  • Canadian Climate Minister Urges Attention to the ‘Gendered Impacts’ of Climate Change

Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change is urging environmental activists to address the “gendered impacts” of climate change, especially its effects on women and girls. In a recent post on Twitter, Catherine McKenna, the 47-year-old Trudeau appointee from Canada’s Liberal Party, called on followers to “consider the gendered impacts of climate change on women, girls and children” while praising Canada’s leadership in training “women negotiators” in the fight against manmade global warming. Apparently, at least in the minister’s mind, the weather is now waging its own “war on women.”
  • Misguided Attempt to Free Thousands of Minks Goes Horribly Wrong (Libtards kill 40,000 minks)

Between 30,000 and 40,000 farm-raised minks were released into the wild near Eden Valley, Minnesota, earlier this week when burglars—presumably animal rights activists—cut the fence to a mink-pelt farm and opened the cages holding the mammals, letting them run into the wild. Minks are strange little creatures somewhere between otters and ferrets, and when they run, their front halves and back halves teeter independently like two people pretending to be one horse. While the idea of tens of thousands of minks flopping through a pasture is quite amusing, the minks’ liberation likely came at a price: Farm-raised minks aren’t really...
  • Want to live 'green'? Grow some watermelons

Closer to home, enthusiasts can proclaim their commitment to Gaia by coloring their websites or painting their store fronts green. (Apparently that’s all it takes, so perhaps my kitchen walls qualify.) They’ll sell posters and T-shirts and take donations for everything from planting trees to brainwashing children. Retailers will try to convince customers on the greenness of every product on their shelves, regardless of origin or purpose. I believe the term for this mass hysteria is greenwashing. Hypocrisy abounds during this yearly event, as was comically illustrated in 2015 by Bill Nye (“the science guy“) who famously tweeted his plans...
  • Feds, Wildlife Groups Use Bogus Endangered Species Science to Block Border Fence

Wildlife conservation groups are collaborating with a federal government agency to halt construction of the southern border wall by fudging science to claim that unimpeded trans-border corridors are essential to an “endangered species” with 99% of its population in Mexico. Under the plan, large areas of Arizona and New Mexico would be prohibited from erecting a border wall so that jaguars—which don’t even occupy the area—can roam back and forth between the two countries. More than ¾ million acres in Arizona and New Mexico would be designated as critical habitat for jaguars under the federal Endangered Species Act (ESA), which...
  • Trump Has Repealed These 7 Pieces Of Obama’s Environmental Legacy

    04/01/2017 2:01:16 PM PDT · by ColdOne · 19 replies ^ | 4/1/17 | Andrew Follett
President Donald Trump signed executive orders and new legislation this week that repealed much of President Obama’s environmental legacy. Trump eliminated the Clean Power Plan (CPP) as well as rules and regulations from several different federal agencies that had been implemented as part of Obama’s environmentalist agenda. “We fully expected the Clean Power Plan to be overturned, but were surprised at the breadth of the Executive Order,” Kathleen Sgamma, vice president for government at the Western Energy Alliance, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “It comprehensively clears out some of the regulatory overreach of the Obama Administration that was about...
  • Video shows environmental activists defacing popular Trump golf course

A group of environmental activists pulled off a daring act of defiance at one of President Trump’s premier golf courses early Sunday morning. The group — which labels itself an “anonymous environmental activist collective” — snuck into Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and carved a message into the green with six-foot-tall letters that said: “NO MORE TIGERS. NO MORE WOODS.” The 18-hole, 7,300-yard course is set among cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean just south of Los Angeles. Last year, Golf Digest ranked it the 43rd best course in California. In a statement sent to The Washington...
  • Environmentalist Protest Destroys The Environment At Standing Rock

Garbage, building materials, and months of untreated human waste from thousands of Standing Rock squatters now threatens the very water they claimed to be protecting. After half a year, hundreds of arrests, and thousands of headlines, the protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline has drawn to an end at the Standing Rock site. On February 22, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum forced an evacuation of the protestors’ camps. The government needed time to clean the environmental mess the environmentalists left behind. That paradoxical reality underscores many of the problems with efforts that claim to solve potential problems. In the end,...
  • State AG's assault on climate skeptics far worse than we thought(DENIERS BE DAMNED!)

A previously unknown agreement signed by the 15 Democratic state attorneys' general that represents a united assault on climate change skeptics shows just how broadly the coalition will interpret the law to attack and harass those who disagree with them. The agreement also makes clear that the investigation by prosecutors will remain secret - a star chamber if there ever was one. I really hope Exxon will hold out and refuse to settle with these vultures.
  • No **** Sherlock: Renewable Energy is a Disaster, New York Times Reveals

Today’s “No Shit Sherlock” award goes to the New York Times‘s environment pages for their belated discovery that renewable energy is a lame duck. Is the global effort to combat climate change, painstakingly agreed to in Paris seven months ago, already going off the rails? Germany, Europe’s champion for renewable energy, seems to be having second thoughts about its ambitious push to ramp up its use of renewable fuels for power generation. Hoping to slow the burst of new renewable energy on its grid, the country eliminated an open-ended subsidy for solar and wind power and put a ceiling on...

