When Obama first entered the White House, he had the bust of Winston Churchill removed. It was assumed it was because of British Colonialism in Kenya. Maybe it was due to things said about Obama’s religion. Quoted from Churchill over 100 years ago: "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries, improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce and insecurity of property exist wherever the...

WINSTON CHURCHILL’S COMMENTS ON ISLAM [Sir Winston Churchill has been recognized as one of the greatest men of the late nineteenth and of the twentieth century. He was an extraordinary war leader to whom the Western World must be forever in debt. He was a prophet in his own time as this quotation, written well over 100 years ago, demonstrates.] "How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries,...

The Obama presidency is fond of issuing apologies for America on the world stage, but very rarely makes them at home to Americans. White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer has just issued one to Washington Post columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer, who last week wrote an op-ed berating the Obama administration for removing a bust of Sir Winston Churchill from the Oval Office when it came to power. Pfeiffer had issued a stinging attack on Krauthammer, alleging that his Churchill bust reference was “100 percent false.” Krauthammer was of course 100 percent correct, and the British Embassy in...

As Telegraph readers will recall, one of the earliest actions of the Obama presidency when it came to office in 2009 was to return a bust of Sir Winston Churchill to the British Embassy, an extraordinary move considering the huge admiration for the wartime leader on both sides of the Atlantic. Tim Shipman, The Sunday Telegraph’s Washington correspondent at the time (now Deputy Political Editor at The Daily Mail), was the first to break the story: A bust of the former prime minister once voted the greatest Briton in history, which was loaned to George W Bush from the Government's...
  • White House admits it did return Winston Churchill bust to Britain

White House admits it did return Winston Churchill bust to Britain Barack Obama's White House has been forced to admit that it did return a bust of Sir Winston Churchill to British diplomats, after describing such claims as "100 per cent false". By Jon Swaine, Washington 7:53PM BST 29 Jul 2012 Aides to Mr Obama were furious after The Daily Telegraph disclosed last week that Mitt Romney planned to restore the Jacob Epstein sculpture to its home under George W Bush from 2001 to 2009. "I'm looking forward to the bust of Winston Churchill being in the Oval Office again,"...

The White House incorrectly claimed that a bust of Winston Churchill was not removed from the White House when President Obama moved in, insisting with emphatic certainty that it had simply been moved to the residence but then retracting the assertion. In a “Fact Check” post added to the White House website Friday, White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer scornfully dismissed as “100% false” the “rumor” that Obama had removed the Churchill bust that had presided over the George W. Bush Oval Office and shipped it back to the British. Turns out Pfeiffer’s was the false statement. Picture [snip] Pfeiffer...

This won’t get 1/1,000th the media play that Romney’s Olympics comments got in London, but in its own way it’s just as baffling. Why, oh why, would they engage on this subject, wholly unnecessarily, and get their facts wrong to boot? The claim from White House spokesflack Dan Pfeiffer: Lately, there’s been a rumor swirling around about the current location of the bust of Winston Churchill. Some have claimed that President Obama removed the bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office and sent it back to the British Embassy…This is 100% false. The bust still in the White House....

As the days go by we see that the political ignorance, sense of self entitlement, willingness to put himself ahead of the Country, and overall lack of diplomatic etiquette of our new President seems to know no bounds. His “forced down the people’s throat” handling of the Stimulus (also referred to by many as Porkulus) bill has been widely discussed, and yesterday I touched on the looming cuts to our nuclear deterrent arsenal. This post will discuss the insult of one of our greatest allies in the world, Great Britain. After the September 11th attacks our British allies loaned President...
