NEVER ENOUGH TIME While I have only been an occasional visitor to Washington, I was struck by one scene so strongly that it remains as somewhat of a reference. My first view "up close and personal" of the Pentagon was neither awe-inspiring nor intimidating. To be sure, I was impressed with the size of the building, but that was about it. What came upon me, and has stayed with me, is the image of an ant farm. An enormous one, surely, but an ant farm nonetheless. So may passageways with so many ants constantly...

President Bush spent the night in Tucson, Arizona where he arrived late yesterday evening after touring the areas effected by the wildfires in California. This morning, the President participated in a fundraiser for Congressional candidate Tim Bee before boarding Air Force One. Arriving in Houston, Texas this afternoon, President Bush spoke on behalf of another Congressional candidate Pete Olson at Ellington Field. Site pulls slogan after controversy Committeeman linked Obama to O.J. Simpson By David Maccar; Editor A Pemberton GOP committeeman came under heavy scrutiny last week after it was discovered he posted a slogan linking presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama to O.J. Simpson on what was called "The Official Website of the Pemberton Township Republicans."The slogan, "Obama Loves America like O.J. Loved Nicole," referring to retired NFL star and his late ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, was denounced by many as racist. Simpson was tried and acquitted for the murder of Brown and her boyfriend Ronald Goldman in 1994, but was...

Last time we were in Westminster a passerby couldn’t let the moonbats go unopposed. He had driven by on one of his rare Saturday’s off from work and was disgusted at the moonbats’ signs. He went home, wrote out a quick sign and came to protest the protesters. (BELOW) is the result. Apparently the moonbats believe that only they do not have to obey the laws. They were so upset over the “Clueless Morons” sign that they complained to the Westminster police. I can hear them whining now, “They they they werrrr on ourrrr side botherrrring us”. An officer showed...

President Bush met with President Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso, a small country located in western Africa. The two leaders are united against the corrupt “government” of Zimbabwe. (Transcript) President Bush: We deeply care about the plight of the citizens of Zimbabwe. And we hope there's a peaceful resolution soon. I told the President, in the meantime our government is looking at, you know, sanctions beyond that which would have been levied out of the U.N. It is with the deepest sorrow that I have to belatedly report the death in service of my late husband. My husband was a soldier of the British Army with an 18yr service record and combat experience from Northern Ireland to Afghanistan. He was a strong man and a doting father to his 2 children. He passed away in May due to injuries he sustained whilst serving abroard. My Husband had been through a hard time the past 18 months, which saw him in civilian court for protecting his family then being accused of a crime he did not commit...

Code Pink was sickly sweet in our presence on Wednesday night, trying to look good in front of their pot luck dinner attendees. AN ODD WAY TO PRAY Over the years I have heard a multitude of spoken prayers. Some flowed poetically from the speaker's tongue, some had the overtones of a sermon, and others resembled conversation. I have also heard another type of prayer, though never in a church or chapel. Its usage is universal in the English language, even being used on occasion by atheists. The prayer is most often spoken during times of anger, frustration, or used to display extreme displeasure with a given situation or individual. The vast majority of the English-speaking population...

THE NEW YORK TIMES VS. HELMS, PART 529,876July 9, 2008 Last Friday, on the Fourth of July, the great American patriot Jesse Helms passed away. WOW and DOUBLE WOW is the only way I can describe the Patriotic Americans that attended the Walter Reed and Olney FReeps. It’s Saturday afternoon as I started this combined AAR and my heart still pounds with pride over all those who came out, especially to Walter Reed on the evening of the Fourth. Since I’m honored this week to write the Walter Reed AAR and usually write the Olney AAR, I had to combine the two because of their similarities. Several weeks ago a question as to who will be at Walter Reed came up. About 4 or 5...

The weather was a little cooler for this day's two man FReep but the action was still hot. Kelly and I received many honks, waves, and thumbs up. The moonbats had to settle with far fewer honks for their side. President Bush held a press conference this morning in the Rose Garden of the White House. He discussed his upcoming trip to the G8 Summit in Japan (his eighth and last as president), the economy, and reemphasized the need for domestic oil drilling. I've been reminding our people that we can do so in environmentally friendly ways. And yet, the Congress,...

The FReeper Canteen Presents..... The U.S. Army Air Corps Established July 2nd, 1926 The United States Army Air Corps (USAAC) was the predecessor of the U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF) from 1926-41, which in turn was the forerunner of today's U.S. Air Force (USAF), established in 1947. Although abolished as an organization in 1941, it existed as a branch subordinate to the USAAF from 1941-47. The Air Corps was created from the Air Service in 1926 largely as a compromise between advocates of a separate air arm and the traditional command structure of the United States Army. Members worked...

JUDAS ASPARAGUS A child was told to write a book report on the entire Bible. This is amazing and brought tears to my eyes. The Washington Post has published an unintentionally amusing article this morning about one Danielle Allen, a "razor-sharp, 36-year-old political theorist" at Princeton's Institute for Advanced Studies. Allen, with doctorates from Cambridge and Harvard, won a $500,000 MacArthur Foundation genius grant a few years ago and now conducts studies at the Institute, where, according to the Post, "she works alongside groundbreaking physicists, mathematicians and social scientists. They don't have to teach, and they face no quotas on what they publish. Their only mandate is to work in the tradition of Einstein, wrestling with the most vexing problems in the universe." And...

Telethon Breaks Records, Troops to Receive Largest Care Package Delivery in History Written by Melanie Morgan Friday, 27 June 2008 The telethon exceeded my wildest expectations. In reality, the total far exceeds the final number. The response was so overwhelming that our website could not keep up with the orders. When all is said and done, I am guessing that Move America Forward will have collected about 1.2...
