  • The Worst May Be Yet To Come From Obama's Labor Board

    Townhall.com ^ | October 4, 2012 | Fred Wszolek
Under the Obama Administration, Big Labor has seized control of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB or Board) to drive its self-interested agenda – a truly unprecedented development in the history of the NLRB. In the past, Board law has changed when control moved from one political party to another. But never before has a Board majority conducted itself in such unprincipled partisan manner, ramming through an extremist agenda and dissembling about it. Three examples demonstrate the point: The NLRB stripped workers of their right to a secret ballot election to challenge their employer’s recognition of a union by card...
  • Obama Collapse in Illinois: Tied in District He Won by 23 Points in 08

Back in August, a poll showed Obama with just a 12 point lead over Romney in Cook County, Illinois. While he posted a huge lead in the city of Chicago, the poll found him actually losing to Romney in suburban Cook County. It was a shock that I set aside as an outlier. A new poll of Illinois' 10th Congressional District, which includes parts of Cook County, however, suggests the August poll might not be such an aberration. The poll, from WeAskAmerica, finds Obama with just a 2 point lead over Romney, 47-45 in the suburban district. Obama won the...

(CNN) -- A forceful Mitt Romney went toe-to-toe with President Barack Obama on the dominant issues for voters, challenging the Democrat's policies on the economy, taxes and health care in the first of three debates ahead of the November election. In exchanges full of policy proposals, facts and figures, the Republican challenger was more aggressive in the 90-minute encounter in criticizing Obama's record and depicting the president's vision as one of big government. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has become the chief attack dog against his co-religionist Mitt Romney, but on Wednesday that attack went even further when his official Senate office released a statement that attributed a quote to Mr. Romney, even though he said the exact opposite. Mr. Reid's release quoted the Republican presidential nominee's staff as telling the Boston Globe that Mr. Romney would "not honor deportation exemptions" that President Obama has granted under his new non-deportation policy. But that phrase doesn't appear in the Globe's article. In fact, the newspaper said Mr. Romney's staff specifically "said he would honor...

The presidential debates start October 3 and extend to October 22. But who wins or scores in the debates will have no influence on tens of thousands of Americans who will have already cast their votes for president and are not permitted to change their minds. In 2008, 31 percent of voters cast their ballots prior to Election Day, and the count was more than half in some battleground states. The percentage is expected to top 40 percent this year since early voting is now allowed in 32 states and began in Iowa on September 27. In 2008, John McCain...

The mainstream media hasnt covered Operation Fast and Furious too closely, but as far as Republicans are concerned the botched gun-walking operation is money in the bank. In an email to Republican friends, GOP vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan called for Attorney General Eric Holders resignation, while soliciting donations. Ryan says Holder has misled Congress and entirely botched the investigation of the Operation Fast and Furious debacle yet he still leads our nations Justice Department. Because President Obama wont fire Holder, Ryan suggests that voters fire both of them this November. To help, Ryan requests that email recipients donate...

Federal functionaries serving radical agendas rather than taxpayers riddle Washington. Last week came further evidence that cultural Marxism imbues the Department of Agriculture. Orthodox Marxism fixates on the economic, revolving around class struggles. Cultural Marxism, otherwise called political correctness, incorporates social dynamics. The privileged class extends beyond capitalists and bourgeois to whites, men, Christians and heterosexuals. While workers are still afforded victimhood those alienated by American culture also include minorities, women and even people behaving ways historically considered immoral. President Obama perceives society through this politically correct prism. His raison dtre rests on a post-modern variant of Marxism popular in...

President Barack Obama made a major gaffe when he recently said that we are owned, or "belong to", government. In the United States the government is supposed to "belong to" the people instead of the other way around as he suggests. We the people are supposed to own the government and tell it what to do. Have there been any poll results or other indications of the effect West's commercial is having? We know the media will call it desperate and intemperate. How are the voters reacting?

Americans United for Separation of Church and State evidently sent copies of this letter to 60,000 pastors recently. Its important to remember that Americans United is not an official agency of any governmental entity. This letter has no force of law and is just their opinion. Our local AU affiliate here in Oklahoma has sent similar letters to pastors in my House district in the past. The pastors I talked to about it tell me they threw it in the trash.

A raging war has been underway between Republicans/Romney and the mainstream media (MSM)/polling organizations on the accuracy of many recently reported polls. Both sides have stridently argued their cases in a vicious skirmish that has been decidedly unequal. The Republicans, the Romney campaign, conservative talk radio, conservative new media and Fox News have valiantly fought the Democrats, the MSM, some polling organizations and the Obama campaign organization. Yet given just the megaphones owned by the MSM and Obama's bully pulpit, the battle has been the equivalent of brandishing a popgun at a howitzer...the voting public seemingly is not hearing the...

Pray For the Salvation of America My fellow Freepers, It is a very serious time in our nation's history and our future looks very uncertain and every day the news is full of stories that cause us to fear as it looks like we are teetering towards the edge of a cliff. It is quite obvious to even the casual observer that our great country is under a tremendous spiritual assault by the forces of darkness and hell that is causing great distress to many across this land and in other free nations. This is largely our own fault as...
