Note mentions an AK47 as an "assault rifle" when it was really a plain civilian semi-automatic rifle. Also refers to "high capacity clips" when what was really involved was standard capacity magazines.

QUESTION: HOW MANY GUNS PROTECT THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF? When I was active duty, there was a minimum of about 30 guns around the POTUS, established in 3 "rings of security". Senators and Congressmen in active service were assigned a minimum of 2 guns (men) each, and, when retired were assigned one each. They carried large magazines of ammo and a minimum of 3 magazines each. So how many gun that the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF wants to outlaw, along with the magazines he wants to outlaw, does he have protecting him every day? The United States Citizens KNOW...

No, you are not a felon or a 2nd Class citizen if you call a "magazine" a "clip." It IS something you might as well get figured out, though, and correct if you want to have respect within the shooting community. It's just a fact, many will judge you as someone who doesn't know much about firearms if you call them "clips." I might still love you, but many won't. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoSNHe413rY
  • Trick-or-treater, 10, pulls gun

A 10-year-old Aiken trick-or-treater pulled a gun on a woman who said she would take his candy on Halloween. According to a police incident report, the 28-year-old victim told authorities she recognized some boys from her neighborhood while they were trick or treating near Schroeder and George streets around 6:30 p.m. and jokingly told them she would take their candy. One 10-year-old in the group of approximately 10 juveniles responded with “no you’re not ...” and then pointed a 9mm handgun at her. According to Aiken Public Safety Lt. David Turno, the clip was not in the gun at the...

MILWAUKEE – The NFL is flagging Sen. Russ Feingold's latest ad, asking the Democratic incumbent to pull unauthorized footage of Randy Moss pretending to moon the Green Bay crowd in 2004. The TV ad, which the campaign said was released statewide Tuesday, opens with a series of clips of football players dancing in the end zone. A four-second clip shows Moss clearly wearing his Minnesota Vikings uniform. The others featured are not playing in NFL games. "We did not license the footage and have contacted the senator's campaign about removing it," NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press in...

You all know how much we love the bar Sidetracks here in Boystown. In a lot of ways, it’s like our little clubhouse, where we plan many an adventure and get the scoop on all sorts of things here in Boystown, especially on Showtunes and Comedy nights, which we love. That’s when the VJs play little clips of Broadway musicals for people to sing-a-long to, or snippets of comedy routines from TV for people to laugh at. Unless they’re clips of Janeane Garofalo, who isn’t, and has never been funny, in which case you’d just hear crickets.

Reprinted from NewsMax.com Monday, Sept. 11, 2006 1:53 p.m. EDT Lewinsky Clip Pulled From 'Path to 9/11' Editing changes made by ABC to the first part of its miniseries "The Path to 9/11" were cosmetic and didn't change the meaning of scenes that had angered several former Clinton administration officials, a spokesman for the former president said Monday. As for Clinton, he didn't bother watching the movie that angered so many people who once worked for him. "He made the choice that most Americans made," said Jay Carson, Clinton Foundation spokesman. "Of a fictionalized drama version of Sept. 11 or...

WASHINGTON - Political comedy often is intended to stir controversy, but this doesn't usually involve broadcasting rights and the public affairs network C-SPAN. The cable network asked two Internet video providers, YouTube and IFILM, to pull clips of Stephen Colbert's April 29 performance at the White House Correspondents Association dinner from their Web sites. C-SPAN said it contacted the companies because the copyrighted material was posted online without its permission. Both YouTube and IFILM complied with the request. Colbert hosts a satirical current events show on Comedy Central and performed his comedy routine at the correspondent's dinner. YouTube posted the...

SOUTH BEND -- A federal judge summed up Alfred Del Toro's problems in the first line of the court's recent sentencing memorandum. "On September 24, 2004, police found (Del Toro) in a house full of sleeping children, loaded firearms and recently cooked crack cocaine," U.S. District Judge Robert L. Miller Jr. wrote. One of the weapons -- a semi-automatic assault rifle with two banana clips holding 63 rounds taped together for rapid reloading -- was found under the cushion of a living room couch where one of the children was sleeping, a police affidavit added. On Tuesday, Miller sentenced Del...

In a sworn statement to be made public Tuesday, University of Colorado President Elizabeth Hoffman said a four-letter word used toward women can sometimes be used as a "term of endearment." The comment comes from Hoffman's latest sworn testimony in connection with a federal lawsuit against the university. The suit was filed by women who say they were sexually assaulted by CU football players and recruits. A lawyer for one of the women asked Hoffman about former CU kicker Katie Hnida being called the "c- word" by a teammate. That player was later disciplined by coach Gary Barnett for making...

Scientists have developed a device which they say could help patients who would otherwise need heart surgery. Researchers told the American Cardiology Conference a tiny metal clip could help patients with a faulty heart valve. Patients currently have invasive surgery to replace the valve, so their heart can work properly. But the researchers said the clip, fed to the heart via a vein, repaired the valve so patients did not need surgery. Heart works harder Doctors in the US have so far used the clip to treat 10 patients with mitral regurgitation, where the mitral valve, which regulates the flow...

Cannabis poses a greater threat to health than tobacco, lung experts have warned. The warning comes on the day that Home Secretary David Blunkett is due to make a Commons statement about the future of government drug policy. Many young people are simply not aware that smoking cannabis may put them at increased risk of respiratory cancers and infections . Dame Helena Shovelton: The Home Affairs Select Committee has recommended that cannabis is downgraded from a class B drug to class C. This would mean that possession would lead to a caution, rather than arrest. The British Lung Foundation is...
