It seems a box office phenomenon is happening right now. "The Hunger Games", from previews, seems to be setting all sorts of records this weekend. Very captivating camera work, and a sort of 'blade runner' sort of theme it would seem.

Exclusive: The Real “Game Change” of 2008… Drudge Goes In the Tank for Obama, Blocks Breitbart It is totally understandable that hard core conservatives would like nothing more than for Andrew Breitbart’s shocking death to have some sort of larger meaning. The fulfillment of his promise that college tapes of Barack Obama will insure that he will finally be “vetted” during the 2012 election would certainly achieve that desire. However, I wish to warn conservatives not to get your hopes up. There is no evidence whatsoever that this fantasy will come to fruition. There is also a fascinating story behind...

Andrew Breitbart was one of us, a “Bulldog for the conservative cause,” as Rush Limbaugh put it. And that is why I was furious when I learned that Matt Drudge callously betrayed him – the facts follow below. Andrew Breitbart tried to vet Obama in 2008 – and Matt Drudge blocked his efforts. One might consider, after reading this article, that Drudge, in fact, helped elect Obama! How do you feel about President Obama? Me too, and that’s why Drudge’s betrayal of Andrew Breitbart infuriates me. Drudge betrayed Andrew Breitbart – and you, because you trusted Drudge too. Back to...

I noticed that Drudge is doing his best to continuously paint Santorum as a religious nut. Over and over if you notice Drudge's headlines will show over and over what other people say, mistakes other people make and he purposely highlights any comment made even if remotely connected, that Santorum makes or has made even in a Church. Why does Drudge want Romney so bad he is really pissing me off. Here is a site that I used to love and found this site through it long ago. It is like he and Coulter just lost their minds or were...

Rick Santorum is about to see the kitchen sink up-close. So far he hasn’t been a threat, so he hasn’t faced much harsh scrutiny, much less the attacks that are about to come his way. His candidacy is for real, and Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney both know it. While Gingrich thought he could isolate Romney and become his lone real competitor, yesterday’s results, combined with a deflating Gingrich campaign, have allowed Santorum to leapfrog Gingrich as the more viable Romney alternative today. It’s not in Gingrich’s nature to give up. Attacking Romney hasn’t gotten him to where he thought...

I`ll keep it brief, I`m getting tired of Drudge`s bull, so does anyone know other news sites that actually report and support Conservatism?

The Drudge Report saw a drop in traffic yesterday of two million hits in the wake of proprietor Matt Drudge's two-day attack on Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.Drudge started his attack on Gingrich Wednesday evening with a banner headline accusing Gingrich of insulting former President Ronald Reagan. Drudge carried on the attack all through Thursday, at one time having fourteen anti-Newt headlines at once. The assault on Gingrich prompted many supporters to announce they were swearing off the Drudge Report with some saying they would stop using it as their home page.According to statistics posted by the Drudge Report, the site's...

Today I thought I had come to a liberal anti-conservatives/GOP/Republican website when to my great surprised, it turned out to be the Drudge Report website and what I thought was a dedicated attack on GOP Republican Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich from those who are in the GOP camp. This comes as NO SURPRISE AT ALL. Since Mr. Gingrich’s recent rise in GOP/Republican primary voters support, the GOP “elites” have all of a sudden have gone into panic attack mode, seeing that the candidate they support, Mitt Romney is not getting any support from the primary voters. Even much more so,...

Thursday, Bloody Thursday the Day the Drudge Report Sold Out It may be the Drudge Report sold out a long time ago and I was just too blind to see it. No one has ever accused me of being the smartest guy in the room. But if someone of the unwashed masses like myself has come to see that he has sold out, it must be quite clear to everyone. On this day he is maliciously and brutally battering a Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States by the name of Newton Leroy Gingrich. I have read the...

If Ann Coulter’s frantic unhinged rants on Bill O’Reilly’s and Sean Hannity’s show are any indication of Team Romney’s current mood and moral, Florida is Mitt Romney’s Alamo. From Matt Drudge, who apparently has ties to Romney advisor Matt Rhoades, to the National Review and all the lesser imps in between, it is apparent Romney is sounding the bugle and rallying the troops to man the walls for a last stand in Florida. Why else would some of the greatest conservative names and publications write blistering articles about Newt Gingrich they know themselves to be filled with half truths...

If you’re an independent voter or Democrat who is getting a bit tired of the Internet powerhouse Drudge Report’s political positioning of news items and/or have been turned off by some of its big news scoops that didn’t quite pan out in terms of the HUGE HEADLINES (the ones that have simply vanished off the site with no explanation) there are alternatives. Or, if you’re a Drudge fan and like that format and are looking for others that you can visit and get a news summary at a quick glance there are some excellent alternatives. Even if you ARE a...

