Donald Trump has said he doesn't believe in man-made climate change and has called global warming a "hoax," but he's trying to protect a golf course he owns on the coast of Ireland from its effects. The presumptive GOP nominee applied for a permit to build a seawall next to Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Ireland in County Clare to prevent erosion, according to Politico. His application included an environmental impact statement that explicitly mentions "global warming and its effects." According to Politico's report, that statement says that rising sea levels in that region could accelerate erosion. The statement...

Don't expect Oscar De La Hoya to be supporting Donald Trump's presidential campaign any time soon. The former boxing champion is making some serious claims and taking a shot at Trump's golfing integrity, saying he cheated on his own golf course. "It shows something about his character," De La Hoya told The Associated Press. "Golf is a gentleman's sport. You don't lie about your score, you don't lie about moving your ball. It goes to show what we're dealing with."

Almost a decade ago, Donald Trump promised to build the worldís greatest golf course, in Aberdeen, Scotland. The course, Trump International Golf Links, was opened in 2012, no thanks to some windmills and a rebellious farmer, but a Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel report that will air Tuesday night on HBO shows just how much Scotland came to despise Trump over the course of the ordeal. Basically, Trump, in all his bluster, promised massive job creation and beautiful development and expansive investment and (from the Scottish perspective, at least) fell short on all fronts, making far more enemies than friends...

[Reuters pic]As I myself posted here in 2009, Barack Obama from the start projected a dangerous weakness in foreign policy, as I saw a future Putin proclaiming 'Yes We Can' invade Ukraine... and what are you going to do about it? Sorry to say that's all come to be, as the hapless, largely abandoned Ukrainians -and their lukewarm sponsors in the West- have been repeatedly outmaneuvered by Vladimir Putin, both militarily and diplomatically.
