Giuliani Could Have Beaten Kirsten Gillibrand (Polls)

NYDailyNews: Giuliani expected to announce tomorrow that he will not run for U.S. Senate in New York, this makes Kirsten Gillibrand much more likely to hold that seat for the Dems (Hillary's old seat, & DP Monyihan).... Here's the last 2 polls from Rasmussen and Quinnipiac

Rudy Giuliani Tells Tiger Woods "Hang In There"

Everyone's beating up on Athlete of the Decade Tiger Woods -- his wife's allegedly divorcing him, Accenture dropped him, his dad and Jessica Simpson are getting dragged into it, etc. But some celebrities are offering Tiger solace and friendly counsel, our former mayor Rudolph Giuliani among them. US magazine gets Giuliani's take on the situation: Giuliani says Tiger is a "nice man... particularly with children. He was extraordinarily generous to my son and my son played golf with him." (Woods' lessons in niceness apparently didn't take with Andrew Giuliani.) "We know he's going to get through it," adds Giuliani (US...

Milk Toast Republicanism

If anyone had any doubts whatsoever that the Republican Party has lost its way and is no longer a true friend to the core conservative values of individual liberty and limited government, those doubts should be put firmly to rest considering the current debate in Washington over the proposal for socialized health care coming out of the far left. It is no wonder that conservatives, people who actually believe in the Constitution, are upset with Republicans who time and again run out to stand before the cameras and at Tea Parties to proudly proclaim how much they understand us and...

Rudy Guiliani (unannounced) 53%, Kirsten Gillibrand 40% NY Senate Race

Pataki would actually be behind 45-42 if he ran. It's pretty clear to me who should run, and that's Rudy. I'm willing to look past the issues like abortion where he is less than conservative if it means a sure win over Gillibrand. I'm pretty sure Pataki isn't so conservative either, so really there's not much of a choice. Don't they have to announce pretty soon whether they are running? In Texas the deadline to get on the primary ballot is January 4th.

Rudy Giuliani to run for U.S. Senate; If elected may aim for White House in 2012

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has decided not to run for governor next year - but will run for U.S. Senate instead, sources told the Daily News. A source familiar with Giuliani's thinking said the failed presidential candidate has been telling people he plans to run against Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in 2010 to fill out the remaining two years of Hillary Clinton's term.

11/19: Giuliani ... Would Be Formidable Candidate for U.S. Senate [Marist Poll: Rudy 54, KGill 40]

Published reports out today have squelched the long-standing rumors that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will run for governor of New York State. But, what if Giuliani makes a bid for the U.S. Senate? Giuliani leads U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, the Democrat appointed by Governor David Paterson to fill the vacant seat left by Hillary Clinton. 54% of registered voters statewide would vote for Giuliani compared with 40% who would support Gillibrand. Even one-third of Democrats report they would back the Republican challenger, and Giuliani runs competitively against Gillibrand in overwhelmingly Democratic New York City.

Dems, GOP split on NY trials of alleged terrorists

Bringing those accused in the Sept. 11 attacks to New York for trial would increase the security threat to the city and give radical Islamists a platform to propagate their ideology, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Sunday. Giuliani's view that the Obama administration is erring in trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others near the site of the World Trade Center was echoed by other Republicans on the Sunday news programs. Democrats defended the decision of Attorney General Eric Holder to try the five in New York where more than 2,000 civilians were killed on Sept. 11. If...

Giuliani: 9/11 Trials in NYC will lead to more Terrorism

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani blasted the Obama administration on Friday for its decision to try five Sept. 11 suspects in New York, saying that such a trial would only encourage terrorists to target the city once again. Earlier Friday, Attorney General Eric Holder announced that self-proclaimed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other detainees held at the Guantanamo Bay facility in Cuba would be transported onto U.S. soil to face justice in civilian court. "After eight years of delay, those allegedly responsible for that attacks of September the 11th will finally face justice," Holder said. "They...

America's mayor calls it as he sees it. That just about sums it up. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani tells Neil Cavuto that moving KSM and his other 9-11 buddies to New York for trial is an unnecessary risk and for that reason he does not hold back.
Romney likely to back Giuliani rival for N.Y. governor (Rick Lazio)

On Oct. 21, Romney plans to host a New York City fundraiser for Rick Lazio, a former Long Island congressman who announced his candidacy for governor last week. Lazio helped raise money for Romney’s 2008 presidential effort and played Giuliani in one of Romney’s debate-prep sessions during the GOP primaries. “It’s a private fundraiser and it’s not a public endorsement event,” said Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom. “But stay tuned.” The former Massachusetts governor is active in helping fellow Republicans as he continues to lay the groundwork for a possible repeat bid for the presidency in 2012.
Mitt Romney, the early favorite of many for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, is making nice with his rivals from the last race. The former Massachusetts governor, who was the source of much consternation among his opponents during the GOP presidential primaries last year, has made strides to repair those relationships in recent days. The latest example came Saturday in Romney’s speech to the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference in Michigan, in which Romney will praise former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s (R) effort to clean up New York and suggest Detroit could use a similar program.“Detroit needs to be...

Pretty impressive and, of course, the MSM will naturally do its best to ignore this news. This is an important piece of news because the MSM so enjoys attacking Gov Palin at every opportunity. For Example, it was reported that Gov Palin was invited to and will attend the GOP Senate Fundraiser, The Simi Valley Republican Women’s Club and The Change Point Church in Anchorage.