I know that Drudge hired Romneybots Joe Curl and Charles Hurt to help him with his election coverage for 2012. But looking at the hysteria going on at the Drudge Report right now, it looks like Ann Coulter has joined Curl and Hurt in running the site. What the heck is going on over there?

It is always here in the birthplace of the Civil War that things go bump in the night for presidential campaigns. In 2000, John McCain’s surge for the GOP nomination was derailed by rumors he had a love child. Four years ago, Bill Clinton injected race into the Democratic nomination in an effort to derail Barack Obama’s juggernaut campaign in South Carolina. But all the shady twists and turns of the past were nothing compared with the Spanish moss-draped soap opera that has unfolded here in the past week.

Matt Drudge has been called many things but, unless I am mistaken, a stock market seer is not one of them. On Wednesday, someone did just that. Or, to be more specific, someone suggested that the Drudge Report is a contrary indicator. Same difference, really. Drudge made his name covering Monica and the blue dress, and continues to be a player in the political conversation. Anybody familiar with his site knows there's one big link at the top of it, and when he links, traffic follows. The enduring nature of his influence is awe-inspiring. And that's all he does, if...

A strange aspect of the Weinergate scandal is the LACK of any info about it on the Drudge Report. This is much too juicy of a scandal for Drudge to ignore. Therefore, I am guessing that Drudge is sitting on a big scoop which will break soon. Perhaps tomorrow.Anthony Weiner might think he can ride this out by hiding behind the advice of counsel to write it off as a prank but the Drudge scoop could put too much heat on him. It's going to be an interesting few days ahead. Oh, and don't forget we are sure to hear...

Reporter Scott Powers was the designated "pool reporter" for the vice president's Wednesday visit to the massive Winter Park, Fla., home of developer and philanthropist Alan Ginsburg. Suggests controversy could hurt president's re-election chances January 18, 2011 8:05 pm Eastern By Jerome R. Corsi Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie suggested in an interview published today that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Barack Obama may not exist within the vital records maintained by the Hawaii Department of Health. Abercrombie told the Honolulu Star Advertiser he was searching within the Hawaii Department of Health to find definitive vital records that would prove Obama was born in Hawaii, because the continuing eligibility controversy could hurt the president's chances of re-election in 2012. Toward the end of the interview, the newspaper...

Or, at least that's how I read this "report" from Mike Masnick of "TechDirt". The writer concludes: "Still, all this is doing is making me wonder why anyone would ever want to use any Righthaven connected publication as a source ever again." If when he says "use" he means "use without permission", then I agree with him. End Sherman Frederick quotes. In the meantime, Sherman Frederick posts copyrighted material to his own blog hosted by the Las Vegas Review Journal:...

Linked on... (WJZ) Baltimore Orioles outfielder Luke Scott wasn’t only talking baseball at the winter meetings on Tuesday. He questioned President Barack Obama’s birthplace and claimed he did not represent the United States. “Obama does not represent America. Nor does he represent anything what our forefathers stood for,” Scott said in an interview with David Brown of Yahoo’s Big League Stew. The 32-year-old went on to say Obama has no legal documentation. “He was not born here. That’s my belief. I was born here,” Scott said. ”If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go — within...

Hillary Clinton, Julian Assange said, "should resign." Speaking over Skype from an undisclosed location on Tuesday, the WikiLeaks founder was replying to a question by TIME managing editor Richard Stengel over the diplomatic-cable dump that Assange's organization loosed on the world this past weekend. Stengel had said the U.S. Secretary of State was looking like "the fall guy" in the ensuing controversy, and had asked whether her firing or resignation was an outcome that Assange wanted. "I don't think it would make much of a difference either way," Assange said. "But she should resign if it can be shown that...

Sadly, the Drudgereport “hits it on the nail”. “The Terrorists Have Won”. Despite one man’s personal objections to being screened because it is invasive to his privacy, the Transportation Security Administration has come out on Monday to state that while it tries to be as sensitive to individuals, it made its case once again that anyone who is taking a plane flight, must be screened. John Tyner, from San Diego, who was going to South Dakota on a hunting trip had explained to CNN in an interview said he had refused to go through an x-ray scan. From CNN website:Tyner...

The case of Mr. David Weigel, a reporter who was hired by The Washington Post to blog about conservatives and who resigned from his job on June 25, exposed the inner workings of journalism in America. But what has been most telling about the case since then hasn't just been Weigel's actions or the revelations of other journalists on "Journolist," -- which is described by The Post as "an off-the-record listserv for several hundred independent to left-leaning commentators and journalists that was founded in 2007" -- but how other journalists have reacted to the news. Although it has long been...

