  • A Call to Reality and Cruz's Chances EVEN On a Second Ballot

Most news services are reporting that Ted Cruz currently has 559 delegates after gaining zero in yesterday's New York primary. With 1237 the goal, it is clear that Ted Cruz can no longer win on the first ballot at the Republican Convention. He would need 678 delegates to reach 1237 and only 620 delegates remain. Obviously, that is impossible. That would be 109% of what remains, and that is a mathematical impossibility. A good guess of how many additional delegates Cruz will gain between now and June 8 is 209. That would give him a total of 768 going into...

Sometimes it is amazing what comes out of the mouthpiece of a campaign. Ted Cruz's challenged campaign manager is proclaiming that Trump should drop out if he cannot get over 50% in New York. In that case, Cruz should drop out because he only got 43.8% in Texas. The opposition vote in Texas was 27% for Trump, but then 18, 4, and 4, for Rubio, Kasich, and Carson respectively. IOW, a non-Trump vote of only 26%. Kasich is running second in New York, and Cruz had 18% at last count, well below the non-Trump vote in Texas of 26%. In...

He also had to debate 3 candidates, one of whom was independent and the other 2 clearly hitching to the Romney bandwagon. 1. Trump A- 2. Kasich A- 3. Cruz B 4. Rubio - F I. Fox moderators have stated they spend huge amount of time and analysis preparing their questions. Then they got down to business, talking through questions. Monday is the beginning of National School Choice Week, featuring over 16,000 organized events across the country, an attempt to take on the anti-choice progressive left in America, the Democrat Party that prefers a government monopoly in the nation's school system in order to continue brainwashing children with their godless and anti-American Marxist ideology. Constitutional conservative presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a long proponent of school choice in America, came out with a video both celebrating and supporting school choice on Monday - calling it the "civil rights issue of the 21st century."...

Lone Wolf Terrorism is Still Terrorism It is a simple matter of remembering to recall that both Al Qaeda and ISIS have called on random muslims to engage in terrorist acts independent of the major terrorist groups. This has been called lone wolf terrorism or ISIS/Al Qaeda inspired terrorism. In any case, it is terrorism. When a triad of battle clad attackers kill 14 and wound even more, it should cause pause. The big winner was Cruz, and the big loser was Bush. See below. Just to get started on the right foot, let's state at the outset that "the moderators" could not be the winners of a national debate. They can certainly be the losers, however, if they impede, if they are biased, or if they are infantile. That describes the CNBC moderators and the first Fox News moderators, Kelly/Wallace/Baier. They were losers. But for moderators to 'win' means we have relegated the issues and the candidates to some kind of back row. Who were the real winners last night? I...

I am a Progressive Conservative. I base this on the definition of the word "progress". From the Merriam-Webster site: "the process of improving or developing something over a period of time". Among conservatives who follow the news, this word would seem almost a contradiction. They are used to hearing the word associated with liberalism and socialism. It appears those movements have co-opted a perfectly positive word "progressive" with its root word meaning of improvement. My sense is that the average person sees the word "progressive" and thinks "progress". This average person has little connection to secular campuses in which 'progressive'...

When a penis is inserted in an anus, there is a passable chance of disease or defect being the result. This is reality and there is no escaping it. Only a real male and a real female can make babies. Fabian socialism, fascism, islam are foreign imports. As varieties of Utopian statism, they not only offer no reasonable solutions, they are hostile to our cultural DNA. Full title: Lawful and Peaceful Revolution: Congress Present Duty to Call a Convention for Proposing Amendments. The means to peacefully amend our form of government is unique to American constitutions, as evidenced in the early state constitutions immediately after independence and the 1777 Articles of Confederation. In an odd twist, it was the amending Article, number XIII of the confederation that sowed the seed of its own destruction. While acknowledging that government must be amenable to change determined by its member states, it required unanimous consent of all states. The Islamic Jihad Conquest Formula By Matthew Bracken August, 2014 Mohammeds unchanging formula for conquest is time-proven; variations were also used in history by the invading Mongol hordes among others. Emissaries ride forward of their advancing armies, offering to spare the lives of the targeted population in return for their unconditional surrender and explicit submission to their new rulers. In the Islamic context this submission is exemplified by the fresh converts repeating the Shahada prayer before Muslim witnesses. There is no god but Allah, and Mohammed is his messenger. On the evening the Senate of the United States voted to effectively assign its power of the purse to President Obama, I thought it appropriate to call up an earlier age. Throughout the imperial period, the Roman emperors kept up the faade of republicanism. They pretended to consult the Senate and be guided by its votes. The Senate in turn, pretended it had a will of its own. Tacitus: Tiberius, in the meantime, while securing to himself the substance of imperial power, allowed the Senate some shadow of its old constitution. The meeting was described as "off-the-record". When questioned about that meeting the next evening by Bret Baier of Fox News, Krauthammer gave no real information. This is worrisome news because Krauthammer graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1975 with his MD and was board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1984. If the Democrat controlled Senate rejects the Continuing Resolution passed by the House that completely funds the entire government except for President Obama's unconstitutional, nation-wrecking, job-killing, pet project, the trainwreck also known as "Obamacare," then it is they (Obama and the Democrat Senate) who are clearly ordering the totally radical and unnecessary shutdown the of the federal government. We mainly look at the evolution of the technology in primary issue rifles or rifles similar to them that I happen to own. Since I chat unscripted without a leash for 35 minutes, you can imagine that I have a little clean-up to do. :-) I'll add needed correction here in the description below. I won't add much elaboration, as this is not meant to be a video about the entire history or everything about these specific firearms; it's more...

