"I shall go to Kurdistan." That is what Hillary Clinton should have said. If you are going to put distance between yourself and your president and commander in chief -- especially when it comes to war and foreign policy -- you ought to it with a bold stroke, and not just putter around. That is the way Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower did it when he campaigned for president in 1952 against liberal Democrat Adlai Stevenson, the governor of Illinois. Then, as now, the war-weary country,

Sunday on CNN's "Fareed Zakaria GPS," former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed the United States standing in the world and said former President George W. Bush is the president who made her "proud to be an American." Clinton then seemingly took a shot at Obama's current lack of direction in world leadership. "We have to go back out and sell ourselves," Clinton said. "It is not to be taken for granted. What do we stand for and, how do we intend to lead and manage? How do we try to enlist the rest of the world in this struggle...

Former congressman and Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin on Wednesday called Hillary Clinton “hypocritical” for defending an accused child rapist in 1975. “It is incredibly hypocritical that Hillary Clinton would carry on about an imagined ‘Republican war on women’ when she once got a child rapist off the hook who she knew to be guilty, and laughed about how she did it when interviewed,” Akin told the Daily Mail in an interview published Wednesday. “In the process, she delegitimized the legitimate claims of the 12-year-old victim and then slandered the victim to justify her tactics.”

Two top student government leaders at the University of Las Vegas are requesting Hillary Clinton return the "outrageous" $225,000 speaking fee she reportedly will receive for an upcoming speech at the school in October. In a video circulated by the national Republican Party Friday, Elias Benjelloun, the UNLV student body president, and Daniel Waqar, the student government's public relations director, slammed the university's foundation for paying Clinton so much for the event. Hillary Clinton’s strength among white voters is the key to 2016—and it spells nearly certain defeat and disaster for Republicans. Culture will likely shape the 2016 presidential elections, and this is bad news for the Republican Party. Recent polls show Hillary Clinton running well among white voters overall, showing real strength among white non-evangelical Protestants, and running competitively among white Catholics. Trailing only among evangelicals, Clinton is poised to move beyond the upstairs-downstairs coalition that brought Barack Obama to the White House, and that continues to characterize his policies and presidency to this day.

Is Hillary Clinton distancing herself from the Obama administration in preparation for a 2016 presidential run? Some observers suspect that's exactly what's happening via pieces like one in the Daily Beast based on ex-Obama administration officials telling a journalist that the former secretary of state wanted to drive a tougher bargain in the prisoner exchange that freed Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl than President Obama ultimately got. Much of the reaction to that story, especially in conservative circles, was that Clinton or her supporters were trying to separate her from a controversial national security and foreign policy issue. And that was...

In response to my colleague Jessica Vaughan’s revelation that an “ICE Document Details 36,000 Criminal Alien Releases in 2013,” the Obama administration said that many of the releases were mandated by a Supreme Court ruling from 2001. A spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) told Breitbart News that “mandatory releases” accounted for “over 75 percent of the homicides listed” (of which there were 193 — meaning that ICE chose to release “only” about 40 of the foreigners with homicide convictions). For all the criminal alien releases, Vaughan’s report estimates that about 8 percent fell in this category, or close...

Hillary Clinton has been praised for, eventually, tweeting a condemnation of Boko Haram’s kidnappings, but she hasn’t had anything to say about the Sultan of Brunei’s plans to stone gay men to death. And that’s not too surprising. Hillary, like Obama, has been to Brunei and set up relationships with the Islamic tyranny. Bill Clinton and Chelsea visited Brunei last year. Should Hillary Clinton resign as secretary of state due to the WikiLeaks revelations? My friend Jack Shafer at Slate makes a good case. His reason: Clinton, like predecessor Condoleezza Rice, signed orders instructing U.S. foreign service officers to spy on the diplomats of other nations. Cables went out under her name telling State Department officials overseas to collect the fingerprints, facial images, DNA, and iris scans of African leaders, to obtain passwords, credit card numbers, and frequent flyer accounts used by foreign diplomats, and to gather private information on United Nations officials, including Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

Hi there. I voted for Obama, but have been reading a lot of Freerepublic lately to see how the other side is reacting. I'm not trying to troll here - honestly - but if you feel I am, that's understandable. I just wanted to offer a perspective on this that I think may be interesting to some of you. Oh, and this is much longer than I intended. And I'm fairly certain I'm not posting this the right way...for which I apologize. When Bush was elected in 2000, I was upset. And yes, I whined about him "stealing" the election....

A Democrat walks into a bar at the airport and sees a very attractive, professional looking woman seated there, having a drink. He sits down next to her and surreptitiously slides off his wedding ring. "Hey there," he says, ordering a drink. "You look like you're traveling on business." "Yes," she says. "Well, kind of. I used to run a business, but now I'm in the public sector." "That's impressive," says the Democrat. "You know, I really respect that. I always said that women were more capable than most men. You can run businesses, run for office, do anything a...

There’s one Democrat who would seem to have little or no chance of being picked by Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) to be his running mate – his former opponent, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.). But it’s not for the reason you think. Obama has often said, most recently on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on July 27, that Clinton “would be on anybody’s short list.” But apparently not his. “She was never vetted,” a Democratic official reported. “She was not asked for a single piece of paper. She and Senator Obama have never had a single conversation about it. How would...

Hillary Clinton's former chief political strategist said in a memo during the U.S. presidential primaries she should challenge Barack Obama's American roots. Strategist Mark Penn was the New York senator's chief political adviser until April. In a 2007 memo, Penn said of Obama: All of these articles about his boyhood in Indonesia and his life in Hawaii are geared toward showing his background is diverse, multicultural and putting that in a new light. Save it for 2050, CNN reported. Penn wrote that Obama's past exposes a very strong weakness for him, noting that the Illinois senator's roots in America are...
  • Mayor To Rule Rainbow Bridge

Bo (woof) In Commentary: They say only the good die young, maybe that’s why I’m a ripe 16 and a half years old. Here’s the story of an elected official, Mayor Cochran, who died at the age of 12. Yup, a mayor that was elected to office at the young age of eight, serving four years before his death. "Junior Cochran, the mayor of Rabbit Hash, Kentucky has died at the age of twelve. A little young for a mayor you might think, but that’s 84 in dog years! Yes that’s right (con't @ http://boknowsonline.com/2008/06/09/mayor-to-rule-rainbow-bridge/#more-499)

It is the most amazing thing that a young black man who was just a few short years ago unknown to most of his countrymen—really, unknown—could, this week, win the presidential nomination of one of our two great political parties. It is even more amazing that this historic news could be overshadowed by the personal drama and spite of the woman who lost to him. [Snip] We will hear a lot of tasteful tributes this weekend to Hillary Clinton's grit and fortitude. The Washington-based media may go a little over the top, but only out of relief. They know her...
