Pabst Brewing Company and MillerCoors are going to trial, with hipster favorite Pabst contending that MillerCoors wants to put it out of business by ending a longstanding partnership through which it brews Pabst’s beers. The case has high stakes for Pabst, whose lawyers argue that the company’s very existence relies on the partnership with Chicago-based MillerCoors, which produces, packages and ships nearly all its products, which include Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Milwaukee, Natty Boh and Lone Star. MillerCoors, meanwhile, says it’s not obligated to continue brewing for Pabst and that Pabst doesn’t want to pay enough to justify doing so....

Courtney’s Restaurant and Catering owner Tom Courtney said he’s experienced a strong social media backlash because he rented the event room at his Mt. Juliet business to U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Marsha Blackburn on Saturday. Courtney said he’s been called a Nazi, an abuser, had his life threatened and said his staff has been verbally attacked. Hundreds of posters on social media said they would boycott his restaurant because it was a local venue to Blackburn, who is running for a seat in the U.S. Senate against former Democratic Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen. “People have posted they love our food,...

Mark Zuckerberg must need money because he just robbed a triple-amputee Iraq War vet blind. Brian Kolfage joined the Air Force just before 3000 Americans were killed in the September 11, 2001 terror attacks that also destroyed the Twin Towers in New York City. He wanted to serve. He wanted to keep what had happened to thousands of his fellow Americans from happening again. It was his duty, he believed. During Brian's second tour in the Middle East, he volunteered for a dangerous mission in Iraq. On September 11th, 2004, exactly 3 years to the day since the 9/11/01 attacks,...

The “Gosnell” film producers hit another obstacle this week when the social media giant Facebook refused to run their ads. “Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” will be in theaters beginning Oct. 12. Under-reported from the start, the film follows the true story of Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortionist who murdered newborn babies and committed numerous other crimes inside his “house of horrors” abortion facility. It stars Dean Cain (“Lois & Clark”) and is directed by Nick Searcy (“The Shape of Water,” “Justified”). Producers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney have faced roadblocks from the start of their project,...

Kim Davis walked out to Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” when she was released from jail Tuesday. A judge ruled that Davis should be released from jail as long as she doesn’t interfere with the licenses that her deputies have been granting. However, she infringed upon Survivor’s rights when she played the 1982 rock classic as she walked on stage to give a speech. Record label EMI has considered suing Davis, as well as her supporter Mike Huckabee, for publicly playing the song without permission. “They are well within their rights to hold a public rally in support of Kim...

A Muslim flightattendant has filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEO) claiming she was suspended from her job for not serving alcohol — which is against her religious beliefs. Lena Masri, an attorney for the Council of American Islamic Relations Michigan (CAIR), says Charee Stanley followed management’s directions, working out an arrangement with her coworkers to accommodate passenger requests for alcohol. However, Masri said, ExpressJet Airlines put Stanley on administrative leave after another attendant filed “an Islamophobic complaint” that referenced Stanley’s head scarf. “We notified ExpressJet Airlines of its obligation under the law to reasonably accommodate Ms. Stanley’s religious beliefs,” Masri said at a news conference in Farmington Hills...

WASHINGTON — The stacks of Supreme Court briefs filed on both sides of the same-sex marriage cases to be heard this month are roughly the same height. But they are nonetheless lopsided: There are no major law firms urging the justices to rule against gay marriage. Leading law firms are willing to represent tobacco companies accused of lying about their deadly products, factories that spew pollution, and corporations said to be complicit in torture and murder abroad. But standing up for traditional marriage has turned out to be too much for the elite bar. The arguments have been left to...

Judge Tonya Parker of Dallas County told the Dallas Voice that she respectfully tells couples why she can’t conduct their marriage ceremony: “I'm sorry. I don't perform marriage ceremonies because we are in...

Some of the world’s top PR companies have for the first time publicly ruled out working with climate change deniers, marking a fundamental shift in the multi-billion dollar industry that has grown up around the issue of global warming. Public relations firms have played a critical role over the years in framing the debate on climate change and its solutions – as well as the extensive disinformation campaigns launched to block those initiatives. Now a number of the top 25 global PR firms have told the Guardian they will not represent clients who deny man-made climate change, or take campaigns...

Conservative Websites are being subjected to denial of service attacks and worm virus infection. In particular Freeper Beckwith is fighting this battle right this moment. The left is ginning up to limit free speech of Conservatives, treating them as they would terrorists, using sophisticated software likely provided by the Obama Campaign, with hacker research likely funded by Tax Payer dollars for Community Workers. Whether we win in November depends on our success in protecting our internet speech rights. If anyone has techniques which would protect from these attacks, including encryption or the use of alternate OS such as LINUX, and mirror...

Brute bandwidth attacks are disappearing in favour of application-layer incursions, a Canadian ISP conference has been told Be prepared for application layer distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks, a security expert has warned Canadian service providers. Jim Deleskie, (pictured) former director of network security for global service provider Tata Communications, told the Canadian ISP Summit on Monday that hackers are turning away from brute bandwidth attacks by infecting hundreds of PCs. “The bad guys are getting smarter because those are a lot easier to see coming in and defend against,” he said. Instead, increasingly hackers with one PC can generate...

Volunteers download attack tool, organizers recruit hacker botnets, say researchers Computerworld - The retaliatory attacks by pro-WikiLeaks activists are growing in strength as hackers add botnets and thousands of people download an open-source attack tool, security researchers said today. In recent days, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks have been launched against several sites, including those belonging to Amazon, MasterCard, PayPal and the Swiss payment transaction firm PostFinance, after each terminated WikiLeaks accounts or pulled the plug on services. As of Thursday, WikiLeaks had posted the full text of more than 1,200 leaked U.S. State Department cables from its trove of over...

The website of MasterCard, the international credit card, has been hacked and partially paralysed by hackers, in apparent revenge for the payment network's decision to cease taking donations to WikiLeaks. A group of online activists calling themselves Anonymous appear to have orchestrated a DDOS ("distributed denial of service") attack on the site, bringing its service at www.mastercard.com to a halt for many users. "Operation: Payback" is the latest salvo in the increasingly febrile technological war over WikiLeaks. MasterCard announced on Monday that it would no longer process donations to the whistleblowing site, claiming it was engaged in illegal activity.
