Shootings left at least 8 people on the South and West sides wounded overnight, according to police. Three of the shootings happened between 4:50 and 5:40 a.m., police said. A 60-year-old woman was shot in the chin about 4:50 a.m. in 4500 block of South Wolcott Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side. Ten people were shot and three people died across the city Thursday night -- eight of them in a two-and-a-half hour window between about 4:10 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. Police responding to a shots fired call found an 18-year-old man "unresponsive" in the 10600 block of South Champlain Avenue about 2:05 a.m. Friday with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Someone reported hearing two "pops" but police didn't have any other information.
