  • Vanity:Freeper Help Needed (Boston/PANDAS Syndrome)

A lady from my church commented on Facebook this evening and I just happened to catch it - it was in regards to a medical condition called PANDAS. I know that one of her kids has an obscure medical condition but I don't know the particulars. So,I read the big long story* on Facebook (Short version - child has PANDAS & gets sick. Parents take child to Boston Childrens Hospital. Hospital is acting strangely. Child Protective Services takes control of child. Prelim hearing gives temporary custody to State. Child is still hospitalized.) I did "Bing" searches on most names given,...
  • Why Do Gangsters Aim Their Guns Sideways? Marine Marksman Sheds Light On Gangbanger Tactics

So why do gangsters aim their guns sideways? Marine marksman sheds light on how gunmen from the 'hood unwittingly use a well-known aiming technique It's an iconic image immortalised in dozens of Hollywood gangster films: the gangster aiming down the side of his pistol before pumping a volley of bullets into his victim. But with most people knowing that the aiming sights are found on the top of a gun barrel, it's also a counter-intuitive way to accurately fire a weapon. So why is it that gangsters are always shown using their guns in this way? According to Jon Davis,...

It is on the Youtube. I am not sure if it would be a DMCA violation by linking it, but it is out there and will be availible to buy on itunes and Amazon at midnight eastem time. It is good. It is not overtracked, but I am wondering if the jacked up the recording volume or it is just the quality of the track. I am glad it is not a crossover, good movie theme.
  • German court warns Catholics: pay church tax or face expulsion

    Belfast Telegraph ^ | Thursday, 27 September 2012 | Tony Paterson
A German court gave its backing yesterday to a decree by the country's Catholic bishops declaring that believers who refused to pay an eight percent church tax could not be considered Catholic and would automatically lose the right to receive Holy Communion and a religious burial. The verdict, which was delivered by Germany's chief administrative court in Leipzig, was a bitter defeat for Germany's grass-roots Catholics and conservative church campaigners who had denounced the bishop's decree as "pay and pray" and claimed it sent "the wrong signal". … The ruling was welcomed by Germany's Catholic bishops who said it had...
  • "Elementary"..Sherlock Holmes TV Series

Holmes is having a moment. Much like the BBC show, the classic character is given a modern-day makeover, but that's where the similarities end, as Elementary's Holmes, played with scruffy charm by Johnny Lee Miller, is a recovering addict living in New York City, and his faithful companion, Dr. Watson, is now a woman . For anyone unfamiliar with the rich history of the character, this is about as seismic a change in the Holmes universe as one could ever imagine.... It made me more likely to vote for Barack Obama. No, I feel the same way I did before the debate. Did last night's debate in any way change your preference in the Presidential race? Yes No Who do you think won the debate over Medicare? Obama. He defended his achievements and challenged Romney's plan as unworkable. Romney. He was aggressive and put Obama on the defensive on Medicare. Neither. Both were...

The most telling moment of the debate is when Obama complained "I had 5 seconds left before you interrupted me". So Obama has used 14 minutes 55 seconds of his fame and he only has 5 seconds left.

During last night's debate did anyone else notice 0bamugabe was communicating with someone off stage (his handlers/ Axelrod, Mooch etc.) by very deliberately blinking once (for Yes?) or twice (for No?)? Most video segments of OBozo waiting to rebut Romney seem to have some evidence of this, I know it was not just imagined. What theories do you have on the types of questions he was answering? (This could be fun!)

Anyone who watched last night's debate between President Obama and Mitt Romney saw just how stark a choice the American people face in this election -- and that President Obama is the right choice to keep moving this country forward. On one hand, you have Mitt Romney, who offered absolutely no specifics for how he'll achieve any of the promises he made during the debate. His arguments are based on myths and bad math. And on our side, you have President Obama, who has not only shown that he knows how to get our economy back on track, but has...

By a strange coincidence, both of my children (19 and 20) are having unrelated surgeries in the same hospital right now. My poor son-in-law is doing everything he can to hold this difficult day together. I'm in a different state and pulling my hair out with worry. My husband is flying back home tomorrow. I can't go because I'm post-op myself and sick on top of that. May I please have some prayers sent for all of us? We've been hit with so much (a LOT more than this) this week and we're barely holding it together. The two healthy...

Please forgive me for this vanity post but I could use a few good recommendations. I am looking for good solid conservative people/news links to follow on twitter. Feel free to suggest ones that seem completely obvious to you! I would have liked to follow some during last night's debate as well as keep up with the live thread here. I think the combination of the two would have given me a clearer picture without actually watching the debate. I have a hard time watching Obama.
  • So, is Romney going to cut upper-income taxes over and above the Bush tax cuts - or not?

Romney certainly had a spendid debate performance, but the back-and-forth quibbling over Romney wanting 5 trillion in new tax cuts over and above the Bush tax cuts, then Romney saying no he doesn't support that, then Obama saying yes you do, then Romney "no I don't," etc, etc - it all still left me with the central question: If Romney is elected president, will he cut taxes for upper-income earners over and above the Bush tax cuts. Yes or no? Romney can answer that and we can look back over his past statements on the matter - those during the...
