Former President Donald Trump gained ten points of support among Republicans since his arrest on Tuesday, expanding his lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), according to a hypothetical Republican primary poll. The Ispos/Reuters poll conducted after Trump’s arrest in Manhattan for a case many conservatives have dubbed “politically motivated” finds that 58 percent of registered Republicans want him as their nominee. DeSantis, who has not announced a candidacy for the race, secures second place with 21 percent of support. No other candidate eclipsed five percent of support.Another Ispos/Reuters poll taken ahead of the arrest but after the indictment had Trump at...

Bitcoin miners had a rough 2022, showing “how to not build a mining business,” However, industry experts don’t see 2023 as any better, unless markets improve significantly. high energy prices, increasing competition for Bitcoin blocks and a bear market hit miners, knocking out those with high leverage. The sector was shaken by bankruptcies and loan defaults, and next year will likely bring even more pain. lots of money was spent over the last year to boost hashrate ... but those investments didn’t pay off, as companies loaded up on debt to finance the growth only to see the economics of...

Charlie Dent, a former Republican congressman for Pennsylvania, said he was 'astounded' and 'stunned' by Fetterman's poor performance, while Alyssa Farah Griffin, Donald Trump's former communications director, said she found it 'painful to watch'. Liberal commentators raise concerns about Senate hopeful's 'confused' post-stroke debate performance against Dr. Oz John Fetterman and Mehmet Oz on Tuesday night held their one and only debate in their race for Pennsylvania Senate Fetterman, 53, had a stroke on May 13 and referenced his condition immediately on Tuesday, calling it 'the elephant in the room' While some praised Fetterman for his bravery in participating in...

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” The Recount Executive Editor, Showtime host, and NBC Analyst John Heilemann said that “Democrats have been in denial” about inflation and that if they don’t solve the issue or get better messaging, “they’re going to get crushed in these midterms, almost exclusively on this issue.” Heilemann stated, “Democrats have been in denial about this…people do not remember in this country what it was like to have runaway inflation and have inflation that destroyed — was one of the main reasons that destroyed Jimmy Carter’s presidency. If you look around the world over the...

New video from the Capitol tunnel raises the appalling—but still believable—possibility that the Capitol Police may have killed another woman. After January 6, although the media initially reported that MAGA protesters had trampled Rosanne Boyland to death but, the D.C. coroner attributed it to a drug overdose. Now, though, footage has emerged showing a Capitol Police Officer brutally beating a woman in the Capitol tunnel—a woman who may have been Rosanne Boyland. Julie Kelly has written about a motion for the release of a January 6 prisoner, Ryan Nichols. Nichols, a former Marine with a career as a volunteer search-and-rescuer,...

A psalm. 1 Hear this, all you peoples; listen, all who live in this world, 2 both low and high, rich and poor alike: 3 My mouth will speak words of wisdom; the meditation of my heart will give you understanding. 4 I will turn my ear to a proverb; with the harp I will expound my riddle: 5 Why should I fear when evil days come, when wicked deceivers surround me— 6 those who trust in their wealth and boast...

One of President Joe Biden's first moves in office was to sign a number of executive orders, including one to cancel the Keystone XL Pipeline, which would bring oil from Canada into the Great Planes. With the stroke of a pen, Biden's executive order effectively killed 11,00 construction jobs. The small town of Dorchester, Nebraska, which has 600 residents, immediately felt the impact of Biden's "climate change" initiative. The town was once bustling with construction equipment and piping. That came to a screeching halt. And now, fields of pipe lay untouched. "We had pipeline crews here. During the COVID, it...

A man has been crushed to death after a giant crucifix dedicated to Pope John Paul II collapsed, just days before a historic Papal canonisation in Rome. The 30-metre-high (98ft) wooden and concrete cross fell during a ceremony in the Italian Alpine village of Cevo, near Brescia. Another man was taken to hospital. The structure was dedicated to John Paul II on his visit to the region in 1998. In a strange co-incidence, the 21-year-old man named as Marco Gusmini by local media, was reported to live in a street named after Pope John XXIII – who will also be...

Young US households — those aged 35-to-44 — lost a stunning 59 percent of their wealth during the recession, a government report released yesterday revealed. That’s the stiffest hit of any age group, said the report from the US Census Bureau. The age group — typically struggling with mortgages, tuition bills and rising tax bills — makes up the backbone of America’s middle class. The losses were mainly due to the drop in the value of their homes during the 2005 through 2010 period, the report said

A teenage girl has been left broken-hearted after her car was crushed by a man in a huge camouflaged truck. Norman Nowling, 40, from Fort Myers in Florida was arrested on Saturday after witnesses claimed he had deliberately driven over the 1994 Toyota Corolla several times. The incident occurred at the Redneck Yacht Club during the annual 'Swamp Cabbage Weekend', which sees 4,000 revellers in monster trucks and pickups speed around an 800-acre mud park for fun. The young woman had heard that a car had been crushed while she was at a mus pit with friends, and alerted security...

PALM SPRINGS — A man died Tuesday after he was crushed by a tortilla oven behind an out-of-business supermarket. The man was part of a three-person crew attempting to load the 3,000-pound commercial oven onto a truck when it fell off a manual forklift, said Palm Springs Lt. Sal Abruscato. "We do not suspect any foul play at all," Abruscato said. "This is a horrible accident." The oven was one of many items auctioned off at the supermarket Monday, he said. The person who bought it hired the crew to deliver it.

A Southern California woman has died after apparently trying to stop a tow truck driver from repossessing her vehicle. San Bernardino County sheriff’s spokeswoman Jodi Miller says 42-year-old Lisa Via was pronounced dead early Tuesday after being struck.

Driver Leo Song told detectives he backed up his truck to a 2002 Buick parked in the driveway of Via’s mobile home in Chino Hills. As Song lifted the car, Via came out and begged Song not to take her car. He told her he had to take it. He said he assumed Via had moved away when he began to pull the car, but the woman’s husband approached him and said his wife was trapped under the Buick. Miller says her death appears to be a tragic accident.
