The National Personnel Records Center (NPRC) has provided the following website for veterans to gain access to their DD-214s online: http://vetrecs.archives.gov/ This may be particularly helpful when a veteran needs a copy of his DD-214 for employment purposes. Veterans, I have a question. An associate of mine cannot locate his DD214. I looked at mine to see where another could be retrieved, but didn't see anything about that subject. Do any of you know where this can be accomplished by a phone call? If not, a web address probably would work. He needs to prove his veteran status for a fairly sensitve line of work. Thanx. HOOAH!

I went to Kerry's website to look at his naval records today, and noticed something interesting. The only DD-214 provided is the one that discharged Kerry, for the purpose of accepting his commission as an officer. This is not the DD-214 that Kerry would have received upon his discharge after returning from Vietnam.

Had a thought tonight. Kerry is a Life Member of VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America). VVA fell out of VVAW. When folks join VVA, they are required to furnish their DD-214. I wonder if there is a copy of that lovely form anywhere on record in the VVA offices???? Anyone know???

Some sharp cookie at Ted Nugent's site brought this up. Why does J Effin Kerry's 214 indicate he was discharged as an Ensign, wasn't he a LTJG? Someone? Anyone?

I RECIEVED AN EMAIL THAT SUGESTED KERRY'S ORIGINAL DISCHARGE MAY BE LESS THAN HONORABLE , AND WAS ALTERED DURING THE CLINTON YEARS. IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY THAT THIS IS TRUE. THAT HE DID NOT FULFILL THE REQUIRED ACTIVITIES . CAN THIS BE CONFIMED THROUGH THE FREEDOM OF IMFORMATION LAWS .
