Boston Marathon bombing survivor Adrianne Haslet-Davis allegedly walked out of the set of Meet the Press with David Gregory. A survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing stormed off the set of NBC’s Meet the Press in tears on Friday after being asked to comment on Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev — after she was allegedly promised their names would not be mentioned. Adrianne Haslet-Davis, a dancer who lost part of one leg during the attack, tweeted after the taping: I feel so disrespected @meetthepress I asked politely yesterday and you said yes. Now you choose to use the name instead.

Given the powerful grief and anger over the Boston Marathon bombing, Boston would seem to be a particularly hostile place for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to stand trial. But it might just be his best hope of escaping a death sentence. Opposition to the death penalty runs deep in liberal Massachusetts. In a Boston Globe survey in September, 57 percent of Massachusetts residents polled favored life in prison for Tsarnaev, while 33 percent favored execution. As Tsarnaev's lawyers weigh whether to attempt to move his trial out of town, away from those most deeply traumatized by the bombing, some legal experts say...

Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty against Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused of orchestrating last year’s Boston Marathon bombing along with his brother Tamerlan, the Justice Department announced Thursday. “After consideration of the relevant facts, the applicable regulations and the submissions made by the defendant’s counsel, I have determined that the United States will seek the death penalty in this matter,” Attorney General Eric H. CAMBRIDGE — It was not a typical teen cause in the late 1970s. But when students at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School were concerned that they were not learning grammar, they knew whom to turn to: Bill de Blasio. The gangly 6-foot-5 senior huddled with administrators and teachers. Before long, students were taking a grammar class called Better Than Basics. “You went to Bill to get it done,” said Nora Burns, a fellow member of the class of 1979. These days, de Blasio is the leading candidate for mayor of New York, an outspoken liberal poised to become the city’s...

BOSTON (Reuters) - A grand jury on Thursday indicted two students from Kazakhstan on obstruction of justice charges, alleging they helped hide evidence related to the April Boston marathon bombing that killed three and injured 264, the U.S. Attorney's office for Massachusetts said. Dias Kadyrbayev and Azamat Tazhayakov, both 19, were college friends of surviving bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. They are charged with removing a backpack containing fireworks and a laptop from Tsarnaev's dorm room after the FBI released pictures of Dzhokhar and his older brother Tamerlan in an effort to learn the names of the bombers.

The Rolling Stone cover photo of Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has been the subject of countless news stories because people across the ideological spectrum have rightly objected to this magazine's glorification of the Islamist killer. But an even bigger scandal is unfolding in Seattle, Washington, as radical Muslims working with members of the Democratic Party and the ACLU have forced the FBI to take down bus ads depicting photos of 16 of the world's Most Wanted Terrorists because some people may perceive the jihadists to be Muslims. They should have given the victims more consideration."

Why is everyone upset with Rolling Stone? They’re just doing what they do: celebrifying the base elements of society in order to make a buck. And let’s face it, it’s not as if Rolling Stone invented  “Trčs terror Chic” fashion. Che Guevara t-shirts have been popular since the 60’s Zapatista gear seemingly forever: Keffiyehs since the 80’s Mujahaddin scarves since the 90’s, and "shemaghs"  since the ought’s. Of course, these all serve a very practical military purpose for both sides when you’re engaged in desert warfare. Made in China, for both sides Butt that’s not what made them famous; celebrities...

According to The Weekly Standard, authorities are still investigating how much Tamerlan Tsarnaev's wife knew about the Boston bombings. The report states that law enforcement officials now believe 24-year-old Katherine Russell Tsarnaeva called Tamerlan to let him know the FBI was looking for him after she saw his photos on the news. Though officials believe Tsarnaev was already aware, he and his younger brother went on the run a short time later, culminating in his death and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's arrest. Investigators were told of the alleged phone call by Dzhokhar in his interrogation before he was read his Miranda rights.

NEW BEDFORD — Agents wearing FBI and Department of Homeland Security jackets detained two men at the Hidden Brook apartment complex just hours after releasing three people believed to be associated with Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. A neighbor who declined to identify herself said the same two men were among the three people taken into custody by the FBI Friday afternoon. An FBI spokeswoman could not provide any information on the two men, both of whom were led away in handcuffs around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, or anything related to the apartment, citing the “ongoing” nature of the investigation....

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers. Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack. More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday. A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and...

Before leading cops on a city-wide manhunt, Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was busy partying it up with friends in a college dorm room ... this just two days after his deadly attack on the Boston Marathon. The bombs went off on Monday and while law enforcement poured over photos searching for a lead, Tsarnaev went back to his dorm at UMass Dartmouth and acted like a regular non-terrorist college kid, according to the Boston Globe. He reportedly slept in his dorm, went to the gym and then partied Wednesday night with pals from his intramural soccer team. A student source told...

Overwhelming evidence is no match for stupidity. Hot on the heels of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's arrest last night, the Facebook group "Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is Innocent" was quickly formed. As of writing this article, the group has over 700 members. Why anyone would create a group like this can only be speculated upon. The only thing written in the description of the group is, "this is a set up!" Additionally, the group is claiming that the Boston Bombings themselves never occurred, and that some sort of government entity killed innocent people, while staging the explosions, with thousands of operatives (pretending to be...

More details have emerged about the Friday night capture that brought the intensive manhunt for the Boston bombing suspects to an end. Suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, had been hiding in a boat in Watertown, Mass. Authorities responded to a call from a local man late Friday, after he observed that a tarp covering his boat had been disturbed and there was blood in the boat. The FBI hostage rescue teams (HRT) planned and executed their operation to clear the boat by lobbing "flash-bangs" into it, which forced the young man to climb out, according to CBS News senior correspondent John...

PRESIDENT OBAMA: In this age of instant reporting and tweets and blogs, there's a temptation to latch on to any bit of information, sometimes to jump to conclusions. But when a tragedy like this happens, with public safety at risk and the stakes so high, it's important that we do this right. That's why we have investigations. That's why we relentlessly gather the facts. That's why we have courts. And that's why we take care not to rush to judgment -- not about the motivations of these individuals; certainly not about entire groups of people. (April 19, 2013)

Media Bias: There's palpable dismay at outlets such as MSNBC and Salon that the Boston Marathon bombers were radicalized young men from Chechnya and not angry white males from the vast right-wing conspiracy. Shortly after Monday's tragedy in Boston, David Sirota of Salon Magazine penned a piece titled "Let's hope the Boston Marathon bomber is a white American." His hopes were dashed when the suspects turned out to be Muslim brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, whose family origins are in Chechnya, the rebellious Russian region that is a breeding ground for terrorists. In 2002, about 40 armed Chechen separatists took...

A Cornerite e-mails: I wanted to call your attention to the fact that the dead Boston bomber’s website contained links to Muslim end-time (Madhist) websites discussing the prophecies about the “Black Banners of Khorosan”. Charles Cameron at the Zenpundit blog has been writing specifically about Madhism and end-time prophecies as a factor in terrorism for years now, and is a very informative source. See for example this post (http://zenpundit.com/?p=3205) or just go to Zenpundit.com and do a search on “Black Banners”. The fact that they are Madhists is probably more important than that they are Chechens.
