This is a vanity, but I'm an "oldbie" so it's allowed (I think). I made up this flyer for those of you with 10 lb. brass cojones. They are to be printed up, copied, and handed out or otherwise distributed specifically in heavily Democratic areas. Note that it's a PDF file so you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access it--most newer computers come with Acrobat reader as a standard feature. I think it's a pretty effective piece. See what you think. Click here to download a PDF of the "Democrats for Bush" flyer

EAST ST. LOUIS - Carl Officer, the four-term mayor of East St. Louis, Illinois, announced before local supporters today that he has accepted the position as head of the Illinois Steering Committee of "Democrats for Bush," founded earlier this year by Democratic Senator Zell Miller of Georgia. A life-long Democrat, Officer is a third generation African-American entrepreneur with a family funeral home business and mayor of one of the poorest cities in Illinois and, for that matter, America. Officer was once a top aide to Secretary of State Alan Dixon, a Democrat who later served as a U.S. Senator from...

Today was the last straw. . . I work at a printshop in Sarasota, and have had to do several jobs for the Kerry/Edwards material - Postcard to women, absentees voters and black voters(where they actually say the republicans stood in the way of the Civil Rights Act '64 and the Voting Act '65). I have had to create things for the incredibly strange Jan Schneider. But today was a topper, the Sarasota DNC came in and actually order 250 signs and a qaunity of smaller signs that read "Republican for Kerry, cross over now!" UnEf'nbelivable. Even the most leftest...

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Today, Miami Beach Mayor David Dermer (D) issued the following statement regarding John Kerry’s remarks in Boca Raton yesterday: “I was surprised that John Kerry offered a book he wrote about terrorism eight years ago as evidence that he knows how to fight a War on Terror. Both his statements yesterday along with what he writes in his book make me even more certain that when it comes to the War on Terror, John Kerry simply does not understand the severity of the threat America faces nor does he understand that America must act offensively. “In Kerry’s...

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Democrat Youngstown Mayor George McKelvey today issued the following statement regarding John Kerry's hunt earlier this morning in Youngstown, Ohio: “The new camouflage jacket that supposed ‘avid’ hunter John Kerry wore today can’t hide him from a voting record that has earned him the distinction of being named the most liberal member of the United States Senate. “John Kerry can’t apply camouflage to his record, and it’s a record that is out of touch with all the mainstream values and priorities of the people of Ohio. “As a Democrat who supports President Bush, I’m confident that the...

We have sent flyers to New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri - the more the merrier. Please let us know if we can add you to locations where flyers have been passed out. Bearing signs in support of President George W. Bush's re-election, a diverse group of Republicans and Democrats from Bayonne, Jersey City and Hoboken gathered under the statue of Abraham Lincoln in Jersey City's Lincoln Park on Wednesday, hoping to dispel the perception that all Hudson Democrats favor Democratic challenger John Kerry. With a fall chill in the air and the shadow of the Lincoln statue falling over them, the group held up Bush re-election signs that generated the support of passing drivers who beeped their horns or waved raised fists out the windows. Most prominent among the two dozen participants...

YOUNGSTOWN, OH – Today, Youngstown Mayor George M. McKelvey (D) issued the following statement on John Kerry's trip to Ohio: "Ohio voters understand that defending America is of the utmost importance, and Ohio voters aren't going to trust a candidate who says America has to pass a 'global test' before taking action. Giving other countries veto power over our self-defense would cause our nation to drift towards tragedy. Ohioans want a President who takes action, not an international poll. President Bush realizes that our national security decisions must be made in the Oval Office, not foreign capitals."

Write/Producer/Director/Actor David Zucker, who has produced movies such as Airplane, Police Squad, Naked Gun, and Phone Booth, was one of the panelists today at the Liberty Film Festival in West Hollywood. One of the more memorable comments of the 3-day festival was made by Zucker during the panel discussion with other producers, writers, and actors. Zucker's family has been a typical Jewish Democratic family forever. He has now become the black sheep of the family since announcing his intention to vote for George Bush this year for president. The family was almost in shock to hear that. Zucker calls himself...

Massachusetts Democrat Brian Golden Endorses President Bush Earlier today, Democratic Massachusetts State Representative Brian Paul Golden announced that he will support President Bush in November over fellow Bay State Democrat John Kerry. Golden’s endorsement comes after witnessing President Bush’s accomplishments on education, Medicare and security issues. In contrast, Golden says that after following John Kerry’s 20-year senate career in Massachusetts, he still doesn’t know what Kerry stands for. “America needs a president who cares more about doing what is right than doing what is politically expedient. Both at home and abroad, President Bush has made tough decisions and shown a...

