Herman Cain: Dems frantic as blacks flee 'plantation' The man who has been described as possibly the worst nightmare for Barack Obama and his 2012 re-election strategists says he's under attack because of his message that blacks are fleeing the Democrat "plantation." Herman Cain, a former corporate executive and CEO who still serves on the board of directors for several companies with billion-dollar-plus annual revenue, recently was targeted for attack by the web-based AlterNet, which accused him of a "race minstrelsy" performance at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference meetings in Washington. "Herman Cain's shtick is a version of race...

Disgusted Helen Thomas: I Automatically Assumed Obama Was Black, Therefore He's Liberal By Tim Graham Created 02/18/2011 - 8:27am By Tim Graham | February 18, 2011 | 08:27 Tim Graham's picture Jeff Poor at the Daily Caller isolated the latest rant from former UPI White House correspondent Helen Thomas. On Wednesday night's Joy Behar show on CNN Headline News, Thomas said Obama is a coward, not a liberal, which was disappointing, since she thought "because he was black, I thought he would automatically be" liberal, or in other words, have an "empathy for all the blacks." BEHAR: Things have changed....

At a get-out-the-vote gathering Sunday morning at a Bronzeville restaurant, Congressman Danny Davis responded to U.S. Senate candidate Mark Kirk's suggestion to Republican activists that voter integrity squads be on site for voting in Chicago's black neighborhoods, which tend to vote Democratic. "Rep. Kirk thinks something will happen to his vote in these neighborhoods," Davis said. "Well, I'm here to tell him he's not getting any votes here. My question is why would he target areas that historically vote Democrat?" Vote drive Recently, without his knowledge, Kirk was caught on tape saying, "I have now funded the largest voter integrity...

Los Angeles — Latinos, a key part of the Democratic coalition that helped put President Obama in the White House, have the same lack of enthusiasm as other voters but will likely vote Democratic in this year’s midterm election, according to a survey released Tuesday by the Pew Hispanic Center. The survey, based on bilingual telephone interviews with 1,375 Latinos from Aug. 17 through Sept. 19, shows that 65% of registered Latino voters said they plan to support a Democrat while 22% said they prefer a Republican. That is about the same as the party identification: 62% of Latinos say...

Here's a story you haven't read in the Philadelphia Inquirer, children, or seen on the network news. A New Jersey Democrat worker has filed a federal lawsuit charging the 2008 campaigns of Sen. Frank Lautenberg and Congressman Rush Holt, whose 12th District includes Princeton University, with racial discrimination. Christopher Nastuk was a canvass director for the Lautenberg cambaign and his job was to find workers to go door-to-door to get out the vote. Among those hired by Nastuk were about a dozen blacks. This didn't sit well with his enlightened bosses, who fired them a few days later and replaced...

WASHINGTON,D.C. (AP)-President Barack Obama came out swinging against Republicans in a fiery campaign-season speech to black lawmakers Saturday night, making an urgent appeal for the kind of grassroots organizing that propelled the civil rights movement. With the GOP hoping to regain power on Capitol Hill in the November election, Obama described his adversaries as "a crowd ... that wants to do what's right politically, instead of what's right — period." He never named the opposing party, referring to it as "the other side." "I need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, and your workplaces, to your churches, and...

American politics isn't beanbag. It is rough, bare-knuckled and often dirty. In today's 24/7 media environment, attack ads are remembered, and the truth has a hard time catching up with a lie. We now have entire TV networks that are essentially ideological propaganda outlets. With Republicans consolidated as the party of white sanctuary, anchored in the South, and Democrats championing diversity and inclusion, the politics of race is accentuated. But given all that, have we ever witnessed anything like the unrelenting assault on Barack Obama? "Birther" nonsense is believed by some 40 percent of Republicans. Staggering numbers think he's a...

On this day in 1937, sixteen Republican Senators voted against confirming a former Ku Klux Klan member to the U.S. Supreme Court. Senator Hugo Black (D-AL) was known to have been in the KKK, but President Franklin Roosevelt and the Democratic Party and the media kept the documentary proof hidden until after his confirmation.

“Those who want slavery should have the grace to name it by its proper name. They must face the full meaning of that which they are advocating or condoning; the full, exact, specific meaning of collectivism, of its logical implications, of the principles upon which it is based, and of the ultimate consequences to which these principles will lead.” - Ayn Rand, “Anthem” As of last week, Charles Rangel, D-New York, has introduced a bill, H.R. 5741, the “Universal National Service Act,” into Congress - and the provisions and implications of this bill are drastic and far-reaching indeed: “To require...