A Massachusetts resident is protesting his town's decision not to fly American flags from utility poles on Sept. 11 this year, part of a policy to recognize the anniversary of the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people with the flags only every five years. MassLive.com reports that the flags in Amherst were flown last year to mark the 10th anniversary of the attack and will be flown again in 2016. The board had voted to fly small flags on the light posts downtown on only six holidays every year. Resident Larry Kelley thinks 9/11 should become the seventh. Tony...

SAN ANTONIO - A woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed outside her child's school Tuesday morning. The attack happened around 10:00 a.m. Tuesday outside the Bonham Academy on St. Mary's Street. Teresa Barron, 38, had just dropped off her child at the school when the child's father showed up, and the two got into an argument. The child's father, 38-year-old Roberto Barron allegedly then stabbed the woman several times in the upper body and neck area. Police say a bystander who happened to be a concealed handgun license holder pulled his weapon and ordered Barron to drop...

Notorious PBS liberal Gwen Ifill took to Twitter to defend David Chalian, the former Yahoo Washington bureau chief who was fired for claiming that Mitt and Ann Romney are "happy to have a party with black people drowning," claiming that he was unjustly fired. Her defense was markedly over-the-top: "One mistake does not change this. @DavidChalian is God's gift to political journalism. #IStandwithDavid" One wonders if the always liberal Ifill would have said a conservative journalist who had been fired was "God's gift to political journalism." Actually one really doesn't. Hat tip: Clay Waters. Incidentally, Ifill is said to have...

A professor at the University of Colorado at Boulder announced earlier this week that students who own guns under the states concealed-carry laws were prohibited from bringing them to his class. But he was quickly rebuked by CU-Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano, who said such a request would violate state law. In an e-mail to faculty, DiStefano wrote: I have the utmost respect for Professor Peterson, who is an old friend and valued colleague, but I want to make clear that if the student carrying the weapon has a concealed-carry permit, the position implied by Professor Petersons comments directly violates Colorado...

NEW YORK All nine people wounded during a dramatic confrontation between police and a gunman outside the Empire State Building were struck by bullets fired by the two officers, police said Saturday, citing ballistics evidence. The veteran patrolmen who opened fire on the suit-wearing gunman, Jeffrey Johnson, had only an instant to react when he whirled and pointed a .45-caliber pistol as they approached him from behind on a busy sidewalk. Officer Craig Matthews shot seven times. Officer Robert Sinishtaj fired nine times, police said. Neither had ever fired their weapons before on a patrol. The volley of gunfire...

Ten federal immigration agents have filed suit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claiming recent directives are forcing them to break the law and ignore their duties when it comes to deporting illegal immigrants. The suit was filed Thursday in Texas federal court by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials. It challenges recent directives allowing some illegal immigrants -- particularly non-felons and those who came to the U.S. as children -- to stay and, in some cases, get work permits. The suit, obtained by Fox News, says the agents are being forced to "violate federal law." It says the new directive...

A Navy SEAL is releasing the real story on the Osama Bin Laden raid. For the first time a member of SEAL Team 6 has written a book setting the record straight on the raid on Osama Bin Ladens compound in Pakistan. The book was not authorized by the Obama Administration and will give the real story not told by the Obama-media. The book was vetted by a former special operations attorney. The majority of the proceeds from the book will go to charities that support families of fallen Navy SEALs. Reuters reported: The U.S. government was surprised by the...

llinois is the only state in the country that denies all rights to carry arms. When I arrived there this week, however, I felt like I was free compared to the District. To get better at shooting, I took a ladies self-defense training course taught by Rob Pincus at the Winchester Company in the Prairie State. With my gun in a locked box, I was able to take it from the St. Louis airport to the hotel in Collinsville and the two shooting ranges. In Washington, I can only legally have my gun in my home. A visitor to the...

Someone on another thread mentioned that they didn't see "2016 Obama's America" listed on Fandango's website so I went to check for myself. Turns out it is there and seems to have been there since it's release. (They must have been searching locally and not nationwide.) I found it interesting to read through the reviews. I recommend looking through them to anyone who's interested. It's very entertaining to read the negative reviews and compare them to the positive ones.
