The Affordable Care Act is "intentionally designed to screw over young people" who are being forced to pay higher premiums, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus says. "It wasn't a mistake. This thing was not an accident," Priebus told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV on Thursday. "Obamacare was intentionally designed to screw over young people so that young people pay for everyone else's stuff.

Gov. Chris Christie’s “bizarre behavior’’ in refusing to say he’ll support a possible GOP challenger to Gov. Cuomo next year could derail his chances to become president, state and national GOP insiders have told The Post.

In September 2009, John Dodson, an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, was assigned to the ATF’s Phoenix office. What he found there shocked him. The bureau was encouraging gun dealers to sell weapons in bulk to known straw buyers, who would funnel those guns to Mexican drug cartels. Known as Operation Fast and Furious, it ended with the death of at least one American law enforcement officer. Dodson became a congressional whistleblower, and the investigation into the operation is ongoing. In this exclusive excerpt from his new book, “The Unarmed Truth,” Dodson explains how tragically inept Fast and Furious was.

The Obamacare website (Healthcare.gov) was taken down for maintenance in order to meet the government’s promised deadline of having it running properly. It’s back up and running now. Sort of. And apparently, it still sucks. Despite the victorious announcement by the Washington Post that the site is fixed and the deadline of November 30th has been met, we are officially calling “BS” on that announcement. Among the failures, as enumerated on Breitbart.com: ■It can only handle 50,000 users at a time ■It loads incredibly slowly ■Small businesses still cannot sign up online (and won’t be able to until the...
  • Scarborough: Obamacare Site Like A Hollywood Western Set—Nothing Behind the Facade

Potemkin Village, anyone? Joe Scarborough has offered a scathing simile for the new-'n-improved Obamacare website. On today's Morning Joe, he likened the site to the set of a Hollywood Western--pushing back the facade reveals that there's nothing behind it. Even former Obama spox Robert Gibbs—proudly sporting an Auburn jersey—acknowledged that big chunks of the system, including the payment mechanism for subsidies, haven't even been built yet. So people can go to the site, receive the illusion that they have obtained coverage, only to find that there is no follow-through. View the video here.

As we experience more of the unpleasant realities of the Affordable Care Act, Americans are questioning, finally, the forthrightness and honesty of their president in his selling of this law. As millions of individual health insurance policies are cancelled, it is transparent that the president distorted the truth when he told Americans, “ if you like your plan you can keep it.” But misrepresentation goes beyond how a particular feature of the law was sold. It also applies to the selling of what this whole law was supposed to be about. In a recent appearance at a synagogue in Dallas,...
  • Obamacare website ‘fixed,’ but label of failure sticks; more bumps expected, lawmakers are wary

Skeptical Republicans and hopeful Democrats alike brushed aside the glowing report card on repairs to HealthCare.gov issued by the Obama administration Sunday, with lawmakers on both sides acknowledging the president’s team has tougher work ahead. The Department of Health and Human Services said Sunday that it met the Dec. 1 deadline imposed by President Obama to fix major glitches plaguing HealthCare.gov. since the website’s nationwide debut two months ago. ... But lawmakers — even Democrats — were wary. “Clearly, the rollout has been a disaster, and it’s still a work in progress,” former Sen. Evan Bayh, Indiana Democrat, said on...
