. He has a pretty good track record, having predicted the crash of '87, the rise of Starbucks, the bail out frenzy, among others. Now he's forecasting a super-depression come 2012. I first came across Mr. Celente's doomsday predictions a few months back. In November I did a post that challenged his predictions. I agreed that we had serious problems, but I was much more confident that we would recognize and reverse the situation before it got ridiculous. Now, I'm beginning to think Mr. Celente's predictions of total financial...

People need to hang up their Hope and start learning how to SURVIVE. Those who fail to do this will reap the consequences later. Wake up and pay attention. I am just a normal everyday person and I can see what is happening to our nation, to our societies, our families and our economy. The writing is on the wall and most people are still trying to pretend like we are in a recession that the government will fix. That the GOVERNMENT will fix! They don’t know WHAT they are doing – they got us into this mess and we...

Gerald Celente: "Worst economic collapse ever" Gerald Celente - one of the world's foremost leaders in trends forecasting interviewed by Marina Portnaya, a Russia Today journalist. "In 2009 were going to see the worst economic collapse ever, the Greatest Depression", says Gerald Celente. He believes it's going to be very violent in the U.S. and our future will include a tax revolt. Apologies for the mediocre, out-of-sync audio, but overall the message is well worth it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nJ7LM3iyNg

LISTEN TO JOHN AND KEN ONLINE Yes, Celente has made some bad predictions (particularly about the war in Iraq) but it is important to at least listen to him on the economy. I hope he's wrong, but what he is saying seems to make a lot of sense. I taught real estate law and econ for 10 years. We are in a real estate cycle like nothing I've seen in my lifetime. Celente is right about commercial property. What we are going to see next year is an economic tsunami.

LISTEN TO JOHN AND KEN ON KFI I've heard Gerald Celente many times. He has been predicting what we are watching unfolding. People really do not realize how bad things are.

SINGAPORE, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Although political forecasting and economic prognostication have long made astrology look respectable, there is still a latter-day Nostradamus who has defied the odds. "If Nostradamus were alive today," said the New York Post, "he'd have a hard time keeping up with Gerald Celente" -- the man who tracks the world's social, economic and business trends for corporate clients.
-
Celente has been very accurate in the past, and predicts a Revolution, food shortage, the USA becoming an undeveloped country, and even more depressing goodness. Being unbiased, and his record of accuracy makes this forecast frightening.
