Milton is a small New Hampshire town that knows how to safeguard its secrets -- namely by losing the combination to one very large safe. No one's quite sure when the safe was last opened, but the town's administrator and selectmen were determined to end the mystery of its contents. So they hired a safecracker, Seacoast Lock and Safe owner Paul Letourneau. Letourneau says it took him three hours Thursday to drill through and reset the combination of the safe. "On a scale of 1-10, it was probably a seven," Letourneau said. The safe was immediately closed and relocked so...

President Obama, I oppose your appointment of Michael Taylor, a former VP and Lobbyist for Monsanto, the widely criticized Genetically Modified (GM) food multinational, as Senior Advisor to the Commissioner at the FDA. Taylor is the same person who was Food Safety Czar at the FDA when Genetically Modified Organisms were allowed into the US food supply without undergoing a single test to determine their safety or risks. This is a travesty. Taylor was in charge of policy for Monsanto's now-discredited GM Bovine Growth Hormone (rBGH) which is directly linked to cancer and opposed by many medical and hospital organizations.

Linky Here From another website: "I'm going to get downvoted for this, but if you do the math its... not as ludicrous as they make it seem. The guy worked 40 hours and was expecting $334 (I'm assuming after taxes). This comes out to $8.35 an hour... while its definitely not awesome pay, its still above minimum wage. He received $130 after subtracting living costs, this means the company charges $204/week for housing, which comes out to $816/month. If this includes utilities and such, its actually a decent rate for a one BR apartment. The "conditions" these students face...

Actual Title: The Parallax Corporation to Release First Officially Licensed High-Energy Plankton Food, Soylent Green San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 23, 2011 The all-natural green crackers, which contain real high-energy plankton, are made in the U.S. at a small-batch gourmet food manufacturing plant. "We worked to create a collectible box that looks just the way Soylent Green would have been packaged," says Parallax President David Garth, "and the box design recreates the utopian propaganda of an evil mega-corporation with the feelings of despair and hunger depicted in the movie." Soylent Green, which was released in 1973 to critical acclaim, was...

ZULU SHABAZZ THREATENS TEA PARTY WITH ARMED VIOLENCE Our cranky pal Malik Zulu Shabazz, chairman of the New Black Panther Party, is up to his antics again. On Planet Zulu, Black Americans are the real victims of the Holocaust. Call the Rat crazy, (He’s been called worse) but Shabazz’s politics of victimization and division are little more than Liberal Class Warfare on steroids. Are the Jews God’s chosen people? Of course not, its America’s Blacks, wise up folks. The Chairman isn’t too happy with the Jews for “perpetrating the fraud” of the Holocaust or the whole “chosen people” thing either....

The loose hacker collective Anonymous says it has taken revenge on a US security company whose principal claimed to have penetrated the group and identified some of its key people. They hacked the Twitter account of Aaron Barr, the chief executive of HBGary, and sent out a series of angry tweets while many Americans were watching the Super Bowl match on Sunday night, allegedly including Barr's social security number and address, and his mobile phone number.

So much for that new tone of civility. On Friday’s “Hardball,” MSNBC host Chris Matthews acknowledged his disappointment in the tack Republicans have taken toward President Barack Obama – especially in this time following the tragic shooting in Arizona. “Yeah, it’s almost like what he does is no good – let’s kill it because it’s his,” Matthews said. After citing a spokesman from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s office, Matthews asked the Huffington Post’s Sam Stein if Republicans would play nice with Obama, or would they go ad hominem. However, in phrasing the question, he used what some believe is...

Is this offensive? I ask that in all earnestness because, after this week, I don’t know what the rules are for political speech anymore. I thought “cracker” was a mild slur for whites, but then I also thought that joking about hanging Joe Lieberman in effigy must be over the line as an impermissible violent metaphor — and evidently I was waaay wrong about that. So, I guess this is cool now. Life brings us new lessons every day, my friends. Two clips for you here, one of Matthews on “crackers” and the other, via the Daily Caller, of Pat...

I was in Las Vegas over the weekend, and I joked with my friend Jim Hoft, St. Louis’ Gateway Pundit, calling him a “Cracka” during an interview. Jim gave a surprised laugh, evident my comment gave him no discomfort. Nevertheless, the blatant use of the term Cracker these days got me to thinking about Crackers in general. So I decided to perform a quick investigation. In my investigation, I was surprised at all I had not known about Crackers.

ATLANTA — A black federal worker has resigned from a Georgia agricultural job after a video clip showed her saying she had not helped a farmer as much as she could have because he was white. U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said in a statement Tuesday he had accepted the resignation of Shirley Sherrod. Vilsack says the USDA has no tolerance for discrimination. National NAACP President Benjamin Todd Jealous welcomed the resignation because the group opposes racism of all kinds.

