Police have enlisted the help of a trapper to round up a group of feral hogsscaring residents of a subdivision in suburban Atlanta. Some parents fear sending their children to a school bus stop in the Lithonia area, where up to four of the hogs are roaming the streets and eating trash in front yards. Authorities hope the hogs can be trapped in cages by Wednesday morning, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish said. On Wednesday morning, Terry V. Garner, a 70-year-old Oregon farmer, went to feed his animals. Several hours later, when he hadn’t returned, a family member went to look for him and found, on the ground of the hog enclosure, his dentures.

Oregon authorities are investigating how a farmer was eaten by his hogs. Terry Vance Garner, 69, never returned after he set out to feed his animals last Wednesday on his farm near the Oregon coast, the Coos County district attorney said Monday. A family member found Garner's dentures and pieces of his body in the hog enclosure several hours later, but most of his remains had been consumed, District Attorney Paul Frasier said. Several of the hogs weighed 700 pounds or more.

A woman is shot in both of her legs by her boyfriend in a bizarre hunting accident. Police say he was trying to shoot a hog. 52 year-old Lisa Simmons of Brandon was shot Saturday night in western Flagler County. A 52-year-old Flagler County woman is recovering after her boyfriend accidentally shot her in the legs during a hog-hunting trip, according to officials. The couple was on a hunting trip at the Cowart Hunt Camp.
