These are harsh words for a Sunday morning, but the occasion screams out for them. I take them from the Bible; please forgive me. The Florida Legislature proved this past week, once and for all, that it is the utter Whore of Babylon. It is now legal in our state to pay off the Legislature directly. Who says so? The Legislature. This is not a joke. This is not satire. This is Florida — where the laws of our democracy are now openly, officially For Sale. On Thursday afternoon, with greedy lip-smacking speed, the Legislature voted to relegalize a bygone...

Obama may be in deep trouble… Chief Justice John Roberts, U.S. Supreme Court By Rebel Rouser from Texas According to sources who watch the inner workings of the federal government, a smackdown of Barack Obama by the U.S. Supreme Court may be inevitable. Ever since Obama assumed the office of President, critics have hammered him on a number of Constitutional issues. Critics have complained that much, if not all of Obama’s major initiatives run headlong into Constitutional roadblocks on the power of the federal government. Obama certainly did not help himself in the eyes of the Court when he used...

This being the case, I asked Daniels to guide me through the data mine field and help me ascertain what we know for sure about the world's best-known Social Security number – 042-68-4425. "All I can say," says Daniels of 042-68-4425, "is that it's phony and [Obama] has been using it, with it first appearing on his Selective Service document in 1980." Daniels sent me a copy of the hand-written application of the individual who held the number immediately before Obama's, 042-68-4424. The applicant, Thomas Wood, died at age 19, which is why his information is available.

The warnings were stark and issued repeatedly as far back as 1972: If the cooling systems ever failed at a “Mark 1” nuclear reactor, the primary containment vessel surrounding the reactor would probably burst as the fuel rods inside overheated. Dangerous radiation would spew into the environment.

Yesterday, ABC News’ Jonathan Karl alleged in a now-discredited report that Alaska Republican Senate candidate Joe Miller had lost the confidence of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and was thought to be a loser by the NRSC. However, the only big problem with that report of yellow journalism was that none of it was true at all. In this ever changing world of politics overshadowed by the current threat to peace by rogue states, the United Nations is failing to fulfill its duty as guardian to peace and security.Although the first known human rights decree authored by the Iranian king Cyrus the Great adorns the halls of UN, the international body continues to provide a forum to Iran's illegitimate leader Ahmadinejad where he can proliferate his distortions while his thugs in Western Asia train and supply terrorists to murder Americans and innocent civilians in the region. Unlike the Iranian culture that was based on tolerance and inclusion,...

The organization set up as the employer of 40,000 home-based day care workers, some of whom were unionized without their knowledge, was a union-driven experiment without legal or administrative precedence that had the support of the state's Executive Office, according to a batch of e-mails involving union members and the Michigan Home Based Child Care Council. One e-mail suggests that the MHBCCC's true role was to act as a shell corporation simply charged with moving money from the Department of Human Services to employee unions. The e-mails, included in a Freedom of Information request by the Mackinac Center for Public...

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, today released its 2009 list of Washington's "Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians." The list, in alphabetical order, includes: 1. Senator Christopher Dodd (D-CT): This marks two years in a row for Senator Dodd, who made the 2008 "Ten Most Corrupt" list for his corrupt relationship with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and for accepting preferential treatment and loan terms from Countrywide Financial, a scandal which still dogs him. In 2009, the scandals kept coming for the Connecticut Democrat. In 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Senate ethics complaint against...

Since the beginning of the health care debate in Congress, companies have been concerned about the eventual costs that the bill would create if passed. A couple of days ago some companies like ATT, AK Steel, John Deere and Verizon followed the laws of full disclosure and made public statements about the potential fiscal environment the “Health Care Bill” would force them to exist in. Now that the statements have been made, Henry Waxman is again using bully tactics and intimidation to stop these companies from: 1)expressing their concerns to the public and 2) following the law that requires that...

Gov. Chris Christie today said students skipping class to protest teacher layoffs were “pawns” of the teachers’ union and should not face disciplinary action. Dozens of students cut class to protest outside Bridgewater-Raritan High School this morning. In Cliffside Park, students spilled onto the sports field at 9 a.m. today to show they opposed the district’s proposal to cut 25 teachers and 20 other staff members to deal with a $1.8 million, or nearly 40 percent, cut in state aid, according to a report in The Record.

I was not at this particular location but people were AIRING their opinion of the bill in the same way. Gee... I never thought booing and telling our congress to "kill the bill" was illegal and wrong? This sounds like a plant and another way to smear the TRUE AMERICANS that want to save this country and freedom. Like i said in another the post the mood was more "get down to business" but never like they are reporting. BTW, I saw 7-8 black people in my section.... are they racists?

Woke up this morning ready to go to DC with my Dad and a few friends. Dad had a leak in his basement and could not go and his friend was out. I was ready to cancel until I turned on Fox news and saw all this junk. I surely could not simply sit around the house all day with out doing something... it's just not in my nature... sorry Socialists! Anyway, my daughter and I went. We had some nice conversations on the way down and of course were prayed up before leaving. We had some good time alone...

Forget the process. Deem, shmeem, just get it done. I assume the President also means, ignore the people themselves who both nationwide and surprisingly, in Connecticut too, reject this government takeover of healthcare and are paying attention to the process. Six in ten Americans (60%) agree that a current Democrat proposal to send the Senate health care bill to the president without voting up or down on it is “unfair.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Thursday that she was not aware of any allegations of misconduct against Rep. Eric Massa, a day after the freshman Democrat from New York announced his retirement from Congress. Massa told reporters Wednesday that he is retiring for health reasons. He has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. But House Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D) said Wednesday night that Massa was also facing an ethics investigation over allegations of misconduct. Hoyer did not detail the allegations of misconduct but said his office became aware of them nearly a month ago. Pelosi (D) said that she had not...

WASHINGTON — Democratic leaders from Congress to the White House vowed Friday to resurrect their long-stalled health care legislation, with or without Republican suggestions or votes. "We know what happens if we do nothing: more and more people pay more," White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said. "The president believes we still have to act." Nearly a year after President Barack Obama set the overhaul effort in motion, Gibbs said the president would make an announcement, probably on Wednesday, about "where he sees a path moving forward." Gibbs said the next few days would be a "fairly dynamic process" as...
