  • 'Supergirl' Villain Attacks 'Climate Change Deniers'

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised at this. If I’m watching a science-fiction show, the first thing I should suspect is them peddling the greatest science-fiction of them all: global warming. Perhaps the CW’s Supergirl thinks I’ll swallow whatever they’re saying better than believing a man (or woman) can fly, but climate change remains just as nonsensical as if it were coming from Bill Nye the (fake) Science Guy. In Monday’s episode “Changing,” Dr. Rudy Jones (William Mapother) is a climate change scientist who insists that “our planet is being destroyed. And not by any invader or army. By...

The latest survey conducted by Washington-based Pew Research Center shows only 27 percent of Americans think that “almost all” climate scientists hold human behavior responsible for climate change, and only 48 percent think global climate change is “due to human activity.” This clashes with the frequent media assertion that Americans readily trust the so-called overwhelming “consensus” on climate change. The survey also found that far-left Democrats are much more likely to put their faith in climate scientists, while Republicans remain more skeptical. The survey noted that those skeptical of man’s influence on global warming aren’t science illiterate, a favorite talking...

Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse recently told people gathered in New York City that global warming “denial” hurts U.S. soldiers in the field and that the “main problem” with the military is its reluctance to join the climate crusade. “The problem has been that the uniformed military has been reluctant to put its voice into – or its image into this fight,” Whitehouse said, according to a YouTube video posted Thursday. An Australian university recently censured marine scientist Paul Ridd for “failing to act in a collegial way and in the academic spirit of the institution,” because he questioned popular claims among environmentalists about coral reefs and global warming. What was Ridd’s crime? He found out two of the world’s leading organizations studying coral reefs were using misleading photographs to make the case that global warming was causing a mass reef die-off. Ridd wasn’t rewarded for checking the facts and blowing the whistle on misleading science. Instead, James Cook University censured Ridd and threatened to fire him for questioning global warming...

Despite being approved by two committees, a bill that would have criminalized opposition to climate change died in the California senate. The bill would have targeted fossil fuel companies, think tanks, and individuals who, in the eyes of prosecutors, “deceived or misled the public on the risks of climate change.”Washington Times: The measure, which cleared two Senate committees, provided a four-year window in the statute of limitations on violations of the state’s Unfair Competition Law, allowing legal action to be brought until Jan. 1 on charges of climate change “fraud” extending back indefinitely. “This bill explicitly authorizes district attorneys and...

A landmark California bill gaining steam would make it illegal to engage in climate-change dissent, clearing the way for lawsuits against fossil-fuel companies, think-tanks and others that have “deceived or misled the public on the risks of climate change.” The first-of-its-kind legislation — Senate Bill 1161, or the California Climate Science Truth and Accountability Act of 2016 — is scheduled for floor action Thursday after clearing Senate committees in April and May. There is no question here: To protect our civilization from harm, it is vitally important to understand the causes of severe climate cooling and try to figure out how to prevent such cooling episodes, if possible. There are two kinds of ice ages; they are fundamentally different and therefore require different methods of mitigation: (i) Major (Milankovich-style) glaciations occur on a 100,000-year time-scale and are controlled astronomically. (ii) “Little” ice ages were discovered in ice cores; they have been occurring on an approx. 1000-1500-yr cycle and are likely controlled by the Sun. The current cycle’s cooling phase may be imminent...

    PR Week ^ | 08/2014 | Lindsay Stein and Frank Washkuch ,
Edelman global CEO Richard Edelman said in a conversation with an editor of Vice’s Motherboard blog that former US CEO Mark Hass was fired from the agency in part because of the way he responded to an investigation into PR agencies’ work with climate-change deniers. Quoted by Motherboard senior editor Brian Merchant, the chief executive of the world’s largest PR agency said, "We fired the head of our US [division] in part because of that stupid note he wrote, about, you know, how we don’t answer these kinds of things." In response to inquiries from the Climate Investigations Center that...

The Ninth International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC9) was held on July 7th to July 9th, 2014, at the Mandalay Bay hotel and conference center in Las Vegas. Of the nine conferences, I’ve been to eight, in various locations, missing only the one held in London. I live in Las Vegas so I didn’t have to go far this time. The International Climate Conferences are sponsored by the Heartland Institute, a libertarian-leaning think tank headquartered in Chicago. The conferences are a place for global warming skeptics to gather and exchange ideas.

When I came home from Iraq in 2008, friends frequently asked me what I learned “most” from the experience. That’s a tough question to answer, and it depends greatly on context. I learned many things about my faith, my family, and my country, but if the question relates to the war itself, I’d tend to say something like this: “I learned the enemy is more evil than you can imagine, and I learned that a deployment is more difficult than you can imagine.” But while the deployment was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, the chance to play a very...

A new poll offers details on the way citizens of the world think about climate change, and U.S. participants are looking particularly ignorant to the risks of global warming. Only one in four Americans said climate change was a "major threat," making the U.S. the least concerned nation.

From July 7 to 9, the ninth International Conference on Climate Change will convene in Las Vegas in a dramatic demonstration that “global warming” was a huge hoax and the claims that “climate change” is responsible for everything are a continuation of that fraud.

Climate change deniers *********************** Editor’s note: This is a guest post by my (imaginary) friend, the Very Honorable Ima Librul, Senator from the great State of Confusion Utopia. He is a founding member of CCCEB (Climate Change Causes Everything Bad), a charter member of President Obama’s Go For it Team, a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and Chairman of the Meretricious Relations Subcommittee. He is also justly proud of his expertise in the care and breeding of green unicorns, for which his Save the Unicorns Foundation has received substantial Federal grants. We are honored to have a post of this caliber by a...

It would seem President Obama is losing patience with those who excercise their free speech rights to express concerns about his (bogus) Climate Change agenda. As a matter of fact, according to an interview published in The New York Times, President Obama would love to “Go Off” on Climate Deniers in Congress: Do you ever want to just go off on the climate deniers in Congress? “Yeah, absolutely,” the president said with a laugh. “Look, it’s frustrating when the science is in front of us. … We can argue about how. But let’s not argue about what’s going on. The...