Internet troublemakers, known as griefers, conducted an organized hack attack against an epilepsy support message board last weekend. The attack, designed to inflict bodily injury, is the first known example of a large scale hack designed to inflict physical damage on the victims. The attackers used injected JavaScript to trigger flashing images on the computers of their victims, causing them severe migraines and seizures. The site is run and maintained by a nonprofit organization, the Epilepsy Foundation. Its goal is to provide a place where epileptics and family members can provide each other with support. The group had to close...

Any response to this paper's Friday editorial on my foreign policy position must rest on two fundamental assertions: first, that the Founding Fathers were not isolationists; and second, that their political philosophy -- the wisdom of the Constitution, the Declaration, and our Revolution itself -- is not just a primitive cultural relic. If I understand the editors' concerns, I have not been accused of deviating from the Founders' logic; if anything I have been accused of adhering to it too strictly. The question, therefore, before readers -- and soon voters -- is the same question I have asked for almost...

California Highway Patrol officials have opened a criminal investigation into "multiple" breaches and illegal downloads by outside hackers into the computers of Gov. Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata was more than blunt in a press conference Thursday to talk about lawmaker's end of session three-week sprint that starts on Monday -- at one point refering to "crackers" in San Diego. While enjoying the Christmas season in the comfort of your home, take a minute to say a prayer for the wrongfully convicted. American prisons are full of wrongfully convicted persons. Many were coerced into admitting to crimes they did not commit by prosecutors’ threats to pile on more charges. Others were convicted by false testimony from criminals bribed by prosecutors, who exchanged dropped charges or reduced sentences for false testimony against defendants. Not all the wrongfully convicted are poor. Some are wealthy and prominent people targeted by corrupt prosecutors seeking a celebrity case in order to boost their careers. Until...

Free trade has necessary conditions. Today these conditions are not met. This point has escaped Joe Salerno and George Reisman (both writing on Mises.org), as it has a vast number of other people. The case for free trade is based on David Ricardo’s principle of comparative advantage. Ricardo addressed the question how trade could take place between country A and country B (England and Portugal in his example) if country B was more efficient in the production of tradable goods (cloth and wine in his example) than A. In other words, if Portugal could produce both cloth and wine at lower cost than...

Howard Dean and Yankee Democrats don't have a clue what it means to be a Southerner. It's not about Confederate flags. It's about honor, family, self reliance and American patriotism. Who are these Confederate voters that Vermonter Howard Dean wants to represent? Is Jefferson Davis on the ballot again? I thought he was dead, along with the Confederate States of America. Hey, I’m a Southerner, why didn’t I get the memo? Duh, Dean was just being "hisself", a Yankee liberal, describing voters as he sees people – divided by race, class and gender. What a hoot. Liberals imagine identity politics...

A sophisticated computer hacker had access to servers at wireless giant T-Mobile for at least a year, which he used to monitor U.S. Secret Service e-mail, obtain customers' passwords and Social Security numbers, and download candid photos taken by Sidekick users, including Hollywood celebrities, SecurityFocus has learned. Twenty-one year-old Nicolas Jacobsen was quietly charged with the intrusions last October, after a Secret Service informant helped investigators link him to sensitive agency documents that were circulating in underground IRC chat rooms. The informant also produced evidence that Jacobsen was behind an offer to provide T-Mobile customers' personal information to identity thieves...

Mens News Daily editor-publisher Mike LaSalle has not responded to queries as to the duration or source of the attack, or when the site might return to service.

Putin: Ally or Terrorist? by William F. Memo From: Chairperson, Ideological Purity Task Force, Democratic National Committee To: Democratic presidential candidates Re: Confederate flags and other matters Folks, I'm afraid it's time to remind you of the old maxim that Republicans look for converts, and Democrats look for heretics. I know Howard Dean has learned the most important thing about this broad, diverse, tolerant, multicultural party of ours: If you're not like us, we don't want you. The South's unconditional surrender in 1865 apparently was unacceptable to today's Neo-Confederates. They'd like to rewrite history, demonizing Abraham Lincoln and the federal government that forced them to remain in the awful United States against their will. On top of that, now they are opposing the U.S. Navy's plan to bury the crew of the CSS H.L. Hunley under the American flag next year. The Hunley was the first submarine to sink an enemy vessel. In 1863, it rammed and fatally damaged the Union warship USS Housatonic with a fixed torpedo, but then the manually driven sub sank on its...
