BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a man suspected in a string of Decatur County robberies tried to report his accomplices, thinking he could snag a piece of the reward. A group of business owners on Tuesday offered nearly $7,000 for tips on the recent armed robberies in the area.

It wasn't hard for Tammy Brown to identify a likely suspect in the burglary of her home. A 19-year-old man accidentally shot and killed himself Tuesday morning while he was attempting to rob a Grand Prairie home, authorities said. Cameron Sands, 19, of Fort Worth kicked in the door of the house and then shot himself in the stomach as he pulled a gun out of his pants to shoot the homeowner, Grand Prairie police said.
