    The family of beaten San Francisco Giants fan Bryan Stow says he took a “step forward” Friday when he mouthed his last name and maybe even tried to give a thumbs-up to medical staff. Stow’s family said in a blog post that the father of two was “very alert” Friday morning, when a nurse, nurse practitioner and neurosurgeon witnessed the gestures. The news comes less than a week after Stow had a 30-second seizure and underwent emergency surgery for fluid buildup in his head.     Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive end Andy Robustelli, a 19th-round draft pick who became a seven-time All-Pro, passed away Tuesday, the Stamford Advocate reported. He was 85. Drafted in 1951 by the Los Angeles Rams out of Arnold College, Robustelli was traded to the New York Giants in 1956. He helped the Giants to six championship games and one NFL title (1956).
