Sittin here waitin for the race to start, (doesn't look good) and started thinking about all the different actors who played 007. Question, who, in your opinion, played the best Bond and what was his best movie?

Federal prosecutors have ended a criminal investigation of Countrywide Financial Corp. co-founder Angelo Mozilo, a person close to the investigation said Friday. The federal official told The Associated Press that the probe launched in 2008 into the actions of the former chief executive of the housing giant during the mortgage meltdown has been closed with no indictments. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation was never publicly announced, and the Department of Justice as a policy does not announce the closing of investigations. In October, Mozilo agreed to a $67.5 million settlement to avoid civil trial...

By some tortured, objective filmmaking standard it might be possible to make the case that Quantum of Solace isn’t the worst James Bond film of all time, but I defy anyone to argue that it isn’t the least satisfying. After all, a bad James Bond film is still a James Bond film. There is that going for it. Invisible cars and Grace Jones have done no small amount of damage but in the smoking, campy wreckage there still lies a James Bond film. Unfortunately, in the smoking, plodding wreckage of Quantum of Solace that scrap of comfort is nowhere to...

It is pretty easy nowadays to write a review of a Pixar movie. Simply write, 'Great!', and end it there...and you would pretty much hit the nail on the head. The original Toy Story movies were the coming out party for Pixar 15 years ago. They introduced America to a new kind of animation...one that once again drew adults and children. And this movie, as much as any, taps into that.

James Groce said he and many others across American believe government is spending too much, taxing too much and borrowing too much. “We expect our government to show fiscal responsibility. A lot of our politicians aren’t doing the job we elect them to do,” Groce said. Many of those people, including Groce, have come together in Tea Party organizations to speak out against big government. “We have groups started in Dade County, Walker County, Catoosa County, Gordon County and Gilmer County. We are trying to get them started in all the 9th Congressional District counties. We lack Whitfield and Murray,...

MAGNA -- Accusations of sex abuse and assassination threats are swirling around a small religious group led by a man who claims to be the Holy Ghost. He calls the charges a pack of lies, but they prompted a raid by the Secret Service, the FBI, and child protection investigators. Six weeks ago, officers surrounded and searched the Church of the Firstborn and the General Assembly of Heaven's headquarters in Magna, interrogating members for hours. According to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, they found nothing. If the charges are lies, they reveal a most unusual church, torn apart by...

With all the California-centric beauty-queen action happening these days, it's been easy to forget that one young lovely was actually named Miss USA a couple weeks ago. But Kristen Dalton doesn't mind. The winner of the 2009 Miss USA Pageant told E! News that she thinks the Carrie Prejean hullabaloo has been good for the cause. "I really think that it's great for the Miss Universe Organization, because it's given us a lot of publicity," Dalton told E!'s Daily 10. "And there's gonna be a lot of people watching this Miss USA pageant next year." And as for Miss California,...

Proving that he’s just as adept at stuffing an election candidate’s coffers as he is at stuffing his own socks, Sandy Berger hosted an "almost secret" Washington fund-raiser for a recently retired three-star vice admiral last night. Vice Adm. Joseph Sestak Jr, as the Village People would say, is "In the Navy". And when you want to take an Able Danger Congressman Curt Weldon down, what better way than to send in the Navy? Berger, dubbed "Sandy Burglar" by radio meister Rush Limbaugh, gained notoriety for trying to stuff classified documents into his socks and other attire. The man, who...

Several members of President Bill Clinton’s national security team are hosting a Washington fund-raiser tonight for retired Vice Adm. Joseph Sestak Jr., the Democrat running against U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon in November. Officials at Sestak’s campaign headquarters in Media will not comment on the event, though an invitation sent out to potential donors and obtained by the Daily Times lists Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger as a host. "As a general rule, campaigns don’t comment on fund-raisers or people who hold them," said Sestak’s campaign chairman, Myles Duffy. Berger, who served as Clinton’s second-term national security adviser, pleaded guilty last year...

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) -- With the city election just days away, the two remaining candidates for mayor of Hoover are tackling what they see as a growing problem in the Birmingham suburb: illegal Hispanic immigrants. Jody Patterson and Tony Petelos are both calling for increased enforcement of immigration laws in Hoover, where scores of Spanish-speaking men typically line a well-traveled road looking for day-labor jobs. Patterson wants to bar the children of illegal immigrants from city schools, and both have criticized a center meant to help the area's foreign-born population. Partly in response to a chilly reception from the city,...

<p>Support for the war is strong in the hills around Dalton, Ga., but few know that the town of 28,000 is also home to one of the largest Arab news sites on the Internet.</p>
<p>The Dalton-based Al-Jazeerah Information Center blames the conflict with Iraq on American imperialism, greed for oil and "the Israeli lobby." There's even a link to the notorious anti-Semitic forgery "Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion."</p>
