Enjoy a yummy unkilled burger instead... This letter-to-the-editor actually appeared in a major San Francisco newspaper... Also note mention of "Speakout"... Just like Archie Bunker used to say: "Ah, California... the land of the fruits and the nuts: where all the fruits are a little nutty... and all the nuts are a little fruity!" Unsettlingly, these people also vote: helps to explain the residual 19% still deep in the etherat Rasmussen here More at Reaganite Republican

Happier times... The National Enquirer -which first broke the Edwards/Hunter scandal in 2007- is now reporting that those close to the foolhardy egomaniac say he's lost 20lbs... is a "broken spirit" who's drinking heavily... and even entertains suicidal thoughts now that a trip to the Gray Bar Hotel seems possible- if not likely. Of particular concern is John Edward's former staffer Andrew Young, who's actually got an Edwards "sex tape" -for which Rielle Hunter is now suing- and wrote a book (published in February) regarding a cover-up that once had him claiming to be father of Edwards' and Hunter's love...

As a Christmas present I received a copy of Decision Points, abridged CD audio by Random House Audio. When I placed Disc 1 into my laptop disc drive, Windows Media Player attempts to pull the cover art from the internet. Apparently someone is trying to sell some music. Very poor taste nonetheless. Instead of viewing the book cover, I see this: A quick Google search leads me to DJ Flash's MySpace page: And to his "record label" . . .

200 Tickets Issued Thursday One week after motorists in Orange County, Fla., were ticketed by officers dressed as Santa's elves, hundreds of drivers received speeding tickets Thursday by the Grinch and other Dr. Seuss characters. The Seuss-costumed officers nabbed speeders near John Young Parkway and President's Drive Thursday. Deputies clocked cars using a radar gun and then dispatched other officers to pull over the motorists and issue the driver a ticket. The Grinch was responsible for ticketing about 200 drivers during the operation. The sheriff's Enforcing Limits and Fining or ELF operation, in which officers were dressed as elves, ticketed...

Two-thirds of U.S. college students see nothing unethical about downloading digital copyrighted files without paying, a survey found. In addition, 52 percent think downloading music without paying is acceptable behavior in the workplace, according to the survey released by Business Software Alliance. The survey reveals 45 percent of students are using campus networks for downloading activities. Downloading music is a gateway to downloading software, the survey found. Among students who say they would always download music or movies without paying for them, 27 percent said they regularly download software from a peer-to-peer network. Generation Y has largely grown up using...

From Byron York at National Review: “I plead guilty to violating the copyright laws of the United States by watching a bootleg DVD,” Rove answered with a grin. “I refuse to enrich [Moore],” he added, giving the clear impression that he had a rather low opinion of the filmmaker.Awesome.

Evidence has been found that 5th Columinst Ward Churchill copied a painting by reknown artist Thomas E. Mails Churchill's Serigraph is a mirror image of the Miles painting. Churchill made the serigraph in question in 1981 and called it "Winter Attack." He printed 150 copies and sold one of them to Duke Prentup for about $100. On Video, confronting Churchill about the obvious copyright violation by CBS4 Reporter Raj Chohan, Churchill then attacked the cameraman filming the incident. The events of September 11th, 2001, - tragically, after only two years - have become a joke. We need look no further than jolly old England for one example. In a story from the "This Is London" on-online edition from over the weekend, I read where about a sculpture featuring Mickey Mouse (that's M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E) flying a plane into the World Trade Center. Quoting the article: “Entitled 'Mickey's Taliban Adventures', the sculpture, by Alan Bennie of the Edinburgh College of Art, shows Mickey flying a toy plane into foam-like recreations of the WTC. The buildings have eyes to give them...

Hotlinking: loading an image onto a webpage from another website's server, without permission, thus stealing bandwidth and often violating copyright When you make a webpage you can specify the images that will appear on the page, either as stand-alone images, or as backgrounds. If you search the web you will find a lot of images that will be just what you want. Some of them will be copyrighted. Some will be noted as "help yourself" and for many there will be no comment made. If you see images that you are given permission to use, please understand that the permission...

He walks on, doesn't look back, he pretends he can't hear her He starts to whistle as he crosses the street, seems embarassed to be there Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you and me in paradise Oh, think twice, it's just another day for you, you and me in paradise Just think about it She calls out to the man on the street, he can see she's been crying...

I am having a back and forth with Japan Today regarding their publishing of an article which appeared in Capitol Hill Blue that has subsequently been exposed to be false.Japan Today did not get the article from Capitol Hill Blue though. They got it from Truthout.org, a leftist propaganda outfit.I wanted to see if Truthout.org even had the story up on their site. I went to their main page, Truthout.org and checked. Nothing. I noticed a search box up at the top. So I took a phrase from the original article, sought significant quantities and hit search.Bingo.Here is what the...
