Mexico's national human rights commission has said two federal police officers participated in the disappearance of 43 students in 2014. It's the first time national agents have been implicated in the case. The commission announced Thursday it had found an eyewitness who alleges federal officers were present at the scene of the abduction in Mexico's southwestern Guerrero state. Jose Larrieta Carrasco, the commission member investigating the case, said the new evidence suggested the officers did nothing to stop local police from taking the youths away. The 43 student teachers disappeared in the city of Iguala on September 26, 2014. Investigators...

It's been reported that many refugees never move into their intended accommodation after registering in Germany. It comes as Berlin tightens up laws regarding asylum. Germany's "Sueddeutsche Zeitung" daily reported on Friday that last year 13 percent of registered refugees never went to their planned shelter, equating to more than 130,000 people. The newspaper based its report on a response from the federal Interior Ministry, on request of Germany's Left Party. The ministry listed possible reasons for the refugees' disappearance as asylum seekers continuing their journey to other countries or submersion into illegality. ...

Five years ago Bobby Jamison, Sherilyn Jamison and their six-year-old daughter Madyson mysteriously vanished. It wasn't until more than four years later that their decimated, skeletal remains were found on a remote Oklahoma mountainside, lying side-by-side, face down in the dirt, three miles from their abandoned truck. On Saturday their loved ones held a memorial for the family. The modest but emotional ceremony may have given their family and friends a scrap of comfort - but it did little to end their torment. They still have no real idea what happened to their loved ones in a case that has...

Again, what better subterfuge is there than to accuse your enemy of what you yourself have engaged in for years? And the fabricated stories of Muslim women (or alleged converts to Islam) being abducted by Christians in Egypt have indeed provided a handy cover for a new string of disappearances. They are nothing new, as Coptic Pope Shenouda III observed even in 1976 that "there is a practice to convert Coptic girls to embrace Islam and marry them under terror to Muslim husbands." And our own archives are full of over seven years of such reports. Meanwhile, the world looks...

THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Dutch forensic experts are testing a piece of bone found on the Caribbean island of Aruba to see if it comes from missing American teenager Natalee Holloway, a spokeswoman said Tuesday. Experts first will establish whether the bone is human before comparing its DNA to that of Holloway, said Netherlands Forensic Institute spokeswoman Inge Oevering. Holloway, then 18, disappeared in 2005 while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba. Her remains have never been found, despite extensive police searches. If the bone turns out to be from Holloway, it would be the first concrete evidence...

Josh Powell is apparently shopping around for a new church. On the website, which is widely believed to be written by Josh and his father, Steven Powell, there was this paragraph: “Finding trustworthy spiritual support is more critical now than ever, since according to the media, members of the Mormon community had been pressuring Susan to divorce Josh on the basis of his beliefs. Josh and his family have recently enjoyed the fellowship of religious communities that share his and Susan's pro-family values. They have been investigating Christianity as an alternative to Mormonism. Vibrant faith communities in the local...

Chuck Mulligan said Lambert told police that he panicked and buried the girl in a shallow grave. Lambert was 15 at...
