Hopefully, John will check his messages soon and get the problem fixed, but until then, the temporary workaround is to go to Account (located at the top of the latest posts page) and then My Preferences and set 20 messages per page and 20 results per page: http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/settings Sorry about the recurring problem and hoping John gets a permanent fix soon. Sorry that the truncating pages and missing sidebars problem is back again. I'm trying to reach John so he can fix it. No luck so far. Hope he checks his messages soon. I've also asked him what causes this, but he hasn't answered. Hoping we can get a permanent fix soon. Meanwhile, the work around is to set the number of results and items per page to 20 each. Look for the "My Preferences" link under "Account" at the top of any of the latest posts index pages. Thanks

Hamsters are looking for minimum wage I guess.

As I was settling in to read a 500 post thread, the gremlin came back.

Sorry for the use of bandwidth but can someone please tell me how to send a private email to a moderator. I've tried a couple addresses but don't think they are going through. Thanks

Why is FR repeatedly having this problem? Over & over.... Why cant it be solved once and for all?

Hello everyone. I recently found this site and I enjoy it, though I find it a little difficult to navigate. I would describe myself as a former liberal who outgrew his college education. I look forward to lively discussion, and I would appreciate any tips on using the forum. Thanks.

I posted the following statement to our front page in response to the criticism I'm receiving lately as to not being fair and balanced and perceived mistreatment of trolls and assorted malcontents. Got news for all, I'm NOT fair and balanced. I'm biased toward God, country, family, liberty and freedom and against liberalism, socialism, anarchism, wackoism, global balonyism and any other form of tyranny. Hope this helps. Statement by the founder of Free Republic: In our continuing fight for freedom, for America and our constitution and against totalitarianism, socialism, tyranny, terrorism, etc., Free Republic stands firmly on the side of...

More than a third of House Republicans urged their leader Thursday to trigger a government shutdown rather than fund the implementation of the health care overhaul they call "ObamaCare." A letter from 80 Republicans asked Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, to resist any spending bills that would accommodate the new health care law, which is nearing a critical stage of signing up millions of Americans for health coverage. Because it's virtually certain that President Obama and the Democratic-controlled Senate would reject such demands, leaders of both parties say the standoff likely would result in a partial shutdown of the federal government,...

The Obama administration’s plan to launch a military strike against Syria is being received with serious reservations by many in the U.S. military, which is coping with the scars of two lengthy wars and a rapidly contracting budget, according to current and former officers. Click here for full article ======================================================================================== Obama "Coalition" collapses; Bush blamed Wow! Obama sure knows how to use the element of surprise, doesn't he? Days and days of leaks, from 'well-placed sources,' 'not authorized to speak,' giving out details about the likely targets and approximate timing of when Obama will launch his war to keep America's...

BRUSSELS, August 30 (Itar-Tass) - More than 10 NATO countries have "most definitely" refused any forms of involvement in a U S contemplated operation against Syria, an informed source here told Itar-Tass.

Has anyone else run into a posting glitch using Chrome on an Android device? After receiving a Chrome browser update yesterday, I can no longer post to FR from my phone. (I had never encountered any difficulties before this update.) The first word that I enter as a reply to a thread gets repeated when I hit the space following it. Trying to position after the repeated word to delete it just repeats that same first word over and over. I've tried logging out of FR and back in again with no change. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Bob.

This has happened twice this week. Surely there's some remedy.