In and apparent attempt to reassure the American people that the government is helping the right people Democrat Paul Kanjorski made this statement: You see its perfectly acceptable that we give government hand outs to people so long as they are “average, good American people” and not those danged “defectives”. Oh, and these “defectives” apparently include “minorities”. Wow. Lets look at the last part of what Rep Kanjorski said again (h/t Washington Times): We’re giving relief to people that I deal with in my office every day now unfortunately. But because of the longevity of this recession, these are people...

The biggest con job in American history is the paternal image African Americans hold of the Whites who run the Democrat Party. The lies and false propaganda Democrats have used to keep Blacks “in their place on the plantation” started with the Democrat former Confederate troops who established the Ku Klux Klan and have been a part of the nexus ever since. The latest Black man thrown under the bus is Alvin Greene an unemployed veteran who drew 60% of the vote in last week’s South Carolina Democrat primary for United States Senate. Since the results were announced the Democrats...

Let me share with you an interesting article from The Washington Post about the teacher of an all-black class in a high school in Alexandria, Va., who expressed his frustration at how poorly the students were performing. The class included both native-born African-Americans and kids who had emigrated from Africa. In a moment of exasperation, the teacher blurted out this question to the native-born students: "Why don't you guys study like the kids from Africa?" One of them shot back the answer. The kid replied, "It's because they have fathers who kick their butts and make them study." Another student...

A black guy in his mid-20's named Mike called into a radio show the other day, and he commented that "black people don't hear things the same way whites do." We blacks apparently "hear black." So blacks don't hear the statement "Take me back to the good ol' days" the same way as whites. Blacks are not nostalgic at all about "the good ol' days", and believe this to be "code" for taking blacks back to the bondage of slavery. To illustrate his point, Mike said that when he was in the second-grade, he and his classmates had listened to...

Don't let anyone tell you the American dream has faded. the truth is the U.S. is still minting lots of millionaires. Glenn Goss is one of them. Goss retired four years ago, at 42, from a $90,000 job as a police commander in Delray Beach, Fla. He immediately began drawing a $65,000 annual pension that is guaranteed for life, is indexed to keep up with inflation and comes with full health benefits. Goss promptly took a new job as police chief in nearby Highland Beach. One big lure: the benefits. Given that the average man his age will live to...

I was recently shown a videotape of people reacting to radio talk shows. Organized by a firm that specializes in analyzing radio talk shows, the members of the listening panel were carefully chosen to represent all major listening groups within American society. But I quickly noticed something odd -- I saw no blacks among the selected listeners. I asked why. And the response was stunning.Blacks had always been included, I was told, but no more. Not because the firm was not interested in black listeners -- on the contrary, blacks are an important part of the radio audience. They were not...

Democrats plan a race-based campaign against a candidate who aims to be Maryland's first black man elected to the U. S. Senate, according to a confidential Democratic Party campaign document obtained by The New York Sun. The target of the emerging smear campaign is Michael Steele, the Republican nominee for a seat vacated by Paul Sarbanes, a liberal Democrat who has represented Maryland in the Senate for 30 years. With the help of life-size cardboard silhouettes of Mr. Steele and the slogan "Make History," Mr. Steele became Maryland's lieutenant governor in 2002 - the first black man ever elected to...

Kanye West's charge last year that "George Bush doesn't care about black people" got a lot of attention. Liberals loved it and used Mr. West's words to slam the president for his failure to respond effectively to the flooding that killed and displaced hundreds of thousands of (mostly black) people in the Gulf Coast. If you read liberal opinion magazines and Web sites that touch on the full range of political and social issues, however, one can amend Mr. West's statement to read: "White liberals don't care about black opinionators."

On Feb. 13, the federal government stopped paying hotel bills for roughly 12,000 families nationwide who lost their homes to damage caused by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Once as high as 85,000, the number of hotel rooms being paid for by FEMA is down to 8,000. By March 6, FEMA says the hotel subsidies will be completely cut off. At the Country Hearth Inn & Suites near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, people carted their belongings through the lobby and into the cars of family members and friends. Some were headed to new FEMA-subsidized apartments or trailers. But a few lagged behind,...

The freaks come out at night. The demagogues came out on Martin Luther King Day. Democrat N.Y. Sen. Hillary Clinton, perhaps looking to distract attention from those pesky Code Pink protesters who've been dogging her over the Iraq war, commemorated the holiday by pulling a reverse Sister Souljah at race hustler Al Sharpton's pulpit in Harlem. The Canaan Baptist Church welcomed her pandering with what the Associated Press described as "thunderous applause." When a Democrat politician stumps at a church, you see, it's "minority outreach." When a Republican politician stumps at a church, it's a theocratic outrage. Asked to explain...
