Now we got trouble.I am in receipt of a copy of a bulletin from Old Republic Title in which it states: The Company will not insure title to any property which has been foreclosed by Ally Financial, Ally Bank or GMAC until further notice. Oops.I suspect this is going to spread fast, given that this "wee problem" is NOT specific to GMAC and Ally. In fact, JP Morgan/Chase has reported "similar discrepancies", and then today we had my report on a ruling from a court in which a counterfeit summons was issued not by the court, but by a...

Newly uncovered internal memos reveal the Obama administration knowingly exaggerated charges of racial discrimination in probes of Ally Bank and other defendants in the $900 billion car-lending business as part of a “racial justice” campaign that’s looking more like a massive government extortion and shakedown operation Obama’s Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has reached more than $220 million in settlements with several auto lenders since the agency launched its anti-discrimination crusade against the industry in 2013. Several other banks are under active investigation. That’s despite the fact that the CFPB had no actual complaints of racial discrimination — it was all...

The New York Post had something of an overlooked bombshell report this weekend regarding a settlement reached between the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Ally Bank last year. This is a strange story and if it proves true it could seriously affect the reputation and position of the CFPB. The case in question was a very expensive settlement reached between the Bureau and Ally over charges that they engaged in a pattern of racial discrimination in their automotive loan lending practices, denying applications or charging higher fees to minority applicants. But according to some new documentation revealed by the...

Some of the skirmishes over Mrs. Clinton's emails reflect the disagreements in a post-9/11 era over what should be a government secret and what should not. Nonetheless, 22 emails on Mrs. Clinton's server were held back from a tranche made public last week. Those 22 emails were deemed so highly secret that State Department officials in this case agreed with the intelligence agencies not to release them even in redacted form.

Environmentalists and public employee unions say a lack of money was behind Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) poor response to lead contamination in the Flint, Mich. water supply. "What most people don't understand is that nearly half of EPA's budget goes to states, tribal authorities, and municipalities, and of the remaining half, almost half of that goes to contractors," John O'Grady, president of the American Federation of Government Employees chapter representing EPA employees involved in Flint, told The Washington Post Thursday. From the start, since we first learned about the home-brew email system then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton set up for conducting her government business, I've argued that she very likely committed felony violations of federal law. Yet it appears I underestimated the gravity of her misconduct -- ironically, by giving her the benefit of the doubt on a significant aspect of the scheme. When the scandal went public in March 2015, Mrs. Clinton -- already the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee -- held a press conference to explain herself. Among other well-documented whoppers, she maintained that she had never stored classified...

Live by Bubba, die by Bubba. Something has shifted when it comes to the treatment and perception of the Clintons, and it threatens their joint political ambitions like nothing before it. For nearly a quarter of a century, the Clintons have been politically bulletproof. No charge, regardless of how salacious, illegal and true, seemed to stick. Has the State Department released a smoking gun in the Hillary Clinton e-mail scandal? In a thread from June 2011, Hillary exchanges e-mails with Jake Sullivan, then her deputy chief of staff and now her campaign foreign-policy adviser, in which she impatiently waits for a set of talking points. When Sullivan tells her that the source is having trouble with the secure fax, Hillary then orders Sullivan to have the data stripped of its markings and sent through a non-secure channel. That should be game, set, and match, yes?

The Obama administration pursued a policy in Libya back in 2011 that ultimately allowed guns to walk into the hands of jihadists linked to the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) and al-Qaeda (AQ) in Syria, according to a former CIA officer who co-authored a report on behalf of the Citizen’s Commission on Benghazi (CCB), detailing the gun running scheme. s The enthusiasm gap among voters is the deciding factor in elections; it tells us the true story. In years when Republicans won big they controlled the enthusiasm gap: 1994 it was 44/33; 2002 it was 46/39; in 2010 it was a massive 63/44 and in 2014 it was 42/32. When Democrats won in 2006 they held a 52/41 edge in enthusiasm among their voters. So far Hillary Clinton’s campaign is not generating enthusiasm. A recent New York Times piece presents a serious warning for Clinton. It’s not based on a “feeling” but on surveys of her supporters. Among voters...

James Comey not Bernie Sanders -- is the biggest challenge to Hillary Clintons presidential ambitions, a prospect that should keep the former Secretary of State up at night. The fiercely independent head of the FBI is directing the investigation into Clintons use of a personal email server and attendant issues raised during the Benghazi inquiry, which could lead to indictments of the former Secretary of State or her various aides. If the probe determines that Hillary or her aides mishandled classified information or obstructed justice, her campaign will likely collapse. (Hence, the rumored possibility that Joe Biden could still...

A Mexican immigrant married to an American citizen hasnt seen his wife in a year all because his tattoos made him look like a criminal, his family says. Ruben Zamora, 29, has lived in the U.S. since he was 8 years old and when he left the country in July 2014, he expected to be able to return to his wife and two children within weeks, his lawyers said. Instead, his request to return from Mexico was denied, because officials at the American Consulate said he has gang tattoos and, therefore, was part of a criminal enterprise....

A teenaged girl who reportedly went missing on her way to church was found slain near her crashed minivan in a Dallas creek, officials said. The body of Zoe Hastings, 18, was discovered Monday by police responding to calls about a vehicle in the creek near East Lake Highlands Drive and Easton Road. She had died from "obvious homicidal violence," Deputy Chief Rob Sherwin said during a press conference.

We all know that there are many female voters who may care about only one thing ---- they want the next president to not have been born a male. I suspect that we can understand how young women in college, brainwashed by their professors or profesorettes after 12 years of previous indoctrination, are enamored with the idea of Hillary. A woman President. Finally! But there are also men who support Hillary. Who are these men? What kind of men support her? You will have your own list, but here is one I quickly created. 1. Bill Clinton. He has to...

WASHINGTON -- Hillary Rodham Clinton's private email server, which stored some 55,000 pages of emails from her time as secretary of state, was the subject of attempted cyberattacks originating in China, South Korea and Germany after she left office in early 2013, according to a congressional document obtained by The Associated Press. While the attempts were apparently blocked by a "threat monitoring" product that Clinton's employees connected to her network in October 2013, there was a period of more than three months from June to October 2013 when that protection had not been installed, according to a letter from Sen....

Hillary Rodham Clinton has undertaken another mission with her presidential campaign: to rehabilitate the battered image of longtime aide and confidante Huma Abedin. The steps Mrs. Clinton has taken to raise the profile of Ms. Abedin in the campaign include using her prominently in a fundraising email and deploying her to Twitter for the first time. The email featuring Ms. Abedin was released with the subject line, I believe in Hillary do you? It was the first time that Ms. Abedin, who serves as vice chairwoman of Hillary for America but remains mostly behind the scenes, stepped out to...

Since there has been much evasion and obfuscation about Hillary Rodham Clintons e-mail use, it seems appropriate to step back and simply review what we know in light of the law. Its also instructive to compare Clintons situation to arguably the most famous case of our time related to the improper handling of classified materials, namely, the case of Gen. David Petraeus. Instead of turning his journals so-called black books over to the Defense Department or CIA when he left either of those organizations, Petraeus kept them at his home an unsecure location and provided them...