In a surprising turn of events, climate change doomsayers have turned their attention to cattle, as environmentalists have been compelled to acknowledge that “livestock emissions” are more dangerous for the environment than automobiles. A recent article at EcoWatch says that greenhouse gas emissions from livestock actually account for a higher percentage of total global emissions than the world’s 1.2 billion automobiles. Whereas the transportation sector accounts for only some 14 percent of global emissions, cows produce a remarkable 14.5 to 18 percent of the global total, the article confesses.
  • State AGs, Green Groups Subpoenaed Over ‘Coordinated’ Attack on Climate Change Skeptics

The state attorneys general of New York and Massachusetts and eight environmental groups that have accused climate change skeptics of lying to the public are now themselves the subject of a congressional probe. The House Science, Space and Technology Committee issued subpoenas to New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey, and the eight green groups after they missed a July 13 deadline to turn over documents related to their “coordinated” attack on climate change skeptics, chairman Lamar Smith (R-TX) announced Wednesday. The subpoenas ordered them to turn over documents “related to coordinated efforts to deprive companies,...

WASHINGTON, D.C.//NEWS ADVISORY///Hundreds of moms and their children will gather on Capitol Hill Wednesday (July 13, 2016) to hold a unique “Play-In” protest event. The moms and their kids will focus on the need to address climate change and air pollution, and also will demand climate solutions like renewable energy and federal limits on greenhouse gas emissions. Organized by Moms Clean Air Force, the “family friendly” protest event takes place Wednesday from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Upper Senate Park, 200 New Jersey Avenue NW on Capitol Hill. The news event will be held from 10:30-11 a.m. at the same...

Some Republican lawmakers and attorney generals are pushing back, warning in writing that “If it is possible to minimize the risks of climate change, then the same goes for exaggeration” . . . “If minimization is fraud, exaggeration is fraud.” So yes, what about Al Gore? According to Bloomberg his net worth of about $1.7 million after leaving Congress now likely exceeds $200 million, a fortune gained by manufacturing and cashing in on man-made climate fright. Ten years ago, the Goracle told an AP reporter during the 2006 premier of his “An Inconvenient Truth” science fiction horror movie, “unless drastic...

Although the Department of the Interior says its new regulations, announced Thursday, on gas and oil exploration and production in U.S. Arctic waters constitute “a balanced approach to any oil and gas exploration in the Arctic region,” critics say the new rules will damage U.S. energy production. “The rules help ensure that any exploratory drilling operations in this highly challenging environment will be conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, while protecting the marine, coastal, and human environments, and Alaska Natives’ cultural traditions and access to subsistence resources,” Interior Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management Janice Schneider said...

Billionaire anti-fracking activist Tom Steyer has dramatically increased his political donations in four key legislative races in Colorado in an effort to push the state away from fossil fuels, according to federal and state campaign finance records. Steyer made three $200 personal contributions to Democrats in crucial state Senate races. Democratic senatorial candidates Rachel Zenzinger, Jenise May, and Daniel Kagan were the recipients of Steyer’s largesse. May and Kagan are running for open seats, while Zenzinger is trying to unseat an incumbent Republican. Big money donors like Steyer can contribute a maximum of $200 in Colorado to state House or...

The activists, including Naomi Oreskes and Bill McKibben, recently coordinated with attorneys general (AG) culminating with a March 29 press conference, led by New York AG Eric Schneiderman and joined by former Vice President Al Gore. There the “unprecedented coalition”—as Schneiderman’s press release called it—was announced: the newly formed AGs for Clean Power. Though “vague” on their specific plans, 17 AGs (16 Democrats and 1 Independent) have, as the Huffington Post reported: “committed to pursuing an all-levers approach” to, as Gore said: “hold to account those commercial interests that have been, according to the best available evidence, deceiving the American...

The raw deal that American taxpayers are getting is nothing short of scandalous. “Green energy remains an inconsequential source of energy in America despite more than $80 billion in direct federal taxpayer subsidies under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama,” write authors Stephen Moore and Kathleen Hartnett White in their new book Fueling Freedom: Exposing the Mad War on Energy. “Wind and solar combined produce less than 3 percent of our energy, and only about 5 percent of our electricity.” CARTOONS | Robert Ariail View Cartoon It gets worse. ExxonMobil fended off two of the investigations launched by liberal attorneys general into the oil giant’s alleged campaign to mislead the public on global warming. U.S. Virgin Islands Attorney General (AG) Claude Walker has withdrawn the subpoena he sent Exxon as part of his anti-racketeering investigation, and Massachusetts AG Maura Healey’s office has agreed to temporarily suspend enforcing her subpoena. “After conferring on the matter, the parties mutually agreed that Attorney General Walker will withdraw the subpoena and ExxonMobil will stipulate to the dismissal without prejudice of this action,” reads a legal filing submitted to the court Thursday by Exxon...
  • Enviros Claim Brexit Will Be ‘Catastrophic’ For Nature

Environmentalists are freaking out that Britain voted in favor of leaving the European Union on Thursday– something activists claim will be “catastrophic” for the environment. British environmentalists took to Twitter to vent their fears about leaving the EU after the “Brexit” vote. Activists have been arguing for months that leaving the EU would allow “climate deniers” to gain more power and undo environmental protections. From an environmental perspective this is catastrophic. Fight now on to ensure EU standards maintained and cooperation on climate continues.
  • NASA’s Top Climate Scientist On Brexit: ‘Stupid And Selfish’

NASA’s top climate scientist took to Twitter Friday morning to criticize British voters for choosing to leave the European Union, calling the so-called Brexit vote “stupid and selfish.” Gavin Schmidt is the director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, but long before becoming the space agency’s lead climate scientist, Schmidt was born in Britain. He’s obviously not a fan of U.K. voters’ decision to leave the EU.