Journalism can reinvent itself without government 'help' The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is seeking ways to "reinvent" journalism, and that's a cause for concern. According to a May 28 draft proposal, the agency thinks government should be at the center of a media overhaul. The bureaucracy sees it as a problem that the Internet has introduced a wealth of information options to consumers, forcing media companies to adapt and experiment to meet changing market needs. FTC's policy staff fears this new reality. "There are reasons for concern that experimentation may not produce a robust and sustainable business model for commercial...

The Drudge Report has a teaser headline about the very reserved response Barack Obama got from the 2010 graduating class at West Point yesterday:Tepid applause from cadets: Cuts 'That's a lot of cheering' line from prepared remarks...Here is the prepared version followed by the transcript of the passage noted by Drudge:To the United States Corps of Cadets, and most of all, the Class of 2010 – it is an honor to serve as your Commander-in-Chief. Under our constitutional system, my power as President is wisely limited. But there are some areas where my power is absolute. And so, as your...

What's up with the Drudge Report? The news is flat and the coverage is not as crisp as it used to be. Sometimes things of interest go unreported (cyber Monday, for example) but silly Hollywood stuff IS reported (for filler, perhaps). Sometimes the subject is repeated twice on the page; sometimes different articles on the same subject are filed in different sections of the page.

A few months ago, “Ida” was sitting on top of the world. She’d been lauded as the “eighth wonder of the world” whose “impact on the world of palaeontology” would be like “an asteroid falling down to Earth.” Falling, indeed. On October 21, Nature published an article announcing that “[a] 37-million-year-old fossil primate from Egypt, described today in Nature, moves a controversial German fossil known as Ida out of the human lineage.” Wired also published a story, noting that, “[f]ar from spawning the ancestors of humans, the 47 million-year-old Darwinius seems merely to have gone extinct, leaving no descendants,” further..."...

WOO! HOO!Your humble correspondent has just beaten Ruslan Chagaev in the ring to become the World Heavyweight Champion! Here is a video report from Fox News on the White House's decision to launch an attack against the Drudge Report and blogs posting a video,or links to a video, that shows that President Obama envisioned Socialized Medicine going back to 2003 and spoke about it openly. The video has clearly rattled the White House, and they released a video to try and counter the one linked to at the Drudge Report, with Linda Douglass of the White House calling the Drudge link "disinformation." . . . . . You may remember this video published here on Sunday, using the President's own words to show that his real health care objective is a single payer system: Apparently the Drudge report picked up the story also. For some reason they drove a lot more people to the video then, The Lid did. So when the White House went on the attack they went after Drudge:

Driven by angry constituents, state senators are moving to flatten the tires of welfare recipients by cutting a program spotlighted in the Herald that hands them donated cars and state-funded insurance, repairs and even AAA membership. “We can’t be giving out freebies,” said state Sen. Steven A. Baddour (D-Methuen). “At a time when we’re cutting programs across the spectrum and working families are struggling to pay the bills, this program is just too rich for this budget.” The Herald reported last week that Gov. Deval Patrick was expanding the $400,000 wheels-for-welfare program with a $30,000 infusion despite the budget crisis....

On the morning of June 7, 2008, Matt Drudge showed up at the National Building Museum in Washington, where Hillary Clinton was scheduled to give her concession speech. At the entrance, Drudge found his host, Tracy Sefl, a Clinton campaign staffer who, the day before, had offered to meet Drudge at the event. Throughout the campaign, Sefl had served as the Clintons' preferred back channel to communicate with the mercurial operator of the Drudge Report. Both sides benefited from the arrangement: The Clinton camp could push favorable items into the news cycle, and Drudge would receive the inevitable traffic boost...

Matt Drudge at The Drudge Report poked fun today at the much-heralded Obama Whistle-stop Train Tour to Washington, D.C. Drudge linked to an article about the train tour with the bold headline, "Obama [Re]Travels to Washington." Obama, who has been in D.C. for days, flew to Philadelphia to get on the train and travel back to Washington, D.C. The train trip is meant to evoke the aura of Abraham Lincoln's train trip to Washington, D.C. ahead of his inaugural. The big difference: Lincoln was not in Washington prior to beginning the train trip!

Monday 12/22, 2:41am CT -- This entry was formerly entitled, "Elect Schwarzenegger President? Obama Says Yes We Can! Dear L.A. Times..." Now, the plot thickens -- the story of the story. As it turns out, this article was featured in Drudge Report as well as Free Republic and then... poof! The lead disappeared! Funny how that can happen. Was it because of the implications this has, at such a sensitive time -- what with cases before the Supreme Court showing Obama to be a fictitious candidate, not a natural born Citizen at all? And with Congress yet to certify the...
