MILFORD — Police estimated 2,000 to 2,500 people, not including those in a motorcycle procession, paid tribute to Matthew Denice with a vigil at Draper Park last night. Last Saturday, the 23-year-old local man was killed in a horrific accident allegedly involving an illegal immigrant from Ecuador. Mr. Denice's brother, Michael, said the motorcycle rally en route to the vigil was coordinated by Matthew's friends and fellow bikers. Mr. Denice's death has renewed a debate over illegal immigrant deportation policies, but Michael Denice said the family wanted the night to be about honoring Matthew, with drunken driving and immigration to...

No, not that Obama, silly. Boston talkmeister Michael Graham points to the story of Onyango Obama, a 67-year-old illegal alien from Kenya, arrested Wednesday night in Framingham for drunk driving after he almost crashed into a police car. The original news story reports that he had been ordered deported but absconded, along with hundreds of thousands of others whom the immigration service has announced it will no longer look for. Presumably he was identified by a means other than Secure Communities, which has not been activated in that jurisdiction, because of the governor’s opposition. But even if Secure Communities were...

It’s going to take some politician’s kid getting killed by a drunken illegal alien before the hacks finally figure out that there’s a mighty big problem here. You know what happened in Milford on Saturday night. A totally smashed illegal from Ecuador is accused of running a stop sign and mowing down a 23-year-old American on a motorcycle, and then proceeding to drag him, screaming, under his truck for a quarter mile. When the illegal finally ran off the road, the American became disentangled. He was still alive. But then the illegal backed his truck back over him, according to...

A man charged with four counts of intoxication manslaughter is an illegal alien who only a few weeks ago was arrested on another alcohol-related charge, officials say. Authorities said Castillo’s pickup truck struck a 1998 Mustang carrying four people, who all died from injuries they suffered in the crash. Their identities had not yet been released this morning. I often see DUI cases or the like where the driver borrowed someone's car so they could drive despite the fact the have no license and/or are suspended. Why is it the owner of the car is never charged as an accessory to a crime? If the owner did not file a police report of their car being stolen and the driver has keys, the presumption of guilt and burden of proof should be on the owner of the car.
