2004 US Senate Elections These are the states I am watching: Florida: I believe that Martinez will help Bush here. I think Cubans that are having doubts about Bush will support him when they vote for Martinez. I think most Hispanics would like to have Martinez representing them and that will push him past Castor. Castor comes off very old and too loyal to the “party.” And she is in real trouble when she has to explain about how she handled the “terrorist professor” when she was the president of USF. The same person who told me about the report told me that a whopping 75% of house and senate members from my state were in the top 20 LEAST friendly to taxpayers in their voting records. Journalists, political pundits and other Hysteric Left activists are desperately trying to spin some cosmic significance out of Sunday's Spanish elections. The "conventional wisdom" is that the Spanish Election results are some sort of significant defeat for President Bush and the War on Terror. As usual the "News Media's" thinking is neither conventional nor wise. What all the various activists miss is the reality of American Exceptionalism. As much as the International Political Left hates, and try's to deny, the reality is the USA operates on a completely different political level then the rest of the world. On Sunday, the...

The reason for my apology was that throughout this primary season we have been hearing about the record turnout of voters participating in Democrat caucuses and primaries. I bought the lie. The truth is that, except for Iowa and New Hampshire, there has not been any sort of record turnout for the Democrats. Even in New Hampshire the vote was far less than what the Republicans had when they last had a contested primary in 2000. The Democrats this year had 219,787 votes in their primary. The GOP in 2000 had 239,523 votes. That 20,000 difference is major in a...

Tuesday was a massacre for the democrats. They had no message and the polling was horrible. I have always been skeptical about polls and it appears that most of the pre-election polls were off. So why did the republicans do so well? George Bush deserves much of the credit, but let's not forget about the great candidates we had. 90% od our candidates were experienced and did well in their debates. The democrats did have a message. It was "no" to whatever being asked. The get nothing done senate was another reason. No bills and no judges were coming out...

Poll cited, derided Strickland campaign sees tight race; Allard camp says no way By Lynn Bartels, Rocky Mountain News September 13, 2002 Democrat Tom Strickland's latest poll shows he is only 2 percentage points behind Republican Wayne Allard and there is declining support for Allard's job performance. That contrasts with a recent poll by Allard that shows he is leading Strickland by 11 points in the race for U.S. Senate. "The Strickland campaign and their pollster apparently are smoking the same thing," Allard's campaign spokesman, Dick Wadhams, said Thursday. The Strickland poll shows Allard with 38 percent to Strickland's 36...

Found this tidbit in a weekly talking points distributed by the Colorado Republican Committee... According to a poll by the Tarrance Group from August 19-20, Bob Beauprez (GOP) is leading Mike Feeley (DEM) 44% to 36% for Colorado's new 7th CD (no mention of the polls MOE). This is encouraging news given the district went for Gore in 2000 and has equal registration between Republicans and Democrats.

State Sen. Marilyn Musgrave handily beat Jeff Bedingfield in the Republican primary election late Tuesday, and she quickly got in position for a potentially bitter fight with the Democratic candidate in the general election. “I think tonight is a night when we can all take a deep breath and really celebrate and get ready to take on Stan the tax man,” Musgrave said, referring to Democrat state Sen. Stan Matsunaka, whom she will face in the general election.

SACRAMENTO – Gov. Gray Davis said yesterday that his Republican rival, Bill Simon, can't hide his unpopular views on social issues from voters by changing the subject. "It really doesn't matter what Bill Simon wants to talk about or what Gray Davis wants to talk about. The public owns this election. They're entitled to hear about any issue of importance to them," he said Simon, the Republican nominee for governor, has said that if his opposition to abortion rights comes up he will try to "change the topic," because he believes a governor can do little to alter rights...
