CINCINNATI - Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Saturday that a pair of mailings sent to voters by rival Barack Obama's campaign criticizing her health care plan and trade views are false, misleading and a betrayal of his pledge to practice a new style of politics. "Shame on you, Barack Obama. It is time you ran a campaign consistent with your messages in public — that's what I expect from you," Clinton said angrily, waving the mailings in the air. "Meet me in Ohio, and let's have a debate about your tactics," she added. The two presidential candidates will meet in...

McCain slams Obama as deceptive, inexperienced Columbus, OH — Taking dead aim at the Democratic frontrunner, Sen. John McCain rebuked Barack Obama as an “inexperienced candidate” who is making empty promises to the American people of a “holiday from history.” “Will we make the right changes…or will we heed the appeals for change that ignore the lessons of history and lack confidence in the intelligence and ideals of free people?” McCain said before about 500 supporters after declaring victory Tuesday in the Wisconsin Primary. “I will fight every moment of every day in this campaign to make sure Americans are...

In Congress today is a tax reform bill called “The FairTax.” I want to tell you a little about it and then tell you why it is important for the immigration debate. The FairTax would institute a national retail sales tax and eliminate the personal income tax, the payroll tax, and the taxes hidden in business but paid by the consumer. It replaces all of these taxes with a 23% tax on personal consumption, meaning that out of every dollar spent by consumers, 23 cents will go to the tax man and 77 cents will go to the merchant. This...

In this war freedom should come first not after! In New Hampshire the Motto is Live free or Die! I don't need Bush spying on law abiding americans and taking our freedoms. Anyone who surrenders a square inch of freedom to the government in the name of saftey is a traitor and should be treated like one! Let the Bush Fashists all drop dead! Filthy Commys! LET FREEDOM RING!

Bush’s giant Right Wing Noise Machine (RWNM) loves to preach about the Bush economic miracle. In fact, the RWNM’s current thinking is Bush doesn’t spend enough time talking about his economic triumphs. If only he did, then everyone would fall in line and believe in the great Bush economic miracle. There is one problem with this argument: it’s a lie. Any way you look at the Bush economy, it comes up short. Today, I want to compare Bush’s job creation record with other economic recoveries. As usual, Bush comes up way short. The national Bureau of Economic Research has identified...

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the 2005-06 budget yesterday amid an orgy of self-congratulation among California's leaders, who were proud to miss the constitutional deadline of June 15 by a few weeks instead of the usual few months. Unfortunately, while the relatively quick agreement on the budget is welcome, the $117.5 billion spending plan is anything but. If the stakes weren't so high, the Sacramento types' celebration of their new comity would seem like, well, comedy. Consider the points raised by Sen. Tom McClintock, as ever the skunk at the Capitol picnic: The 2004-05 budget had a gap of only $2...

Arnold's retreats threaten his agenda By Harrison Sheppard Sacramento Bureau Saturday, April 30, 2005 - SACRAMENTO -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's retreat on his redistricting plan jeopardizes his entire reform agenda, as well as his plan for a special election, analysts say. Schwarzenegger had already decided to postpone pension reform until next year, then this week softened his stance on redistricting, saying it does not necessarily have to happen by 2006 as he first demanded. But political observers say another retreat could make Schwarzenegger look particularly weak even as his popularity numbers are sagging. "I don't know that he can afford...

You and your fascist co-horts will all be sorry when the Bush* administration is charged with stealing this election. His administration and this website is nothing more then propaganda for a fascist regime. We are watching you, and we will be there when you slip up and your face down on the ground because you slipped on your own Nazi style propaganda. John Kerry won this election and you know it! Everyone knows it!

If the U.S. embassy in Caracas began a campaign to flood a local Venezuelan newspaper critical of the USA with negative mail - openly using Venezuelans themselves as their agents - we'd never hear the end of it as a CIA 'covert' operation. And the deceptive concept is as distasteful as it is unthinkable. But that's what the activist hand of Hugo Chavez in the United States is doing now. The Venezuelan Information Office, which is financed by the government of Venezuela, yesterday announced the targeting of the Los Angeles Times because of its honest, eloquent "A Little Fidel In...

NEW YORK (Nov. 14) -- For some New Yorkers, a shoe sale is an incidental thing, a chance to pick up a pair of loafers, or rummage through racks of heels. For Lorraine Koppell, shoes are a matter worth suing over. Ms. Koppell, a lawyer and the wife of G. Oliver Koppell, a city councilman and a lawyer himself, is part of a class-action lawsuit filed in Manhattan Civil Court this month. Her adversary is Bloomingdale's. The suit, filed by a neighbor who went to the same Bloomingdale's sale, claims that the store misled shoppers in a sale flier last...

Putin: Ally or Terrorist? by William F. Jasper Counting Vladimir Putin as an ally against terrorism ignores his career in the murderous KGB/FSB and his ongoing support for terrorist regimes and organizations. ‘‘Lena Goncharuk, aged 38, said that she was the only one to survive out of a group of six who were ordered out of the cellar where they had been hiding and shot at point blank range. Resting in her hospital bed, her voice barely rising above a whisper, she said she had survived only by pretending to be dead." So reported Paul Wood from the Chechen border...

I hereby issue a public challenge to the New York Times. When is the "newspaper of record" going to run a correction of Paul Krugman's egregious mathematical error in which he claimed, in his August 1 column, that growth in real per capita California state spending from $1,950 in 1990 to $2,211 in 2003 was "only 10%," when anyone with a pocket calculator can tell that it is really 13.4 percent? And when will it correct Krugman's flatly deceptive claim that this growth "was simply a matter of keeping up with the population and inflation," when calculations of real per...