WASHINGTON, DC – Santa Fe City Councilman David Pfeffer, a Democrat for Bush, today issued the following statement: “Democrats across New Mexico are supporting President Bush because of his clear agenda for a safer world and a more hopeful America. President Bush has nearly tripled the amount of homeland security funding since taking office and federal funding for state and local first responders is up 680 percent since 2001. John Kerry’s troubling pre-9/11 approach to the War on Terror stands in stark contrast to the President’s forward-looking strategy of bringing the fight to the enemy. New Mexico voters aren’t going...

Not all Democrats hate President Bush. While it is true that most of those present at the Democratic National Convention despise the president, there is a group who are actively supporting him, and they are growing in number. The most famous is Georgia Senator Zell Miller. Miller's fiery speech at the Republican National Convention made headlines across the nation. Some described it as over the top, but it spoke for many southern Democrats increasingly alienated by the far-left elitism of the national Democratic Party.

At first glance it seems an oxymoron: Jewish Democrats for Bush. But in these unusual times when Greenpeace, the ecology group, has been seen to be promoting ecological damage and when it's no longer politically correct to be different, Jewish Democrats for Bush actually makes sense. To understand how such a group could come about, one must backtrack nearly 35 years. It was the height of the Vietnam War and both major political parties in America, the Republicans and the Democrats, had opposite and clearly defined agendas. The Democrats were all for getting out of a war that we were...

By BOB BLAKE 419-993-2077 bblake@limanews.com 09.02.2004 MINSTER — Deciding who to support in the presidential election was relatively easy, state Rep. Derrick Seaver, D-Minster, said Wednesday. It was deciding to publicly endorse Republi-can President George W. Bush for a second term that took a little time. But, in the end, Seaver said watching the campaign evolve and witnessing the stark differ-ences between the candidates was enough to prompt an announcement — timed to coincide with a keynote address by U.S. Sen. Zell Miller, D-Ga., at the Republican National Convention in New York City. Miller addressed the convention Wednesday evening. Miller...

The actor Ron Silver was leaving a cocktail party at the Four Seasons restaurant on Monday evening, headed for Madison Square Garden, when he ran into Henry A. Kissinger, whom he once played in a made-for-television movie. They greeted each other warmly, but as they shook hands, Mr. Kissinger raised a quizzical eyebrow and said, in his distinctive, German-tinted rasp, "What are you doing being a Republican?" It was the question of the night for Mr. Silver, who has long been known as a liberal Democrat, but who spoke from the podium on Monday, the opening night of the Republican...

Actor Ron Silver got a much warmer welcome at the convention Monday night - but will his speech get a chilly reception in Hollywood? Even though Silver made it plain in his address that he disagrees with President Bush on domestic issues, he claims he is catching it for hailing the war on Saddam. "I've already been feeling it socially," Silver tells us. "[Democrats] don't want to engage in any real conversation about post-9/11 security. They are so blinded by their Bush hatred." After chiding Tinseltown Kerry supporters in his speech, Silver says, "The Hollywood Reporter headline read, 'Actor Silver...

How Senator Zell Miller (D-Georgia) found himself at a Republican convention for the first time in his life.New York THE ALLIANCE between President Bush and Democratic Senator Zell Miller of Georgia began this way: After Bush was declared winner of the 2000 presidential race, but before he was inaugurated, he invited Miller to confer with him in Austin, Texas. Officially Bush was still Texas governor. But he wanted to talk to Miller about education, a national issue in which they had a mutual interest. Earlier, as Georgia governor, Miller had famously instituted Hope Scholarships that guaranteed every Georgia high school...

Kerry doesn't have much credibility in the South after telling rural voters that he represents their 'conservative values' despite being ranked the Senate's most out-of-the-mainstream member, and Kerry isn't taking us seriously considering his decision to stop competing in Louisiana. Twelve years ago, I delivered one of the keynote addresses on the first night at the Democratic National Convention in New York. It was a stinging rebuke of the administration of George H.W. Bush and a ringing endorsement of Bill Clinton. This summer I'll again be speaking in New York, but it will be to the Republican Convention that renominates George W. Bush. Many have asked how I could have come so far in just over a decade. Frankly, I don't think I've changed much at all. At 72, I don't feel much need to change my opinions. Instead, the...

Ed Koch is a top notch debaters. The current group of GOP speakers that are sent on TV or any event are a bunch of country club Republicans who never had to struggle in their life. Ed Koch would be a great spokesman for explaining Bush's foreign policy. On Domestic Issues he is at odds with the majority of the GOP, but on foreign policy he can be a great spokesman. Who would Democrats rather have at their convention? Sen. Zell Miller (D-Ga.) or former Chrysler chairman Lee Iacocca? You can bet it's Miller, who would attract many more conservative Democrats to support John Kerry [related, bio] than the endorsement of Iacocca (what did he do, again?) will. Alas, Miller will be busy preparing his speech for the Republican National Convention in New York. And to judge by the reaction of some Democrats, it's quite a coup for the GOP.
