Some Feminists Love Abortion on Demand But Hate Governor Sarah Palin

LifeNews.com Note: Joan Swirsky is a New York-based journalist and author. You can find out more about her at her web site http://www.joanswirsky.com. LifeNews.com may not necessarily endorse every view presented in the editorial columns we carry. Why are the retro-feminists in the left-wing media, the National Organization of Women, and the abortion lobby, among other hysterics, militating so violently against Sarah Palin? It's because they value abortion-on-demand over every other subject on earth. This "value" started in the late 1950s - before abortion became de rigueur - when the Food and Drug Administration approved the birth-control pill developed by...

Feminist Army Aims Its Canons At Palin (The Hypocrisy Of The Radical Feminists Alert)

Whether or not Sarah Palin helps John McCain win the election, her greatest work may already be behind her. She’s exposed the feminist con job. Don’t take my word for it. Feminists have been screaming like stuck pigs 24/7 since Palin was announced as McCain’s running mate. (Are pig metaphors completely verboten now?) Feminist author Cintra Wilson writes in Salon (a house organ of the Angry Left) that the notion of Palin as vice president is “akin to ideological brain rape.” Presumably just before the nurse upped the dosage on her medication, Wilson continued, “Sarah Palin and her virtual burqa...

Not Every Woman Supports Women's Rights

Sen. John McCain's choice of Alaska governor Sarah Palin as his running mate is a cynical effort to appeal to disappointed Hillary Clinton voters and get them to vote, ultimately, against their own self-interest. Gov. Palin may be the second woman vice-presidential candidate on a major party ticket, but she is not the right woman. Sadly, she is a woman who opposes women's rights, just like John McCain. The fact that Palin is a mother of five who has a 4-month-old baby, a woman who is juggling work and family responsibilities, will speak to many women. But will Palin speak...

Brilliant McCain Stroke: Now Hillary & Bill Can Vote For A Female... (Debbie Schlussel Thumbs Up!)

Though I'm no big fan of John McCain, his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate is a stroke of genius. Brilliant. I'm not into affirmative action picks, but Palin is smart, articulate, and competent in her own right, regardless of whether she has a uterus. And in this case, McCain picking a woman--a bright conservative who happens to be female--was necessary. It was necessary because Barack Obama made a big mistake in picking Joe Biden. He angered female Hillary supporters. Now, they will have a tough time voting for the Obama-Biden ticket, which dissed them, and...

Abuse Shelter Scandals Raise Questions about Sen. Biden’s Legislative Accomplishments 2008-08-26 at 9:10 am · WASHINGTON – Following the selection of Sen. Joseph Biden as Barack Obama’s running mate, public attention has focused primarily on Biden’s foreign policy expertise. But more focus should be placed on Biden’s signature legislation, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and the problems it has engendered, groups say. VAWA authorizes federal funding for abuse shelters and other abuse-prevention programs. But a series of high-profile scandals at VAWA-funded shelters raise questions about Biden’s legislative accomplishments: – In Arizona, a 26-year-old female resident at the Brewster Center...

Bischof Law: Government Abuse of U.S. Citizens Gone Wild!

The "Cindy Bischof Law" has the potential for victimizing innocent Illinois fathers and may spread nationwide. The Bischof Law is a draconian measure that will allow judges to order anyone, mostly men and fathers, to wear a GPS tracking device if they are simply considered to be at a high risk for domestic violence without being found guilty of any crime. There is a presumption of guilt without the benefit of a trial, yet the foundation of our criminal justice system is that a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Perhaps such a drastic measure would be warranted...

She's revered as a trail-blazing feminist and author Alice Walker touched the lives of a generation of women. A champion of women's rights, she has always argued that motherhood is a form of servitude. But one woman didn't buy in to Alice's beliefs - her daughter, Rebecca, 38. Here the writer describes what it was like to grow up as the daughter of a cultural icon, and why she feels so blessed to be the sort of woman 64-year-old Alice despises - a mother.
The following email leaked to us from a prominent supporter of Sen.
TODAY: Kansas Supreme Court Hears Tiller Case [Abortion-mill doctor subpoenaed]

The Kansas Supreme Court heard arguments today over subpoenaed medical records of notorious abortionist George Tiller, who is accused of performing late-term abortions — which are illegal in Kansas — at his Wichita clinic. In January, the Sedgwick County grand jury subpoenaed about 2,000 late-term abortion records from Tiller’s clinic; the judge reduced that to 250. Tiller is refusing to turn over the records, claiming it would violate his patients’ privacy. However, the grand jury requested that all patient-identifying information be redacted from the subpoenaed records before the jury receives them. Tiller's attorneys argued the grand jury investigation constitutes harassment,...

Swedish Military Forced by Feminists to Castrate Their Own Lion Symbol

The ancient and classic swedish military symbol, a proud male lion, was recently castrated by feminist forces in European society. Scandinavian soldiers (whose ancestors were Vikings 1000 years ago) are represented abroad (in Afghanistan and elsewhere) by a castrated lion. A castrated lion symbol was given in the Middle Ages to vassals whom the king wanted to humiliate. The video can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYvE-rTxsBQ. In the past, any male would be greatly ashamed to be associated with such an unmasculine symbol. But today even the male military leaders will, without any hesitation, castrate their own symbols that for hundreds...

About six months after my son was born, he and I were sitting on a blanket at the park with a close friend and her daughter. It was a sunny summer weekend, and other parents and their kids picnicked nearby—mothers munching berries and lounging on the grass, fathers tossing balls with their giddy toddlers. My friend and I, who, in fits of self-empowerment, had conceived our babies with donor sperm because we hadn’t met Mr. Right yet, surveyed the idyllic scene. “Ah, this is the dream,” I said, and we nodded in silence for a minute, then burst out laughing....

Marcia Pappas will probably consider me a male chauvinist pig for saying this, but her attack on Sen.
