The family of Tony Snow traveled with the President today on board Air Force One. Press Secretary Dana Perino: The President invited them to come on a trip with him if they ever wanted to and the family decided that they would like to, so they're on board. They got a tour of the plane and they're up with the President now, and they'll be coming with -- just coming along for the ride, for the event. And hopefully we'll be able to show...

NEVER ENOUGH TIME While I have only been an occasional visitor to Washington, I was struck by one scene so strongly that it remains as somewhat of a reference. My first view "up close and personal" of the Pentagon was neither awe-inspiring nor intimidating. To be sure, I was impressed with the size of the building, but that was about it. What came upon me, and has stayed with me, is the image of an ant farm. An enormous one, surely, but an ant farm nonetheless. So may passageways with so many ants constantly...

He went home, wrote out a quick sign and came to protest the protesters. (BELOW) is the result. Apparently the moonbats believe that only they do not have to obey the laws. They were so upset over the “Clueless Morons” sign that they complained to the Westminster police. I can hear them whining now, “They they they werrrr on ourrrr side botherrrring us”. Some flowed poetically from the speaker's tongue, some had the overtones of a sermon, and others resembled conversation. I have also heard another type of prayer, though never in a church or chapel. Its usage is universal in the English language, even being used on occasion by atheists. The prayer is most often spoken during times of anger, frustration, or used to display extreme displeasure with a given situation or individual. On this 4th of July, President Bush attended the 46th Annual Independence Day Celebration and Naturalization Ceremony at Monticello in Charlottesville, Virginia (Transcript) Those of you taking the oath of citizenship at this ceremony hail from 30 different nations. You represent many different ethnicities and races and religions. But you all have one thing in common -- and that is a shared love of freedom. This love of liberty is what binds our nation together, and this is the love that makes us all Americans. You may have heard about the uninvited guests at today's ceremony. More on that...

The weather was a little cooler for this day's two man FReep but the action was still hot. Kelly and I received many honks, waves, and thumbs up. The moonbats had to settle with far fewer honks for their side. Despite what the polls and the drive-by media say, it seems the support for our troops and their mission is pretty good based on the positive responses we get. And this is from a blue state run by socialists. Along with the honks and waves, we got a couple of nice comments from people walking by. A lady stopped and...

President Bush held a press conference this morning in the Rose Garden of the White House. He discussed his upcoming trip to the G8 Summit in Japan (his eighth and last as president), the economy, and reemphasized the need for domestic oil drilling. (Transcript) But one thing is for certain here in the United States, that we can help alleviate shortages by drilling for oil and gas in our own country -- something I've been advocating ever since I've been the President. I've been reminding our people that we can do so in environmentally friendly ways. And yet, the Congress,...

The FReeper Canteen Presents..... The U.S. Army Air Corps Established July 2nd, 1926 The United States Army Air Corps (USAAC) was the predecessor of the U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF) from 1926-41, which in turn was the forerunner of today's U.S. Air Force (USAF), established in 1947. Although abolished as an organization in 1941, it existed as a branch subordinate to the USAAF from 1941-47. The Air Corps was created from the Air Service in 1926 largely as a compromise between advocates of a separate air arm and the traditional command structure of the United States Army. Members worked...

I just received an email from a very dear FRiend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous informing me that her husband had a very serious stroke on Sunday morning and will likely be needing surgery to remove swelling on the brain. This woman is one of the finest FReepers I know, she is a true conservative and a staunch defender of life. She went through cancer surgery herself last year and is now facing this. She and her husband and family need all the prayers we can give them. Thank You All and God Bless
