The First Lady is No. 93. Yesterday, Maxim magazine released the first 10 names on its annual "eyeball-searing, fantasy-fulfilling, brain-exploding" Hot 100, and there, between an "awesome Aussie" TV star and a "mind-blowingly sexy" supermodel was Michelle Obama. Yes, the one in the White House. What's she doing in such a "stimulus package"? Well, Maxim says its knows a "political bombshell" when it sees one, pledging its allegience to "the hottest First Lady in the history of these United States. (Sorry, Martha Washington!)" In his "Stupid Fun" blog, writer Gerasimos Manolatos explains the apolitical process: "We spent the better part...

Heather Ferreira works in the slums of Mumbai, India, where she has watched thousands of women live under a "curse." The women she meets in the squalid streets where "Slumdog Millionaire" was filmed are often treated with contempt, she says. They're considered ugly if their skin and hair are too dark. They are deemed "cursed" if they only have daughters. Many would-be mothers even abort their children if they learn they're female. Yet lately she says Indian women are getting another message from the emergence of another woman thousands of miles away. This woman has dark skin and hair. She...

First Lady Michelle Obama says that she's handling some of the puppy responsibilities intended for her daughters Sasha and Malia! "Even though the kids are supposed to do a lot of the work, I'm still up at 5:15 a.m. taking my dog out," the First Lady said Thursday at a luncheon, reports People.com. "So for everyone who has a child asking for a puppy -- you have to want the dog," she added to laughter. Last week, Mrs. Obama admitted that Bo, a six-month-old Portuguese water dog, is "kind of crazy."

US First Lady Michelle Obama scored a rare accolade for a political spouse by being named on celebrity magazine People's annual list of the world's 100 most beautiful people on Wednesday. Obama, who has been hailed as a style icon by fashionistas around the world since her husband was elected President, was named in the list alongside A-listers such as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera. "I had a father and a brother who thought I was beautiful, and they made me feel that way every single day," Michelle Obama told People.

If you're not aware, Maxim recently released its list of the top-100 hottest women in the world. Of course on the list are people like Angelina Jolie and Heidi Klum. But on the top 100 is a woman who is definitely not what you would consider "hot:" Michelle Obama. I won't bad-mouth her too much, but the First Lady is not attractive, yet Maxim places her at 93.

Glamour magazine selected its top 50 most glamorous women of the year for the June issue, based on a panel of judges and online reader polls. Of course, we're barely halfway through the year and a yearlong retrospective seems a bit presumptuous. But it's the winner's circle that leaves us perplexed. Kates flank both ends — Winslet tops the list at No. 1, while supermodel Moss comes in dead last. With Moss's Topshop opening, Met-gala hosting duties, and anticipated forthcoming biography, we're surprised to see her so far down on the list compared to people like Rachel Weisz (No. 44)...
