A pregnant Florida woman was arrested for domestic battery after pelting her brother with frosted cupcakes during a 1:45 AM argument Saturday in the family’s Vero Beach residence, police report. According to cops, Latonya Daugherty, 24, was quarreling with her 30-year-old sibling when the “verbal argument escalated.” Daugherty (seen above) allegedly “picked up frosted cup cakes and threw them at” Edddie Yaddow. The cupcakes, an arrest affidavit notes, struck Yaddow in the arm and chest.

The wines named in the lawsuit are primarily inexpensive white or blush varietals including moscato, pinot grigio and sauvignon blanc. Many popular, inexpensive brands of wine made and distributed in California, including Trader Joe's famed "Two Buck Chuck," contain illegal and dangerously high levels of poisonous inorganic arsenic, according to a lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles. Plaintiffs Doris Charles, Alvin Jones, Jason Peltier and Jennifer Peltier allege in their complaint that dozens of wineries are violating state law by knowingly producing, marketing and selling arsenic contaminated wine and failing to warn consumers about the potential danger. The suit, filed in...

In a lengthy and slobberingly wide ranging interview the faux-intellectuals at have succeeded at giving President Obama yet another opportunity to explain why nothing is ever his fault and is usually the fault of people who disagree with or oppose him. Ezra Klein, chief minister of propaganda from Vox was happy to sit down and discuss several popular liberal bugaboos with the President. We'll share just a few snippets of their incredibly close-minded and one-sided interview. On Why Income Inequality has Gotten Worse under ObamaWell, this has been at least a three-decade-long trend. And this was a major topic...

This time eight years ago, Barack Obama and his staff were in the final stages of preparing to launch a presidential campaign. So was pretty much everyone else. The midterms were done, the opposition party had ridden a wave to a wipe-out. The political world was already looking past President George W. Bush. Obama was leading the charge. On Friday, Obama stood at the podium at the White House and dared anyone to try the same with him. “Interesting stuff happens in the fourth quarter. And I’m looking forward to it,” Obama said, at the outset of the 2014 wrap-up...

( – In an interview Wednesday with a local Washington, D.C., affiliate, Secretary of State John Kerry said he doesn’t know anyone who wants the U.S. to go to war with Russia over Crimea, an autonomous republic in the southern region of Ukraine before Russia’s military intervention. “I don’t know anybody in America who has suggested to go to war over Crimea. Do you want to go to war over Crimea? I don’t know anybody who says you ought to go to war over Crimea, so therefore, your options are economic and diplomatic and isolation,” Kerry said. As previously...

The leaders of the Group of Eight have suspended Russia's participation in the body over Moscow's activities in Ukraine, the French foreign minister said Tuesday. In an interview with Europe-1 radio, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said that "it is envisaged that all the other countries, the seven leading countries, will unite without Russia," The Associated Press reported. The government has pulled the plug on an 11-year-old Illinois baker’s oven. A day after a local newspaper ran a story about the young and ambitious Chloe Stirling, who operated a cupcake business out of her parents’ kitchen, the local health department came calling. “They called and said they were shutting us down,” Heather Stirling, Chloe’s mother, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Officials told Stirling Chloe could continue selling cupcakes on the condition that the family “buy a bakery or build her a kitchen separate from the one we have.” “Obviously, we can’t do that,” Heather Stirling told reporters. “We’ve...

This cupcake costs $750. Repeat: this cupcake costs $750. Maybe you shouldn't get one for everyone in the third-grade class. Meet the $750 Decadence D'Or cupcake at Sweet Surrender inside the Palazzo. It's encased in a hand-blown sugar fleur-de-lis and crafted using chocolates that get more special attention during production than Rip Torn when the movie's shot in a whiskey bar. It's arguably better than the Hostess version. Here's how it breaks down: • The Cake: Made from Palmira Single Estate chocolate, which was developed by Valrhona, a French chocolatier who planted a series of Criollo bean trees to create...

The new Sprinkles Cupcake ATM in Beverly Hills has been hyped up for a few weeks now. More details in Average Betty’s video post here. But would the crazy-cool idea for an ATM that dispences freshly baked cupcakes actually be successful? Would the cupcakes be tasty and moist? How many flavors would there be to choose from? Well after my visit to the ATM this weekend to pick up a few vegan red velvet cupcakes with my husband – I can give you my review of the experience.. My First Cupcake-Run at the 24-hour ATM. The Transportation Security Administration defended the decision of one of its workers to confiscate a passenger's cupcake Monday, saying the pastry that was taken was not a normal piece of dessert. During the Christmas travel season, when between 1.6 million and 2.3 million people were estimated to have taken a trip by airplane, TSA was heavily criticized for reportedly not allowing a passenger to carry a cupcake through security at Las Vegas's McCarran International Airport. On Monday, the agency said the cupcake in question was in a jar,

Allen West's opposition to Barack Obama's "draft executive order" continued in his Weekly Wrapup, in which he wrote this: However, an issue surfaced which could undermine the very fabric of who we are in this constitutional republic. This week a "draft" Executive Order was leaked that would force any entity competing for a federal government contract to disclose political and third party political organization contributions as part of the "Request for Proposal (RFP)" submission process. I was fortunate to be a part of a joint hearing between the Small Business and Oversight and Government Reform Committees on this issue. Under...

This week, I held a bake sale -- a racist bake sale. I stood in midtown Manhattan shouting, "Cupcakes for sale." My price list read: Asians -- $1.50 Whites -- $1.00 Blacks/Latinos -- 50 cents People stared. One yelled, "What is funny to you about people who are less privileged?" A black woman said, angrily, "It's very offensive, very demeaning!" One black man accused me of poisoning the cupcakes. I understand why people got angry. What I did was hurtful to some. My bake sale mimicked what some conservative college students did at Bucknell University. The students wanted to satirize...

NEW YORK, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- I haven't been able to find a strict academic etymology for the word "hon," which obviously derives from "honey," which in my home state of Texas derives in turn from "honeychild," but I would place it in the linguistic group, which should henceforth be known as Saccharinity Personal Pronouns. This has become a matter of some urgency, ever since Maryland State Trooper Kelly Austin allegedly went into a rage during a routine traffic stop when a civilian addressed her as "hon." The offending endearment resulted in the arrest of Frank J. Iula Jr., a computer...
