Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson is very popular in some conservative circles and he made it no secret during the primary season that he was supporting Ted Cruz. He even campaigned with Cruz. Now that Donald Trump is the GOP nominee, Phil has changed his tune and is all in with Trump. He even had an interesting suggestion as to how to help the campaign out. From Western Journalism: “I’ll make a valiant attempt behind the scenes, you understand, to sit down with Donald with a Bible in between us, and I might can help him along with concepts like loving...

The Republican Party has a lot of problems, and if there’s one that doesn’t get enough attention, it’s the party’s broad appeal to provocateurs, faux martyrs, and grifters. Just look at the speakers list for the Republican Leadership Conference, which began on Thursday. There’s Donald Trump, the man who made “birtherism” a national cause; Herman Cain, whose presidential run was a glorified book tour; Dinesh D’Souza, who just pleaded guilty to a felony campaign finance violation, and Phil Robertson, the Duck Dynasty star who—like Cliven Bundy—believes black Americans were better off under racist oppression. In fairness, I’m sure Robertson despises...

“I know Phil Robertson. I know his beliefs,” Deirdre Gurney, executive producer of A&E’s breakout hit, said during The Hollywood Reporter Reality Roundtable. “I know how he treats a crew that has several gay people on it.” Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson came under fire after making anti-gay remarks in December 2013, prompting A&E to temporarily suspend him. Less than a week later, A&E and the Robertson family jointly announced that Phil Robertson would remain on the series during its fifth season, with no impact on production. The immediate uproar over Robertson’s incendiary comments, made during an interview with GQ,...

NEW ORLEANS – Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson kicked off the Republican Leadership Conference at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans on Thursday with an entertaining speech in which he mixed his faith in Jesus Christ with an admonition to the GOP to return to the Bible and the fundamental principles of freedom upon which the nation was founded. “You lose your religion, you lose your morality, you lose your freedom,” Robertson said. “You cannot be right for America if you are not right with God.” In an event the GOP billed as an “unofficial kickoff” of the 2016...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)MSNBC host Chris Matthews was baffled Friday night by the GOP’s choice to invite “Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson to speak at the Republican Leadership Conference. Matthews told his “Hardball” audience that the GOP’s “showing up with this guy from ‘Duck Farm or whatever’ is part of the problem. They’re playing to people who have rebel license plates on their cars. That’s who they’re talking to with this character.” “I guess the GOP is more desperate than I thought to call someone like me,” Robertson had told the audience at RLC on Thursday. MSNBC commentator Michelle Bernard joined Matthews in...

A startling video has emerged showing Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson unleashing another homophobic rant - just months after the TV show's network suspended him for a similar tirade. Robertson was filmed giving an Easter Sunday sermon at Whites Ferry Road Church in his hometown of West Monroe, Louisiana on April 20, according to the video on YouTube. In the footage, the 68-year-old expresses his anger at the outcry over his December interview in GQ magazine, in which he likened homosexuality to bestiality and branded gay people sinners. 'They were mad at me,' he tells the congregation in the video....
