Top IRS officials have been working with Democrats on Capitol Hill to determine how the agency will enforce President Obama’s new health care law. Republican lawmakers estimate the legislation will require the hiring of many thousands of new tax enforcement agents. While it’s still not known exactly how many will be hired, here’s what’s clear: Under the new law, the IRS is required to fine taxpayers thousands of dollars if they do not purchase health insurance. In order for the government to enforce compliance, tax authorities will need information, for the first time, about people’s health care. Collecting that data...

A Russian investigator has said grenades fired by surrounding Russian forces could have triggered the Beslan school bloodbath in September 2004. Yuri Savelyev's conclusions contradict the official view that bombs planted by the hostage-takers in the school gym went off just before the gun battle. Mr Savelyev is a member of the Russian parliamentary commission investigating the siege, in which 331 people died. Many of the victims were children, taken hostage by pro-Chechen militants.

Avila jurors told to ignore airing The judge presiding over the high-profile case of the man accused of kidnapping and murdering a 5-year-old Stanton girl told jurors Wednesday that a radio talk show is “making a mockery of the criminal-justice system” and they should not listen to it. Orange County Superior Court Judge William R. Froeberg said the discussions on the “John and Ken Show,” which airs from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays on KFI/640 AM, “have gotten so far out of hand that we had to deal with it.” Froeberg ordered the eight men and four women just sworn...

What Is Napalm? nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Napalm is a mixture of benzene (21%), gasoline (33%), and polystyrene (46%). Benzene is a normal component of gasoline (about 2%). The gasoline used in napalm is the same leaded or unleaded gas that you put in your car. nbsp;nbsp;nbsp;Gasoline is a mixture of hydrocarbons, which burn in an engine. It is a clear liquid, made from crude oil that burns and explodes easily. It naturally contains some benzene (which makes gas smell the way it does). Gasoline is lighter than, and floats on, water, but it will not mix with water. It dissolves grease and oil...
