Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev meets with President Obama at the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington in April 2010. (AP Photo/File) ( – When American voters go to the polls next month, among those observing the election will be monitors from four countries judged by the veteran democracy watchdog Freedom House as “not free” and another six it regards as “partly free.”The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) observers will “assess these elections for compliance with international obligations and standards for democratic elections.”They will also look into voter-identification and other laws which critics have labeled “racially discriminatory.”In a...

United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. The intervention has drawn criticism from a prominent conservative-leaning group combating election fraud. The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers from its human rights office around the country on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places. It's part of a...

Propelled by impressive debate performances, Mitt Romney has surged in the polls. Gallup had the GOP nominee leading by as many as seven points recently, and likely women voters, who once favored Barack Obama by double digits, now lean toward the president by only one percent in the swing states. Even more significantly, Romney has finally taken the lead in the Real Clear Politics electoral-college estimate, 206 to 201. And it’s plain to me what all this means for November 6. Barack Obama will likely win re-election. As someone who thinks the president is the kind of man who lights...

Donald Trump called in to Fox & Friends on Monday morning where, after discussing tonight’s debate and President Barack Obama‘s upcoming visit to The Tonight Show (accompanied by the chyron “President Obama Continues Comedy Tour”), the reality TV star teased a “big announcement” he has slated for this Wednesday. “I know one thing, you will cover it in a very big fashion,” said Trump, likely correctly. “Will it change the election?” asked Carlson

I am looking for a few private replies with the names of good aggressive attorneys in the Santa Monica CA area that handle financial fraud and the elderly. Whoever it is must be willing to actually step into a courtroom. The lawsuit target is a precious metals firm that recently settled a suit from the city attorney ,,, there is plenty of evidence already collected and available from the city attorney if they decide not to settle. The case specifically is in reference to a bait and switch from US coins that normally sell at a small premium over the...

Most Minnesotans are probably not aware that our state has recently seen more convictions for voter fraud than any other state since 1936. The overwhelming majority of those convictions stemmed from felons (rapists, murderers, gangsters, drug dealers, et al) voting while still under the supervision of the Department of Corrections. Thanks to a non-governmental organization, we brought some ineligible voters to justice, with 200 convictions since the 2008 election. Prosecuting felons who willfully voted while ineligible is difficult to do under Minnesota's election laws, since it must be proven not only that the person voted while ineligible, but also that...

I first wrote about Barack Obama’s “Dubious donations” for the New York Post just before the 2008 election. We returned to the subject earlier this month in a series of posts upon the publication of the Government Accountability Institute report documenting this fact: Same as it ever was. Today the New York Post arrives on the scene at just about the same point in the campaign that I did four years ago with an exclusive report that provides a case study:
  • 3 dropped as [WI] voter registration workers; felonies flagged

Three felons - including one man convicted of multiple counts of forgery - have had their status revoked as voter registration workers in Milwaukee and have been referred to county prosecutors after the Journal Sentinel flagged their criminal backgrounds to city officials. The three men had been authorized by the Milwaukee Election Commission as so-called special registration deputies, a role that state election officials say is off-limits to felons under state law. Checks by the newspaper turned up 11 people in all with apparent criminal convictions ranging from misdemeanor sexual assault to felony drug possession who have been authorized to...

If authentic, CNN’s memo explaining why Candy Crowley permitted President Obama to speak four minutes more than Mitt Romney during Tuesday’s presidential debate is devastating to that network: On why Obama got more time to speak, it should be noted that Candy and her commission producers tried to keep it even but that Obama went on longer largely because he speaks more slowly. We’re going to do a word count to see whether, as in Denver, Romney actually got more words in even if he talked for a shorter period of time. One of Crowley’s main jobs as moderator was...

The news of late has been very good. That is not a valid reason to slack off. It is an excellent reason to push harder.According to recent reports, President Obama's reelection seems to be increasingly unlikely and Governor Romney is beginning to look like our next President. It may be time for the Democrats to panic and they are likely to do so. Shortly before the recent elections in Venezuela, it seemed that Henrique Capriles would prevail and that el Presidente Chávez would lose. It did not happen that way. Now is not a time for those of us who...

....So far, 36 companies that have received federal support from taxpayers have either gone bankrupt or are laying off workers and are heading for bankruptcy. This list includes only those companies that received federal money from the Obama Administration’s Department of Energy. The amount of money indicated does not reflect how much was actually received or spent but how much was offered. The amount also does not include other state, local, and federal tax credits and subsidies, which push the amount of money these companies have received from taxpayers even higher. The complete list of faltering or bankrupt green-energy companies:...

Most polls are showing Romney up. BUT.. remember the massive amounts of voter fraud in 2008 that GOT Obama elected. That also got Al Franken elected. I think they (Obama) will keep looking for votes until they find them. Remember.. the votes that put Al Franken in office were "found" in the back of a car trunk.
  • Romney says Obama also has investments in Chinese companies and through a Cayman Islands trust

    10/18/2012 2:08:56 PM PDT · by Beave Meister · 11 replies
One of the many tense moments in the second presidential debate turned on a new topic in the race: President Barack Obama’s pension account. Here’s how it came up: Early in the face-off, Obama scoffed at Mitt Romney’s pledge to crack down on unfair trading practices by China, saying Romney is currently invested in companies "that are building surveillance equipment for China to spy on its own folks." Romney later explained that, yes, he understands that his blind trust has invested in foreign firms, including companies in China. Then he confronted Obama. Romney: "Mr. President, have you looked at your...

The media will "eat up" anything she feeds them and turn it into an endless scandal. Recall she took down Cain and RINO Whitman with NO EVIDENCE. Now, according to Drudge, she is prepared to launch an assault on Mitt (early warning here). We're doing too well to risk "an Allred." She can be stopped, but it will take action on our behalf. Please make these two calls. We will only get their attention if we bombard them. If you get VM,...

An appeal to the government of Saudi Arabia to stop publishing hate-filled textbooks was issued today by seven current and former heads of major American publishing houses. Leading it was Robert Bernstein, formerly chairman of Random House and founder of Human Rights Watch, who is now the chairman of Advancing Human Rights. He was joined by the publisher at Amazon, the publisher of Simon and Schuster, a Reuters editor-at-large, the editorial director of Broadside Books (HarperCollins), and other prominent publishers. I have researched and written about the toxic content of school textbooks published by the Saudi Ministry of Education for...

The economy, abortion, and national security took center stage, but the moderator stole the show at Tuesday night’s presidential debate at Hofstra University. While liberals were racing to announce, “Obama is back,” the debate resulted in a firefight that clearly highlighted the contrasts between former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and President Obama. From their leadership styles, approach to governing, and national security strategies, to their domestic, foreign, and economic policies, the contrast could not be clearer. Regardless of the questions, President Obama found a way to steer them to the issues he wanted to discuss even if the answer was...

Breaking news. Susan Katz, the “undecided” voter who “attribut[ed] much of America’s economic and international problems to the failings and missteps of the Bush administration” and “fear[ed] a return to the policies of those years should [Romney] win this election,” has decided to vote for — wait for it — Obama! This could be a crushing blow to Romney’s election chances. Any more like this and Obama might actually win the majority of Democratic voters.
