Bruce Springsteen is the latest famous face to call for justice for Trayvon Martin. At his show in Limerick, Ireland, the 63-year-old dedicated his protest song American Skin (41 Shots), to the 17-year-old who was shot dead in February 2012 by neighbourhood vigilante George Zimmerman. According to the New Jersey Star-Ledger, after seeing the song written on a fan's sign Springsteen decided to play the track, dedicating it to Martin.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former IMF chief, has been described as "mentally ill" by Michel Rocard, France's highly respected former prime minister. The 81-year-old elder statesman of the Socialist party delivered his damning verdict in a live TV interview on Monday night. Mr Rocard - French prime minister from 1988 to 1991 - said it was “clearly medical problems” that drove Mr Strauss-Kahn to become embroiled in repeated sex scandals. The 63-year-old former head of the International Monetary Fund was recently freed from charges of trying to rape a hotel chambermaid in New York. Guinea-born maid Nafissatou Diallo, 32, has launched...

Prosecutors have filed a motion to dismiss charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who was believed to be a top French presidential contender until he was accused of sexually assaulting a Manhattan hotel maid. The development comes more than three months after the former head of the International Monetary Fund was arrested, and more than seven weeks after a judge released him from house arrest as investigators admitted they had discovered significant problems with the credibility of the maid. The accuser, who came forward late last month and identified herself as Nafissatou Diallo, met with prosecutors briefly Monday as the motion was...

Prosecutors are reportedly set to ask a judge to abandon the case against Dominique Strauss Kahn. Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is preparing to ask that all charges against the former head of the IMF accused of attempting to rape hotel maid Nafissatou Diallo are dropped Tuesday. Such requests from the DA 'are never denied', an expert told the New York Post meaning Strauss-Kahn could finally return to his home country after being forced to remian in the U.S for months.

A Muslim woman was beaten by two female thugs who ripped off her headdress during a Harlem attack that cops are investigating as a possible hate crime, The Post has learned. Aissatou Diallo, 56, said she was pummeled after asking one of the women to stop taking her picture as she walked to her husband's store Wednesday. "I was minding my business. I was fully covered. So, why did they attack me -- just because I am a Muslim?" Diallo told The Post. Diallo said she politely asked Francesca Johnson, 28, to quit snapping cellphone shots as she walked down...

For the second year in a row, Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Charles Schumer have slammed the door on helping the family of police-shooting victim Amadou Diallo remain in the country, The Post has learned. The refusal is a slap in the face of Rep. Charles Rangel (D-Manhattan), who has tried unsuccessfully to help Diallo's mother for two years now. The bill, which would grant Kadiatou Diallo and other family members permanent-resident status, died in the 2003-04 Congress and has no support in 2005. While the Justice Department has extended the family's stay until spring, it's unlikely to extend it...

An NYPD chief tried to show Bruce Springsteen who's the Boss - yanking the singer's police escort from Shea Stadium after he performed a song about cop-shooting victim Amadou Diallo. Chief of Department Joseph Esposito got angry when he heard Springsteen sing "American Skin (41 Shots)" at last Wednesday night's opening show at Shea, a police source told the Daily News. Esposito, the highest-ranking uniformed cop in the department, ordered the escort cut for Springsteen's next show, on Friday night, the source said. The Boss did not play the song that night or the next - and the security detail...
