Leased a 2012 NIssan Leaf actually. After the state rebate it was zero down and $171 total per month (for 39 months).I feel like a hypocrite taking the rebate but the money is already allocated. Why should liberals get all the money ? The car is comfortable and fun to drive. The range fits my commute. I'm really into technology. My question is this. I don't want people to think I'm an environmentalist wacko. What would be a good bumper sticker to make a statement without getting my car keyed by some lib?

So, if the IMs end up being a prank to mess with a gay man by another legal adult, wouldn't this be sexual-orientation modivated harrasment? Hasn't Mr. Foley's civil rights been violated? Will the ACLU step up in defense on Mr. Foley? This targeted arrasement has caused him the loss of his career and public humiliation and riducule. Will the Rebpublications act this time?
  • Report: Orange County gunman was social outcast, even on the Internet

LOS ANGELES - The Orange County man who killed two neighbors and then turned a shotgun on himself desperately sought friends on the Internet but was ridiculed for his sometimes angry and bizarre messages. William Freund, 19, had no more success finding companionship online than he had in high school, where his poor social skills made him the butt of cruelty. In the wake of last week's rampage, Tiffany Key, Freund's former high school classmate, wondered via the Internet: "Think about your interactions with him. Were they positive? Or were you one of those kids that made his life hell?...

I wonder if the rules on this forum are applied equally? Several weeks ago I was denied posting privileges because I jokingly advocated a "plan b" in fighting the so far failed war on illegal immigration. My "plan b" was to have border guards retreat to within 200 yards of the border and while fitted with night vision goggles simply drop any illegals attempting to gain access to America. Now frankly I am not concerned with the fact I was denied posting privileges for a day(reason given was "advocating violence")but I wonder if the folks who post pictures of exploding...

I have three vices. Three main ones, anyway. I drink, I smoke, and I still suck my thumb (at age 56). The drinking is my "presenting problem". That is the one most people who know me would refer to, and that is the one that I am currently trying to fix. The funny thing -- which is not the least bit funny -- is that I can quit drinking anytime I want. I don't like AA meetings, rehab programs, or things like that. I can just stop cold turkey. What I can't do is to sleep once I have stopped....

Man Accused of Putting Nude Photos on Car VILLA RICA, Ga. - Authorities in Carroll County have arrested a Villa Rica man in connection with nude photos left on car windshields. Villa Rica police arrested Kenneth James Stokes, 47, after a woman called police. Investigators used surveillance tape from a Wal-Mart to see the suspect putting the pictures on at least two cars in the parking lot, police Capt. Brian Camp said. The Polaroid pictures show the suspect nude from the waist down, authorities said. Police were able to identify Stokes because the surveillance tapes also showed him going into...

It's been almost 20 years since the last time I heard Jeff Christie on a Pittsburgh Top 40 radio station. He was one of KQV-AM's "Top Pop 5," which is how the station referred to its first-string disc jockeys. At the time, KQV was losing ratings to competitor 13Q, so KQV brought in a new program director named Joey Reynolds. Commercial radio stations, then as now, were tightly formatted. In a bid to shake things up, Reynolds tossed the format notebook into the Dumpster. The DJs responded in a number of ways to their new-found freedom. They began spinning a...

WASHINGTON — Don't feel bad if you have the uneasy feeling that you're being steamrolled. You are not alone. As my girlfriend Dana said: "Bush is like the guy who reserves a hotel room and then asks you to the prom."As the Pentagon moves troops, carriers, covert agents and B-2 bombers into the Persian Gulf, the president, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld continue their pantomime of consultation. When Senator Mark Dayton of Minnesota asked the defense chief on Thursday, "What is compelling us to now make a precipitous decision and take precipitous actions?" an exasperated Mr. Rumsfeld sputtered: "What's different? What's...
