FEC Commissioner Don McGahn has released a slew of documents that reveal that left-wing partisan rot has set in at the FEC, as well as at the IRS. Among the staff abuses enumerated are: "[U]nauthorized investigations, unsanctioned work with law enforcement, and cases when documents were kept from commissioners. These abuses were largely aimed at investigating conservative political groups." As Townhall readers know, it now appears that IRS staff (Lois Lerner) colluded with FEC staff to harass the American Issues Project, a sworn enemy of the Obama campaign. So what do the IRS and the FEC staffs have in common?...
  • Why Shulman and not Colleen Kelly?

It is Colleen Kelly, the head of the Treasury Employee Union (NTEU), who met with Obama on March 31, 2010. That is on the record. IRS Commissioner, Doug Shulman, went to the White House 157 times, but there is no record of him meeting with the president. When asked by CNSNews, "Did the Treasury union chief talk about tea parties during her meeting with the president on March 30, 2010?," press secretary Jay Carney did not reply. On the very next day, April 1, 2010, the IRS new Acting Manager, Technical Unit, directed the Sensitive Case Report on the Tea...

RBPundit pointed out this press release earlier today on Twitter. It’s a March 2011 missive from the president of the National Treasury Employees’ Union, which represents, among others, IRS employees:

There was a news report that the President of the Treasury Union met with Obama at the White House on a May 31 and then next day met with IRS officials. I also remember reading that months before this, the union had won the right to inject themselves in office practices. I suppose there could be a link there to show how Obama got the word out to target the Tea Party, but I would take it further: were the five agents involved in this mess members of that union? I know not all employees belong, but were only union...

The IRS scandal is becoming more insane by the minute.  After the testimony on Friday from the Inspector General and the now “retiring” acting IRS Commissioner, Steven Miller, things couldn’t be more convoluted.  First of all, Obama came out and said that Treasury Secretary Jack Lew had “demanded the resignation” of Miller, when in fact, Miller was due to leave his post by June of this year.  So there was no “resigning” going on, and he will leave with all of his benefits intact.  Wow!  No accountability, no answers, no penalties. Next we find out that during the four year...

THE al-Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui called the US “the head of the snake” as he justified the September 11 attacks yesterday. Moussaoui lambasted US support for Israel, which he said was little more than an American colony, in testimony as part of the defence’s attempt to avoid the death penalty. “You [Americans] are the head of the snake for me. If we want to destroy the Jewish state . . . we have to destroy you first,” he said. The 37-year-old Frenchman of Moroccan origin has pleaded guilty to conspiracy in connection with the September 11, 2001, attacks. The jury...
  • "Outraged 9-11 Victims" Tied to Kerry Campaign

"Outraged 9-11 Victims" Tied to Kerry Campaign "September 11 Families Say Bush Campaign Treading on the Dead . . ." So reads the headline. It makes one think that Bush has enraged every member of every family who lost someone on September 11. It gives the idea that Bush has crossed the line and disrespected the victims of our nation's tragedy. . . . . . . then you read "the rest of the story." The article has quotes from some women like Rita Lasar, who lost her brother. Rita says, "Ground Zero is a sacred site . ....
